Earbud Headphones - earphones, ipod accessories

It all started well over a year ago when I first bought my iPod, I recieved the shiny, white apple earbuds that came with it. Although they skimped on audio quality (big time), it made up for in comfort and looks. It was one of the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn, and after the 40th minute or so, you start feeling the discomfort, but with these, its less of it. They also feel great when pushed up against a pillow as I sleep with music on often. Basically, they feel and look great.

Yes, 14 monthes ago, the apple ear buds are probably one of the best, if not THE best pair of head phones I've ever used. But somewhere during the 10-11th month, they slowly started to break down. 4 months later, they have turned from breaking down to a pile of taped-together crap. It was time to get new ones.

I started carousing the site for ear buds, time after time I was led back to the trademark Apple ones for their known quality in design. Seeing as they were priced at 6.99USD I was thrilled and immediately ordered them.

That's pretty much the end of my happiness, upon receiving my new pair of supposedly "Apple" ear buds, I instead receive this utter piece of foreign scum. They feel generic, cheap, and used. The grippy parts of the Apple ear buds are replaced by aged rubber thats long lost its friction. On top of that, these feel as if they were custom modifications of a shoddy mafia man working out of his garage with nothing but used earphones found in the trash coupled with decade-old piano wire wrapped in saran. They no longer carry the signature comfort of Apple's ear buds, and their appearance was a half-hearted attempt at emulation. THIS PRODUCT IS a humiliation and a shame to Apple. (I doubt that such shoddiness would ever be approved by Apple, for that matter I doubt they are even aware that their name is being tarnished in such blatent poor taste and that the producers of this product, whom was most definitely NOT Apple Inc. is using it's name to fool it's customers into falsely relating this trash product to the quality that Apple is known for).

The point of this review is that for what I've gotten, from the vendor "MyGift," at 6.99, should have been worth 3.99 for it's relative lack of quality of which I expected from an Apple product (if it is indeed a legit Apple product). As a consumer I feel fooled into buying something I thought had quality, but ultimately didn't. Also, as a consumer I feel obliged to watch out for my fellow consumers to not make the same mistake I did in falling for this riotous lie. Do not be fooled or enticed by the low price, as you end up getting less than what you paid for, as you should invest your money elsewhere.

While I cannot speak on behalf of the other vendors, I am certain MyGift is 100% NOT the place to go to buy Apple earbuds (as due to their piss-poor quality, it will start falling apart by next week, or maybe even month, if I'm lucky), nor would I suggest doing business with them for any other product.

MyGift: Either shape up your product or take the "Apple" out of the name, you've gone tarnishing their reputation for long enough. Apple In-Ear Headphones (White)

Everyone knocks these, but I think they sound pretty good for the price. You just can't get really good earbuds in this range. Yes, there's not much bass, but they are bright and clear compared to the competition. Unfortunately, they hurt to wear. When I do find an almost comfortable fit, they fall out. Completely useless for exercise and not good for long listening. Somebody should make covers for these -- like the ear jams (which do not fit the new earbuds).

Update: After time, these get more comfortable -- or perhaps I figured out a better way to wear them. Those who say the sound is bad have not tested similarly priced buds. None are great in this price-range, but these are more than adequate for most listeners and better than most. True, bass is limited, but that's mostly the type of bud. You'll get better bass with a plug that fits into your ear canal -- although not from one this price.

i've been using this for 2 yrs. About 2 wks ago, the sound in the right ear bud became thinner. But 2 yrs is not bad, especially since is not expensive. They fit into my ear well, never falls out while i'm working out. The sound quality is not bad, if u r not very particular about getting the ear bud with the best sound, this one definitely works. Overall i like it, i'm getting another one. - Ipod Accessories - Earphones - Apple - Headphones

Ipad Accessories - ipad, ipad pen

The Kensington Virtuoso Touch Screen Stylus and Pen (i.e., the Kensington 2nd Generation Stylus and Pen, as Amazon lists it), measures 5 1/8" from the stylus tip to the end (by my own measurements). This makes it nearly an inch longer than my BoxWave Capacitive iPad Stylus, which is 4 1/4" from stylus tip to the end (not including the part protruding from the end that allows the user to attach a short string to the BoxWave at the other end of which is a plug that can be stuck into the iPad audio out port). Please note that BoxWave now has a stylus on the market that is virtually identical in appearance and function to the Kensington Virtuoso, called the BoxWave Styra. I haven't tried one and that is not the BoxWave model I'm comparing the Virtuoso with. I have big hands (x-large size gloves, larger if available), and the extra 7/8" in length really makes a difference in stylus holding comfort. Plus, it enables me to move my fingers back further on the stylus so that my fingers are further from the iPad screen, which is especially useful when I am using the SketchPad Pro app.

This is subjective, but it seems to me that the Kensington tip glides a bit more smoothly on the iPad screen than the BoxWave, but it also seems that I have to tap the screen a bit harder with the Kensington than I do with the BoxWave in order for the screen to respond.

Both styli are equally slim, and while I prefer fat pens (e.g., Dr. Grip) for non-digital use, the slimness of the Kensington and BoxWave styli seem to make them easier to use on the iPad's smallish screen, at least for me. I've tried grips on these styli and while this felt comfortable, I did not like how it affected my visual experience of my hand over the iPad (I'm left-handed and like most lefties I have to hold my hand above whatever I'm writing or drawing on - paper or touch screen, meaning that my hand is already in a position that tends to block what I'm working on, so this is a factor that may not be an issue for right-handers).

If I could only have one stylus, I'd choose the Kensington, because of it's longer length. That it has a built-in ballpoint is nice in that it's convenient, though the cap cannot be placed over the stylus end when the ballpoint is in use.

Another plus to this type of pen (this would apply to the BoxWave Styra, which is also a stylus/ballpoint, but not to the BoxWave listed at Amazon as the "BoxWave Capacitive iPad Stylus"), is that the cap that covers the ballpoint and that has a clip on it rotates, whereas the standard BoxWave clip does not. This matters to me because I find it uncomfortable to use the stylus when the clip is resting against the part of my hand between my thumb and forefinger, and because the clip on the standard BoxWave (and I imagine on other styli that are not stylus/pen combos) does not rotate, this means that the user is always applying the same part of the stylus tip to the iPad screen. It may take a long time for the tip to begin to wear to the point that it interferes with the stylus's functionality, but having to use the tip in only one position is kind of like having to use a pencil eraser on only one edge so that it wears down unevenly. (A user on an iPad app forum reports that he literally wore a hole in the tip of his iPad stylus after heavy use over time.)

Finally, I suggest that anyone considering this stylus check out the video review of it for which you can find a link (to YouTube) Kensington's page for the Virtuoso at their US website (Amazon deleted the link from this review, so you'll have to find it via a search).

I should add that it's a very nice looking pen. I have a pen collection, mostly fountain pens, and for a cheap pen (compared to the kinds of pens collectors tend to collect), this pen is good quality and looks like it's good quality. The no-name brand ballpoint ink cartridge is the fat type, and in the video I mention above the reviewer (Josh Smith from Notebooks dot com) says that the cartridge can be replaced with "a standard Parker refill." Kensington 2nd Generation Apple iPad 1 and 2 / iPhone / iPod / Motorola Xoom Tablet / Galaxy / Blackberry Playbook Virtuoso Touch Screen Stylus and Pen (Black) Newest Model

I use this pen with my ipad to take notes and do some sketches. I like that it's a little longer than other stylus pens. It has a reel pen feel to it rather than a short, difficult-to handle stylus. It looks nice and it very light. I definitely recommend.

This is my first stylus, so I don't have much to compare it to, but as far as I can tell, it works great and the pen on the other side is useful ... for the few times that I need to use paper.

What I like most about this stylus is when it's paired with the iPad 2 SmartCover. When moving around the office, I can stick the stylus to the side of the SmartCover and walk around without worrying about where I left the stylus. It relies on the magnets in the cover and since the stylus is steel it sticks to the cover.

It's probably unintentional feature, but very handy. - Ipad - Ipad Pen - Ipad Stylus - Ipad Stylus Pen

Travel Converter - voltage converter, europe

Upon receiving the product, I first verified that it worked in the U.S. without the converter enabled as a simple pass-through adapter. Once it passed this simple test, I gave it to my girlfriend who successfully used the converter in Hong Kong to step down the voltage at her hotel and at the airport. In addition, her roommate at the hotel was from Beijing, China and was also able to use the device to charge her phone and use her laptop.

The adapter itself is made of plastic, so it's as durable as plastic can be. The knobs that slide along the side lock in place once you've fully extended the prongs. It's a little bulky compared to other adapters, but that's because it contains several mechanisms for various prongs and the voltage converter circuitry. It also holds the input plug very snug, and the output plug also feels like a sturdy connection to the wall outlet. Travel Smart By Conair Adapter/Converter Combo with Surge Protection

The unit is easy to use. It worked perfectly for my laptop. I did notice that for the camera charger, in the converter mode my charger became hot quickly so I could only charge for a few minutes at a time. And for my curling iron, the converter mode barely heated the iron while the adapator mode over-heated.

We purchased this Adapter/Converter for a trip to Thailand ..... fortunately, we had a back-up adapter/converter. The Travel Smart by Conair didn't work from day one. It's a poorly constructed, cheap plastic. No surge protection....and none of our appliances (hair dryer, electric toothbrush, etc) would work with it. In fact my hair dryer burned out the first time I used it with this device. It's priced cheaply, but definitely a waste of money.

I took this on a trip to Israel and had a bit of trouble using it at first. The plugs tend to weigh it down and pulled it out of the outlet. Not sure I would purchase it again... and choose the small individual ones instead.

I was in Europe and this product stopped working on day 3. i just repackaged and tried to send back to the seller. this option funny enough had expired the previous day. Thanks seller for a terrible product and thankyou amazon for being unreasonable with your return policies. Let me guess, my comment will be deleted. Laser All-in-one - laser printer, canon

Overall, this is a good all-in-one laser printer for its price in consumer class printers. Here are some detailed comments.

1. The automatic paper feeder is well designed - the situation that multiple pages go-through at once never happens (in HP 3050, this happens a lot).

2. Canon provided a well designed user interface - functions are easy to follow and operate, including scan / printer / copy.

3. The automatic duplex print is excellent and make the printer worth what you paid for. But when using automatic double sided printing - the print speed turns to be less than a third (instead a half) because the mechanical parts need a lot of time to flip the paper.

4. As some of you may have concerned, the latest firmware (02/09/2009) makes scan function smooth on a Mac - all you need is to press the scan button. This is tested on a Leopard Mac Mini.

5. In case some of you want know the compatibility with printer servers, this printer is full compatible with Netgear PS121 printer server under windows vista (including automatic duplex) x86 and x64. It is NOT compatible with Netgear PS121 under Mac Leopard (no idea why - installation smooth and prints went through - nothing comes out of printer). This printer is NOT compatible with Maxtor Central Axis printer server function.

To summary, this is a good printer for its price. However, concerning its powerful function, you may want spend some extra money for the 4370n to enable every function on network - if you are working in a networked environment. Canon ImageCLASS MF4350d Laser All-in-One Printer

I purchased this machine on Amazon in November. Overall, I've been happy with it. Duplexing was an important feature to me, and Canon appears to offer that on less expensive printers than other companies.

I don't have a lot of experience to base my judgments on, but I think the print quality is very good, with a couple exceptions. First, the printing is sometimes crooked on the paper, especially on the back side when duplexing. However, the Canon rep I complained to said that a variance within 2mm is considered acceptable, so I measured and this printer is within that tolerance. It's visible, though, especially on forms, such as printer checks. (Actually, my cheapest of Dell inkjets printed straighter.)

The other problem also appears when duplexing: on the back side there's a strip of blurred printing from top to bottom where the toner didn't bond. This only appears on the first sheet after the printer has sat idle awhile. The Canon rep had no answer, had not heard of this before.

Yes, you can scan from the machine if you download the firmware update.

I think I'd buy it if I had it to do over. It's quick and has really crisp printing. If you want to compare, some similar Canons I looked at are the MF4150, MF4370dn and MF4270.

I am a bit disappointed after I've played with this copier ImageCLASS MF4350d. Note that Canon calls this a copier, not a printer. Thus, when you call Canon or search its site for help/technical support, make sure you select the "Copier" category.

This ImageCLASS MF4350d has been in the market for a while but no one reports this problem: up to this moment of writing this review, the machine cannot scan a document by using its own START button. Everything must be scanned via the software "Toolbox" from the computer.

I bought it a few days ago. I called Canon 1-800 for help but it was useless. Then I went back to the store and tried their demo machine; it has the same problem. Whenever I push the START button on the machine for scanning, there is always a beeping sound as a return but the LCD doesn't show any error - it always indicates "Scanning Mode." So I called Canon again to go over the story. Finally they admitted the problem and said that they are aware of this issue; their engineers are working on the new firmware to fix this. However it won't be soon. The new firmware may be possibly released next month but could be later. I also wrote an email to Canon support to confirm this information one more time, besides their verbal confirmation over the phone.

In addition, the scanning has no detection senor. Thus, the scanned document (scanned from the computer) will go as large as the paper size, which is usually the Letter/A4 size depending on your settings. The scanned document will NOT be resized automatically according to the actual object(s). It is different from its ink jet printers, which usually detect the size of the document or photo and then resize automatically.

If scanning a document directly from the machine's START button is important to you, you should wait to buy until the new firmware comes. If resizing the document or photo automatically is important to you, this copier or printer is not for you; you may consider others or Canon ink jet type printer. After all, this all-in-on laser printer is classified a copier internally by Canon. - All-in-one - Laser Printer - Multifunction - Canon

Garmin Accessories - gps mount, garmin mount

Of course I got a mount with my Garmin 205w, but I wanted to use it in two vehicles. I bought the extra one to use in my work truck when needed. It just makes is one less item to forget to get when transferring the unit back and forth between the two vehicles. ChargerCity GPS Garmin Nuvi Windshield ball & socket suction cup mount & Bracket unit holster bundle for Garmin nuvi 200 200W 205 205W 250 250W 255 255W 260 260W 265T 265WT 270 275T 285 285w 285t 285wt (Direct Replacement Warranty)

Beware of this product, I mounted the suction to my windshield and as soon as I put it on the suction piece broke off from the mount. I normally don't complain, but to have a product break in less than 5 minutes of having it in my hands is frustrating at best.

Do not buy anything from this seller.

My Garmin Vehicle Suction Cup Mount, which I bought from this company when it delivered it was strange that the protective foil on the holder as a stripped and restored.

When I tried to put the equipment in the same car was dropped after 2-3 minutes.

I tried to clean it and ask for another glass but again dropped.

Obviously someone has returned a product that was later sold to me.

Truly pathetic and miserable for 5-6 $

I can't really complain much because the cost (not incl shipping) was a few cents, but, MAN, they really don't make them like they used to. I'm not going to deal with it any more. I'm just going to buy a whole new friction holder/stand.

This suction mount is strongly holds in place just as well or better than the original that came with my Garmin device. The technical description on Amazon.com included a disc mount but I didn't receive a disc mount with my package. So I emailed the seller, and they promptly apologized and sent me a disc mount for the dashboard. Excellent customer service!

Item appears identical to factory unit. GPS fits perfectly into it. the factory unit "pulled" apart from the suction cup after about a year. this unit failed 4 months after purchase. Usage was occasional, at best. I have no choice but to purchase another one. hope it lasts longer though.

I had thrown away my original one, thought I would never use it. Stupid me. Anyways, I ordered this one. Was packaged in a bubble envelope, took it out, snapped the ball into the socket, suctioned it to my window, works beautifully. It's harder to get off of the window than it was to put it in there. :) - Garmin Mount - Gps Mount - Dashboard Mount - Garmin Nuvi 200

Charger - apple charger, apple computer accessories

I purchased the Apple 60W MagSafe Power Adapter (L type) for MacBook from Westronics, fulfilled by Amazon. The item description states that this is a genuine Apple product and that it is a brand new unit. The adapter I received was not new. There were scratches on the surface and one large gash on the side. The unit looks refurbished. Apple 60W MagSafe Power Adapter for MacBook and 13-inch MacBook Pro (Bulk Packaging)

The product did not appear to be new and it was not in the original package. After opening the package, I realized that the charger was missing the connection to plug into the wall. I was able to return this item for a full refund without an issue.

My device: 2006 White Macbook Laptop

At first I was hesitant to purchase a new power adapter from a non-Apple retailer because of all the fakes, but i'm fortunate to report that this one doesn't appear to be fake.

The adapter has the Apple logo and looks legit. However, the cable texture feels a bit grainy compared to my old charger... so maybe Apple redesigned the cable, I am unsure.

Anyway, the most important attribute is whether the charger works as advertised! I can report that the charger has been properly working the past week. The status light on the plugs work (Orange = charging, Green = Fully charged), and the laptop has not exploded or anything =)

When comparing this new plug to the old plug, this plug sports a new side design that aims to prevent the wire to bend and break from extended use (Something my old charger did). However, one thing I kind of dislike is how much easier it is to accidentally pull the plug from the laptop compared to the old one. The magnetism is weaker and a slight tug of the wire will unplug the charger completely from the laptop.

To sum up:

This charger works and is much cheaper ($15 bucks cheaper) than buying from Apple.

I will update this review if any issues arise.

The charger seems to work decently enough, but the coating on the wires is coming off after a few weeks of very light use.

Also, the extension cord was not included, and it tends to throw sparks when I plug it in. It's probably worth it to pay the extra money for a genuine product...

Terrible, i ordered this charger and it stopped working after a month!!! Do not order anythin from this seller, it is a waste of money, i am so mad!! I also demanded a refund but i havent even received an answer. So dishonest!!!!!

Westronics did not include one of the power cords. Every Apple power adapter comes with 2: the one that has a magnetic tip and an extension cord. The extension cord was not included.

Also the little thing that plugs into the wall appears to be counterfeit. It's definitely not the same quality as the one that came with my laptop.

I would never buy anything from this retailer. If they lie about one thing they'll lie about everything. - Apple Charger - Charger - Mac - Apple Computer Accessories

Kids Mp3 Player - car dvd player, dual dvd player

I received delivery of this product yesterday.I immediately went to the instruction book to learn how to set it up. First problem--the cable between the 2 units ( for simul play) is extremely short. The car power cord is also short. I have a mini van & these cords are going to be strained.I will try to buy some after market cables. I could not make the 2 units display a single dvd picture. after a long try, I looked for a customer service number . There is not one anywhere in the package. I went to amazon who got me in contact with a sylvania service rep. She explained to me that the only way to do this is via the unit"A" remote control & a small button labeled "in/out". Two mounting assemblies for the car are provided in the form of velcroed straps. AGAIN, The only insruction on this was a 2" by 2" picture in the side of the box.

The picture on the units is excellent; controls seem to be good; but their insructions & customer service access are sad. Sylvania SDVD8791 7-Inch Twin Mobile Dual Screen/Dual DVD Portable DVD Player - Car Dvd Player - Dual Dvd Player - Dual Screen Car Dvd Player - Dual Screen Dvd Player

Receipt Scanner - scanner, neat receipts

I purchased a NeatDesk scanner awhile ago to answer a growing need at home for more robust scanning. I'm one of those people that needs to have everything neatly filed away even though I will probably never see it again. I also religiously enter all my personal receipts and track my personal finances in detail. This seemed the perfect product to answer both needs.

I was used to the Fujitsu ScanSnap S510 that I have at work, but in addition to an arm they also wanted a leg. The price of the NeatDesk is substantially less (about 40% for what I paid), and the promotional material for the scanning software was really sexy. So I clicked buy.

After a few days, my conclusion is that although it could be an outstanding product with a couple of tweaks, it's just not ready for primetime. This may be the case of a small company working on tight margins with a product that got too big too fast. It remains to be seen whether or not they can keep up with their new-found popularity.

Here's the dirt:

Hardware:

Good Stuff

- Attractive design.

- You can click the hardware "Scan" button all day, but you don't have to file your scans until you want to.

Bad Stuff

- No adjustable paper guide. Unless you hold it as it's sucked in, every single document is crooked.

- Not enough paper support. Creased documents (like a bill) flop back and aren't grabbed properly.

- I found the slot for receipts and documents to not match any receipt or document I had... Nice slot for business cards though.

- The output tray is not attached to the scanner body. Huh?

- It came with the grim spectre of having to clean and calibrate your scanner. You don't have to clean or calibrate the ScanSnap, although the ScanSnap does include "consumables", so maybe it's a tie.

Software:

Good Stuff

- Recognizes dates, subtotal, sales tax, and credit card used. This alone almost makes the product an overall winner and definitely put it on top for scanning receipts.

- As mentioned above, you don't have to file away your scans until you want to.

- Extremely fast search.

- It's pretty--yeah, that's important.

Bad Stuff

- Always takes the scan from the front but from the sheet in the back, which may be more intuitive for the beginner, but also means that a stack of double-sided sheets will go into the software backwards (page 2, 1, 4, 3, etc.) so you'll have to sort your document before and after scanning. Maybe I just haven't figured this one out, but it does seem like they emphasis multiple single-page documents vs. one multiple-page document.

* UPDATE: I figured out that you have to put the document in face up and everything is scanned in from the last page to the front. Your physical document will come out sorted, and the software will reverse the order of the scanned pages for you so the electronic document is correct.

- Does not auto-rotate to fix crooked problem caused by not having adjustable paper guides.

- Does not do auto-color detection--it's either all black-and-white or all color and you must choose. Those "Scan" and "PDF" buttons on the front are great, but you have to go into the Quick Scan application to set up how everything will be scanned first, defeating the convenience.

- Viewing the documents that are in the library is difficult. Should have a simple hand-tool for dragging and allow multiple documents to be open at one time.

- Moving data around the library is laborious.

- Software installs SQL Server Express, which takes up system resources and at least for me causes the program to not want to start up (try again message a couple of times before starting). Sure the search results come back very quickly, but at what cost? As a developer, I actually already had SQL Server Express installed, but it went ahead and installed another instance... Not very nice.

- Lots of opportunities to categorize data, but searching for the categories is difficult. For example, to see what you marked for follow up click "Advanced Search", click "Looking at..." and select "Action Type", click "Selected in the List", click and check box that says "Follow Up". It's more work finding out what's marked "follow up" than to actually follow up.

- The heavy emphasis is on recording receipts for expenses that will be reimbursed by your employer or be tax deductible. So what happens when I have a pay stub for consulting work? I have to file it as a document where I can't tag it's dollar amount, can't tag it as 1099 income, and it can't be exported to Quicken. That's one of the main reasons I got the scanner.

- Categories for receipts are very limited. Need a split? You'll have to do it yourself when you get to Quicken if you can remember what the receipt was for. Sales tax is always exported as an over-generalized "State Tax".

How it Could (Easily) be Made Great

- Package in or sell another paper guide that is adjustable. You can use the same snap-in style that is used for the receipt/business card guide.

- Add one inch to the pull-out paper support.

- Update the software to take scans from the face down position first on double-sided scans. Take the scan from the face down position only in single-sided scans.

* UPDATE: Even though this way seems more intuitive to me, the way the software does it is okay (see update above).

- Add in auto-color detection and auto-rotate so that scans always come out right. If Neat Co can do awesome text-detection, they could do this.

Conclusion

Seems to be an innovative company so I'll keep it in anticipation of at least the software updates. NeatDesk Desktop Scanner and Digital Filing System

I went to the store looking for the Neat Receipts scanner, and I came across this new product. I could not be more happy for buying it! I had 4 years worth of credit card and bank statements piled up in boxes, and with this scanner system I was able to scan them and organize them on my computer in less than a day (I'm talking hundreds of pages).

I have absolutely no complaints on this (other than the price, which is high, but it is a new product and it will come down).

The scanner can read 2 sided documents and scan both sides, in color! And it does it fast.

It also reads receipts and business cards and extracts the information from them (such as what store the receipt is from, how much total was, how much tax was, date of transaction, etc...) The best part about this feature is that it lets you edit the information (sometimes necessary if the receipt was very worn or wrinkled.

The software is extremely easy to use and very powerful. A great feature about the scanner/software is that you can load a bunch of pages and start scanning them. While they scan you can work on filing other documents. Once the pages are scanned they go into a sort of "inbox" where they wait for you to look at them and decide where to file them.

The two sided, color scanning is great and very fast. Another convenient feature the program has is the ability to combine several pages into one document. All you do is click on the different pages while holding down control and click combine ... and you have one file for a multi page document!

All the files you scan into the program are searchable, so you can enter a search term and it will bring up all the documents (or receipts or business cards, depending on which section you are searching in). Very handy to search back on when you bought something...

Another great feature for those that do not receive paper statements is the pdf import feature! If you get your statements from online, you can still import the file into the program (as if you had scanned it in yourself) and have the searchable capabilites of the other files.

Keep in mind, this is probably not a good scanner to scan pictures with, but for a document scanner, it is fast, and very good. I just hope it lasts the wear and tear I'm subjecting it to right now. I am very thankful that this product has helped me get rid of all of my paper clutter!!! - Scanner - Filing - Pdf - Neat Receipts

Garmin Nuvi 255 - garmin nuvi, garmin

Let me set the scene for you: I arrive in Los Angeles at the airport, turn on my GPS system and instantly am ready to navigate. I then spend two days driving around Los Angeles not knowing where anything is located and haven't gotten lost once...

The nuvi 255, as in my review title, is everything you need. Don't spend more because you think you'll need to talk for navigation or that you want to connect to some navigation service or whatever else they're selling. This is a small, FAST, device that you can easily carry with you when it isn't in your car. And folks, that's part of a portable GPS system: you can take it with you so it doesn't get stolen.

I will give the following heads-up. The first time you calibrate the GPS system, it may take up to 10 MINUTES. Be patient, stand in a large open field, and don't move the device. Just let it sit. After that initial setup, you'll be walking on sunshine. Second, charging the device is easy. All you need is a standard USB cable that is used for most electronics. The downside, it doesn't show a progress bar on the screen as to when a charge is complete. Third, when you turn it on, make sure you have clear views of the sky from all directions. Otherwise, the system may not initialize properly. Plus, if you're in a city with tall buildings, you may be out of luck for getting signal (i.e. NYC, Philadelphia, Chicago). Normally, the difficultly comes from initially turning it on. After that, it's great.

This device is FAST in recalculating routes. Mere seconds and boom, you're back on track. No downtime whatsoever. This is really amazing.

You are given the option of navigation as a pedestrian or in a car. That is really great if you're on foot. You can easily switch between the two.

NOW... my word of advice. SPEND THE MONEY to get the 255 with the "text-to-speech." When you're driving in traffic in an unfamiliar place, you don't want to have to constantly look over to read the street names on the device then find them on the street. It is worth the extra cash.

All-in-all, I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. As I said to a friend today, it isn't often that I buy a piece of electronics equipment and have my expectations met and surpassed. As I continue to use it, new things continue to amaze me. Garmin nüvi 255 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator

After spending a few weeks researching this and that, I decided to go with the Nuvi 255. I would have liked a 255W, but just couldn't justify the cost. Besides, the 255 screen is sufficient. I chose it over the 205 for the extra maps and text-to-speech, which is a really nice function.

PROS:

The size seems small until you actually mount it on your windshield. Then it's just right. And the GUI is very simple and straightforward. There are a lot of "aftermarket" vehicle icons that can be just dropped onto the unit. It charges relatively quickly through a USB cord. I think with a little ingenuity, I'll be able to mount it to my motorcycle bars too. This thing is half organizer/phone book, half Nav system, which since I don't have an I-Phone is really cool. It's great to be able to look up a phone number and call a restaurant without booting up my PC.

CONS:

Even though there's 6 million POI, it's missing some surprising ones (a Walmart and a Lowes plaza, for example) that have been around for a couple of years. So to get there, you have to find something near them and that's a pain. Same with roads I KNOW are there, but not in this 2009 map software. Then there's the town names that seem questionable at times. My only other small gripes are that you can't change the text-to-speech voice...unless you want a lame elf voice or Death or something. And for some reason, mine doesn't want to charge if the unit is in use, which is kind of aggrivating.

VERDICT:

Seems solid, easy to use, and a genuinely decent product. Sometimes I know better than the direction engine (I'm sure you get that with any GPS), but if I didn't, I'd trust it. Seems to lack features of an upmodel unit, but for the money, I feel I've gotten a good value.

I purchased the Nuvi 255 as a replacement for my Nuvi 350. There is nothing wrong with the 350Garmin nüvi 350 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator with Text-to-Speech. The 255Garmin Nuvi 255 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator has safety features I want which include "Where Am I" that gives your location by street address, city, state, zip code, nearest intersection and coordinates. This is important in an emergency in a strange and/or unfamiliar location. Another safety feature is the display of the posted speed limit directly above your actual speed. This helps to avoid tickets and reminds one about safe driving.

Other improvements include a brighter clearer display, revised touch screen graphics, an arrow indicating direction of next turn and a TTS voice that sounds like a real person instead of an elocution professor.

The 255 also has a world clock, unit converter, calculator and photo

display.

In closing, I saved the best feature for last--the GPS function is fast, flawless and exact. - Garmin Nuvi - Garmin - Gps - Nuvi 255

Htc Desire Hd - case, covers

"I was skeptical at first about ordering this item due to both the new seller status of the distributor, and the fact that it was coming from Hong Kong and would take almost a month to arrive. I can say I am so glad I ordered it and I am very pleased with the item as it fits my new HTC Inspire 4G beautifully. I had a lot of difficulty finding a protective cover for my new phone due to the recent release of the phone and everything that looked nice was sold out. I found this case and loved the look of it. When the item arrived it looked just like the picture and fit my phone great. It has a nice grip to it but also a polished look that slides easily in and out of your pocket. I emailed the seller about the shipping time, as I needed to protect my phone as soon as possible, and was responded to withn the same day. Although it stated a long wait for shipping I recieved the item fairely quickly. I actually purchased a second case as a back up because I liked it so much." Excellent Product and Customer Service! TPU Rubber Skin Case for HTC Desire HD, Clear Frost Smoke Circle

I was a little worried buying one of these for so little money, but it delivered. It fits the Inspire 4G perfectly. It looks great and is overall just a great purchase. I've purchase much worse quality for a lot more money in local electronics stores. The material also doesn't have that "stickiness" that the silicon skins have so when I put it in my pocket it doesn't get hung up on the fabric, yet there's still enough friction not to slide around in my hand when I'm using my phone.

I'm going to make this review short because there is not much to say about this case. It's simple to install, easy to use, and protects my HTC Inspire 4g for att from scratches and drops. It was estimated for arrival in one month, but it arrived in one week, which was pretty fast since it came from HongKong. The case fits superb, I was imaging it being loose and made of cheap material, but no it fits perfectly and feels great.

Overall it is a best buy!

This case is a great fit. Nice and snug on my HTC Inspire 4G. Has a good grip so it won't slip out of my hand when pulling it from my pocket. The volume controls are not obstructed at all and fits perfectly around camera, lights and ports. The power button on the top is a little off and it takes a second try or three to press it, but not a big deal unless you're in a hurry to put it away.

this is amazing. for 3 dollars you get everything you would want in a case, AND it looks good. Fits great, easy to put on and to remove, and nice sized cut outs and buttons that actually make the power button EASIER to push. Only complaint is that the case is more of a finger print magnet than the phone itself. But scratches are barely noticeable. Definitely the best case around the under $20 price range.

I was skeptical about buying this because it was so cheap because we all know that you get what you pay for but this is the exception. It is very well made and fits my phone perfectly, has a nice feel to it too. Not too tacky but not slippery either. It also looks great on my Inspire. The shipping was very fast as well. Go get one, you won't be disappointed!

this cover is great for this phone it snaps on securely and covers the phone nicely, the edges are raised from the screen so if you put it face down on something the screen doesn't touch the surface, the rubber is smooth to the touch but will stick to certain surfaces, like my dining table, overall a great protective cover that looks great for my expensive droid

I just received this cover for my Inspire and put it on. I purchased the phone about a week ago and was paranoid that I was going to drop it. I bought this to put on it until I could find a more permanent solution. It fits the phone perfectly, and it even made tapping the power button slightly easier. I didn't really care for the circle pattern, but for 5 dollars I can overlook that. It also arrived ahead of schedule by about 2 days, which was nice. - Case - Covers - Htc Inspire 4g - Htc Inspire Case

Wireless Accessories - unlocked cell phones, sidekick

I'm very impressed and really happy with this Order.... Because first my phone didnt have any scratches, it was a new Sidekick and also it had a bonus clear cover that it wasnt mentioned in the description, and when I saw it I was really impress with it that I even thought that they send it without notice it, but then while reading the other comments i realize that I wasnt the first client receiving this bonus...Im REALLY HAPPY and i would buy more products from HERE :D Sidekick Danger 2008 PV210 Unlocked For Any GSM Carrier (Factory Reconditioned)

Over all I have to say I'm very impressed not only did it arrive earlier than planed it works great. And as a bonus it came with a clear case that wasnt mentioned above! Over all Im verry happy with this product and would definitly buy from BLUTEKUSA again.

I recently bought this phone, it looks nice came nicely packaged

buuuuuutttt

it sucks.

I had the thing for 5 mins, it would not accept my sim card, so I left for 5 hours I come home now it wont turn on im assuming its a battery issue the customer support for this company is mediocre and it took almost 5 days to get here. i am very displeased and am assured i will not find myself buying from them again. I really advise people to 2nd guess here.

For starters I am impressed with the arrival of my package. I live in southern California, at this moment we are having very unusual weather, and my packaged arrived within 3 business days, from New York. I did not special order it's arrival. I was able to track my order with amazon.com and shipping service online. The product was unlocked, worked great with my AT&T sim card. The company even gave me a free clear case to protect my phone. The keyboard is great to type with for those text addicts. The size of the phone for me is just right. The phone fits right in my pocket. The features I use are fully functional, only calls and text messaging. I have not tried the data (internet service) since I do not have it. I believe it was a great early holiday present for myself. Hope you enjoy your phone as much I do.

My phone arrived on time (yay) with what is listed, no more no less, and no scratches, dings or signs of use. I transferred my Sidekick to Go account to the phone, and *bing* everything was there in a flash. The phone is quick and responsive and the keyboard, while rather different than earlier versions, is very user-friendly. (I can edit stories on this thing painlessly; try that on aniPhone. Or even your BlackBerry. Not particularly fun.)

Understand *well* that this is basic. No wifi, no 3G and no flash. Internet pages load surprisingly quickly though, and I don't miss any of these the other features - such as gps (?!) because like most (er, or many?) of us, I carry another gadget that fills in any gaps nicely. Battery life is very good - 2 or 3 days of light use - which isn't common with newer gadgets.

So the SK 2008 choice is easy, comfortable, recession-friendly and rather cute. Of course, I could have gotten an LX with 3G and a bigger screen and mongo camera with flash, but you know what? I don't want an SUV in my pocket. Just an easy-to-tote, reliable phone that I can immediately use to text, surf, listen to music, take decent photos and send them, write my stuff (and oh yes definitely) edit it. Newer isn't always better; it really depends on your needs.

i bought this phone in novemeber , the battery doesnt work half the time , and heaven for bid you should power the phone off , its just totally unresponsive , so i usally have to take the batery in and out about 50 times i swear , just to get the phone to turn back on , the side kick is the worst phone ever , there isnt much good about it , its got 14 buttons it took me 2 weeks to find the power buton , right now its just unresponsive for now reason , and its about to go in the trash right after i get through with this review

I have had this phone for a while and with no data. its pretty simple without it just text and talk. no aim or web. its OK i like the swivel design and that is why i bought it. i would recommend this phone to anyone. just be warned that every once in a while a screen will pop up telling you to configure your phone but you all you have to do is press menu and go down to "phone and text".

First of all, I am using a TMobile prepaid SIM.

The following is based on my personal scrutiny of the unit.

Pros:

The swivel screen is cool but I could have done without it. The keyboard makes texting easy. Since it has a 3.5mm audio jack outlet, you can stick in your favorite earphones for your favorite MP3's. It has a nice user interface. It has Bluetooth for transferring pictures and maybe music (haven't tried yet).

Cons:

The swivel screen does not go through the fully open position sometimes. I have to push it into position. The included charger did not work. Without a data plan, you will not see the name of the sender of incoming text messages. I copied my contacts from my SIM. Without a data plan, there will be no incoming message alert. You will not know that you have an unread message unless you keep on checking on the screen or when the trackball changes color. However there is a tweak through the sound profile but will only alert you 2 minutes after you receive the message. The shipper was not able to cover the whole shipping cost, so I had to pay for the balance. Amazon gave me a promotional certificate as a refund to be used on Amazon sold and shipped items only.

Other things:

I got this unit by error. There is a black sticker covering the most of the battery back cove. I looked for pictures of other units and they don't have this. Perhaps since it is a refurbished item, it is for concealing some aesthetic defect. If it is something for concealing, it would have been better if they stuck the sticker properly as it was not put on symmetrically. All the other areas did not have any scratches.

My comments:

Without the Data Plan, this phone is simply a regular call and text phone. Bear in mind that you will not be able to see the sender's name and only see the number. You can see the sender's name by clicking on reply. For all the remaining features without the data plan and the inconveniences I have mentioned above, I have to say that this is not worth your $49.99 especially that it is a refurbished unit. I would rather spend $49.99 on another simple call and text phone. For the same price or less or perhaps add more, you can get more decent ones here in Amazon or good deals at TMobile's online store for prepaid service. You will be able to get one with 3G capability that this unit does or will not have.

Lastly, there is an advisory that Microsoft will cease giving service to Sidekicks after May 31, 2011[...] Most of the sidekick followers say that the unit is almost useless without the data plan especially that Microsoft will stop giving service to sidekicks after May 31, 2011. For this, I think it is impractical to get a data plan for the sidekick if it is still offered for the remainder of the time until May 31. Otherwise, this unit will be rendered as a not fully functioning basic call and text phone. The image quality from the camera is near decent. - Unlocked Cell Phones - Sidekick - Cell Phone - Unlocked Phones

Mini-usb To Micro-usb Adapters - micro usb, adapter

I'm sorry, but the truth hurts. I was very disapointed in the quality of the design, and the poor assembly. I actually broke the first one trying to put it back together, then I was able to superglue the others. After the glue dried, I tried using them as adapters on my mini USB charging cords and data Mini USB cords on cellphones. Well, what a joke that turned out to be. They did not fit very snug at all, the connectors fell off easily and if I wasn't so stubborn, I would have thrown every one of them in the trash by now.

For those of you wondering if I gave it a try on just one phone,

Motorola Droid X

Blackberry Curve

Motorola Flip

LG Flip

LG Env 3

Well, I guess it isn't too late, I still might, I just hate to throw away something I paid for, but in this case I will make an exception. Universal Mini-USB to Micro-USB Adapter - Black

Bought this item hoping I could take advantage of an old usb cable at work and be able to charge my Blackberry 9800 and transfer files between my phone and work computer. The first time I plugged the phone in I got a massage saying, "Connection unable to charge battery." The computer also doesn't show a device being connected to it.

I tried plugging into both office computers, one running Windows XP and the other running Windows 7 and got the same results or lack there of. I'm glad I only wasted my money on one of these adapters.

I ordered these for myself. The vendor shipped them quickly, and they work fine. I keep one in my car and in my laptop case for traveling. My company is switching over to the BB 9700, and we are going to use these rather than pay $10 to $25 for new car chargers for our users.

Not much to say except they work. I did not need to buy new chargers for my new Blackberry just because it has the micro-USB attachment. The adapters fit perfectly between my older mini-USB connectors and the micro-USB plug on the phone. A much cheaper solution than buying new chargers!

Looking inside one end of this connector revealed 1 of the 5 connecting pins was missing. The result of this is that it will charge my phone, but it will not allow my phone to connect to my computer for data access.

I will never buy from this seller again.

These are cheap so the plastic pops apart if lightly stressed... Although they work great to adapt all those old charges over to new ones. just don't move around too much with it or else it will split apart. 100% worth the price. To carry around when you need a charge they are a life saver.

Does not work with my Kindle, my Nexus S, Blackberry, so kinda useless. The reason is

that the connectors are not the same.

The above mentioned items all have connectors that are extra long on the ends.

The ones here all have the same length connectors so there are no long ones to make the connection. - Micro Usb - Adapter - Blackberry - Blackberry 9630

Panasonic VIERA TC-P50GT25 50-inch 1080p 3D Plasma HDTV, Black
Frame Sequential Technology: Full HD Signals for Each Eye

The method used to send left-eye, right-eye is crucial for 3D image quality and 3D Full  3D HD technology uses what is called sequential images. GT25 Series plasma display allows images to each eye alternately playing at 60 frames per second (fps) for a total of fps in both eyes. Viewers watch the images through 3D glasses with great precision (not included), which opens and closes the shutters on the left and right in sync with the images of the parties. Therefore, a different image 1920 x 1080 Full HD is sent to each eye. This solves the problems of image quality and blurring the previous systems that were common to 3D, and create sharp images.

The Frame Sequential Technology requires images to be displayed at 1/120 of a second--twice as fast as ordinary full-HD images. If the luminescence time for each frame were simply shortened, the screen brightness would be lowered. To solve this problem, panasonic shortened the luminescence time and raised the luminescence intensity, to keep things bright and detailed.

3D Eyewear: High-Precision Shutter Control Sends Clear Images to Each Eye

Very precise control to completely close the shutters for both eyes at the same time the images change from left to right in the eye. This residual image masks to enable 3D part of a clear and comfortable vision. Glasses sold separately.

Leather - galaxy, leather

After having searched extensively online for a Samsung galaxy tablet case, I decided to give this one a try because of (1) great price, and (2) it's a custom fitted case (where as other products in this price range use 4 flex bands at each corner holding the tablet down, which will likely block/press on the power button).

The case arrived on time and i was very impressed with the product quality. It looks great, fits the tablet perfectly with all the buttons and ports are easily accessible. The only down side, if i have to pick one, is unlike some of the high end cases (usually $40+), this one doesn't convert into a stand so if you watch a lot of videos while sitting in front of a desk (hint: use a laptop), then this might not be what you are looking for. That said, BestBuy sells their own version of this case for a whopping $50, so i am very happy with this product. CaseCrown Faux Leather Premium Case with Interior Compartments for Samsung GALAXY Tab (Black)

The case serves the desired need to protect my Galaxy tab, (GT).

I use the GT for my business and personal daily need.

All of the "cut outs" for ear piece, data connector, power, volume control, camera, memory and SIM openings are perfect and no need to remove the tab form the case to use them. However the case does have a cardboard filing. So after sometime, the case will need to be replaces. I spent $14 so no issue to replace for me.

The price has gone up almost 50% since I bought one of these for my mom's Galaxy Tab ($15 vs $10). It fits perfectly and offers great protection. It lacks a kickstand, but for the price I paid, that's probably asking for a lot. So based on its great quality and functionality, and the price I paid, it gets my five stars. At its current price, I'd give it 4.5... yes, it's still a good case at a good price.

I purcahsed the CaseCrown from Amazon because of all the excellent reviews written by earlier purchasors. They were all accurate. An attractive case with clean lines. The fact that they shipped it with a foam insert to keep its proper shape impressed me.) The portals are exactly where they need to be, and because this case is not real leather, it is a wee bit slimmer making it easier to fit into coat or jeans pockets. I will buy another one.

For me, this is really neat. My Galaxy fits into it and I can reach all the controls. It doesn't add much weight and it will still slip into my purse. It makes the Galaxy easier for me to hold and read or to carry it when it is not in my purse.

I am amazed on the quality of this case, i would guess it was worth 3 times what they are asking. The cut out sections for the buttons and the speakers fit perfectly. It feels great in your hand. It does not slide around in the case because it has a nice snug fit. It has a good amount of cushioning so it feels like it will protect the device from bumps and dings. It has a refined look like you are carrying a day planner or business note book instead of a tablet. It also gives extra dimension to the Tab so you have a more sure grip when holding the tab when you are using it.

No kickstand but for the quality you get for the price i will not miss it.

I bought this case as well because of the price. It fits perfect and true you really can't set it up for video's but its still protects your Galaxy Tab and looks good. I take it everywhere work, church, etc.

i recommend this case hands down compared to those others that are $40 and up. The cut outs for slots are perfect. Get it who knows how long this case will stay for under $13 bucks. - Galaxy - Leather - Samsung - Tab

Tablet Pc - tablet, touch screen

From the top; The tablet was delivered in 8 business days, which I would say for standard shipping, is decent, but not impressive. Once received, a quick inspection revealed the speaker cover was damaged. Other than that, no functionality issues. I've had the pad for a little over a week now, and still no issues so far. The battery life is ok, averaging about 2-3 hours of continuous use. Also, you have to re-enable WI-FI every time you restart the tablet. Note. This tablet does not come equipped with the Android Marketplace. Now, don't let this be a turn off, because there is a simple work around for this issue. This tablet is equipped with a MicroSD card slot. If you save .apk files on the memory card from your computer, the tablet will be able to recognize and open/install them. A quick Google search will reveal many websites in which one can acquire such apps ".apk" files. In this sense, you don't really need the marketplace. I would also highly recommend installing Astro File Manager, to expedite the process. Another issue I ran into was getting the WI-FI to work. The solution, is to go into your router's settings and change the WEP settings to "SHARED" rather than "OPEN". Usually, to access your router you would open your internet browser window and type 192.168.1.1 or something similar, and log in using the user name and password you created to set it up ... "Contact your service provider if you have problems doing this." Now, back on the subject of the tablet, after testing various file types, I have concluded that it open nearly any format that you throw at it. I also strongly recommend downloading Adobe pdf for android, if you plan on viewing .PDF's. The touch screen is actually pretty decent for the price. If you are patient with the tablet, it will function flawlessly. Android is an ever expanding universe of applications. If you are an iphone user, you will quickly find that many of the applications you have grown to love either exists also in android form, or has a similar counterpart for the later. Conclusion, for $240, this tablet is a reasonable deal. The build quality is also decent, for it being equipped with a plastic shell. It is lightweight, sleek, and the 10.2" screen, is large enough to actually enjoy videos, although, the video playback can be a bit choppy at times on high definition videos. I would definitely recommend this product to the people looking for a cheaper alternative to the IPAD. I hope this helps someone. Zenithink 10" Touchscreen Android 2.1 Tablet (ePad)

UPDATE 10/17/2010:

Installed the firmware 1014 - Good news. Android Market is now working for downloads as well. This firmware now includes a few more applications like Contacts and Places. I downloaded and installed the following free apps from the Market. These are highly recommended.

Advanced Task Killer Free, ASTRO (a must), Dictionary.com, Music Downloader Pro, TuneIn Radio.

UPDATE 10/03/2010:

Just installed the 0929 firmware (available from [...] under Company News -> Latest Software).

Good news:

. Wi-Fi now seems more stable.

. Android Market is now included along side with the following apps :

Alarm Clock, Bluetooth, Browser, Calculator, Calendar, Clock, Gmail, DevTools, Email, Gallery, Maps, Market, Music, Navigation, News And Weather, Notepad, IoFile Manager, RealPlayer, Settings, Spare Parts, Superuser, Talk, TaskKiller, You Tube

. Adobe PDF reader is included in the firmware package. You need to install it. There is also another downloadable package with various applications.

. Gmail works fine. Emails are notified when they come to your inbox (without interrupting the current running application).

Bad News:

. Market connects but could not download any apps so far.

. Adobe PDF reader crashes from time to time.

Overall every firmware is getting better and the device becoming more usable. However, I still do not recommend it to the casual user. Good luck.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been using this tablet for almost a week now. Definitely not an iPad replacement and not targeted for a casual user. It does use Android 2.1 OS. (Yes, Android is based on Linux kernel). It is almost unusable out of the box. So I browsed the internet and found a few sites with the latest firmware (0827). (See [...] for instructions). Once I installed the latest firmware, it become much more usable. I did not try installing Android Market, but it can be done.

Pros:

-----

. Cheap and an OK device for testing Android applications

. It has 2 USB (1 standard and 1 mini) and 1 MicroSD ports

. Easy to install user-developed applications on it if you are using the Android SDK and Eclipse tools.

. Battery life is acceptable (3-5 hours)

Cons:

-----

. Not much support from the manufacturers. Almost unusable out of the box.

. As another reviewer mentioned - WiFi does not stay on for long. I usually download apps to my PC and transfer them to the tablet using an USB stick.

. The screen is not very responsive and many android apps are not designed for the HD screen. So it is very difficult to scroll up/down without selecting and opening list items.

My Samsung UN55C8000

Okay, I bought this TV in July and returned after a few days due to some problems. I bought it last week and I'm so excited that I did. This TV is even better than last year. In addition, firmware updates are already installed on the TV and I had to do.

I have watched the following blu-ray movies on it:
-- Green Zone (This movie itself is made in mostly dark scenes, but I enjoyed it)
-- Prince of Persia (stunning quality - both Dynamic and Movie mode)
-- Cars (Absolutely freaking stunning)

I also tried a few Netflix movies online, but my internet speed is slow. I could not play HD movies through the bandwidth of the Internet, but the quality of regular film was fantastic. As a first step on Netflix, the movie seemed so real I just watch "manufacture" of the film. Later I swithced "naturally" in the menu and looked like a movie. :) I have yet to explore all your TV functions can be optimized, but a better profile to factory default. As the youngest of my 2 years old, I'm in love with this TV more and more each passing day. :)

I changed the format for playback on TV in "Dynamic", before playing Avatar. I swear I saw the colors of the Cinemark theater were not half as good as they look on TV. Great! Awesome! I also tried to watch the same film in 3D. The depth of the upconverted 3D mode was only partially correct with respect to the true 3D movies you see with 3D glasses.

Another star was lost due to the low double-edged (images crosstalk) of certain scenes in the movie (Monsters vs. Aliens) when viewed in 3D mode. People say that happens from time to time, someone said that "it is rare." Let me tell you what happens almost every time on the picture where the background is dark and the subject is clear and brilliant in it Example: .. The planet in the sky before crashing or timing behind the guy who is that with a ping-pong table or view in the church 90% of the film is brighter so we do not see double-board 90% of the time.

God forbid if we get The Lord of the Rings in 3D format of a day in the future we will see double-edged (or crosstalk) 60% of the time the film has a beautiful dark scenes in it. I talked to Samsung and guy advised me to install the latest update on TV, what I did, but does not solve the problem. And when I spent most of the dollars ($3,000) for this technology, I do not want to compromise with the quality of it. Nemo I also played in 2D mode and under-the-Sea dark scenes, it was clear edges around the objects in it (like his father, Dory and Nemo).

One last thing: I tried to play Blu-ray movies from my laptop and my laptop connected to your TV via the Denon. The film appeared on television, in general, believes that the handset is extremely sharp and clear. And I know that this is not the Denon. However, this does not bother me as much as crosstalk problems when viewing 3D content.

TV in 3D mode loses color when you take two steps to the right or left. Then she asks to sit in the Love Seat. If you sit on a chair outside of yourself or another part of the couch, you will not see half of the colors. But this is expected. "Viewing Angle" is generally limited to the screen than in plasma. However, the viewing angle is greater than 2D in 3D. But then you dance around to watch movies in 3D.

Portable Dvd Player Case - dvd player case, dvd

I recently purchased a Philips - 9" Widescreen Portable DVD Player with Dual Screens. I was concerned that this case wouldn't fit the 9" screens because all other reviews mentioned the 7" screens. This case fit the two screens perfectly! Another nice thing is that it is still roomy enough to fit a couple headsets and all the cords that go with the DVD player. I'm very happy with the product! Case Logic PDVD-9 7-9-Inch Dual Screen DVD Player, Black

After much searching and reading the reviews I thought I found my replacement case, however its just too small. I have a 7-inch portable DVD player with an extra screen that has served us very well. While the case holds the screens nicely, it becomes very difficult to get all the cords into the extra pocket. I got it in, but then another problem came when I tried to install the unit into the car. The case leaves no room to accommodate the cords to be plugged in...the car power cord and the cord that connects the two units. The case that came with my players had slits for the cords to plug in. I didn't expect this, but I thought there would be ample room for the cords to plug into the sides of the player, especially considering it is made to hold players up to 9-inches.

Something to consider before buying this case.

We purchased the case to hold our twin RCA 8" screens and they fit perfectly. Each screen has it's own pocket and are well protected with padding. The case includes a pocket to store 4 DVDs (without cover)but we just tote the DVDs in the cases separately and use this pocket to store all the adapters, headphones, remotes, etc. Once the case is full, it's still fairly compact and fits nicely in the back seat in between passengers.

I was looking for a case for my Audiovox dual-screen setup (purchased at Target), I think they are 7" screens. The fit was pretty snug - I had to struggle to zip it closed. But it holds them well and there are plenty of pockets. If you have a large DC charger/power supply, I don't think you'll be able to fit it in here.

I purchased this carrying case for my husband, who is an OTR driver with slip setting. He was constantly misplacing the cords to his 9" portable tv/dvd player. Since I gave this case to him I haven't heard a single word from him wondering were his cords are. Great organizer.

I've only used this case for the purpose of transporting both units plus the DVDs, but it does open ( flap down, like the dinner tray on the planes)to see your DVDs. I really like it, it protects both cases very well, and there is enough space for the wires and earbuds. I can also squeeze in about 3 VD cases, not to mention that there are some slotted areas for you to directly place the disk. I purchased these for use with the Philips 7" dual DVDs that I purchased on Amazon. I am very happy with the purchase and the price. I have other smaller CaseLogic items, and they have all been well made and durable. Hope this helps!

I bought this product for my philips 9" dual screen portable dvd players. They fit just fine. I put one in the main pocket and one in the back pocket. Of course mine mount to the headrest with a single strap so I won't use the actual case for viewing. However the case works perfectly for me to transport both screens mounting stuffs and a pair of toddler headphones. - Dvd Player Case - Dvd - Dvd Player - Netbook Case

Worth waiting to find HDTV.

Examiners greetings .. I accidentally found this particular model (UN55C8000) on Amazon, and is a 2010 model. The 2011 models (check your local store for the big "D" series), and are $3000 +, which was not interested because of the price, even if they are close to the bezel-less, so there is a high "cool" factor. I almost won the TV shop and I am very happy with the TV is independent.

My room dimensions are so small that the point of observation is only 8 feet from the screen (which is in my eye at the center of the screen. This is an incredibly bright screen and fast that ignores many others I have seen. I've been waiting 3D for a long 55-inch LED that I can replace my long outdated in 32-CRT (I know ... it's like comparing a radio to a CD, but that's what I had before), then c "is what I compare this to.

The monitor is easy to set up a series of screen televisions in the media. More interesting to me was the weight without the stand. Most people I know will be mounted on a wall or a monitor stand is designed to fix a flat screen and do not use the media very cool. I found that the monitor is very "light" without the base. It is about 30 pounds, which means it will not weigh your wall or put a load more about this monitor stand.

When I turned on the plateau for the first time I was very pleased with the reversal of tone and reveals how all the lights, instead of shooting. Although this is an "LED", which means that the LED backlight is a source. It is a well-designed features. I have a Denon AVR3806 which is a little 'dated, but I'm happy with the HDMI output on it to my monitor with a source of HD cable TV box. When the HD or SD, the picture is very clear . Every so often, I have a bit 'of pixelation or delay, but I think the reason is the source of the material is electronic.

When you watch sports or watching a documentary in HD is the star image ... In fact, the update (at 240Hz), so fast, that turns into an HD image that is a bit cooler than my CRT. I changed my colors and my color, but the real reason is the rate Update of your monitor. I have not tested the game with Blue-Ray or 3D from this paper (I just bought the Samsung BD-D6700, so I expect really good things with him).

Overall, I was struck by the level of black, the color is very lively, but the refresh rate so fast that it overwhelms most sources give the viewer a "digital video and listen to the recorded image screen. This is a set of high quality. If they are not placed on the aesthetics of the new model "D", save your money and worry about the big picture of this.

Kindle 3 Case - kindle, kindle 3 cover

I am very happy with this Kindle case. It is very high quality, with good, heavy stitching and sturdy front and back covers. The front flap is held closed with a magnet, a very nice touch. My Kindle fits in this case very tightly, so it feels secure and it will definitely never fall out. All in all a great product.

Also, when I received my case, it had a small cosmetic defect on the front cover. When I contacted the seller, I figured I'd have to send the case back and wait for a replacement. Rather, JAVOedge immediately sent me a replacement and a pre-paid return envelope for the original case, so it didn't cost me a penny and I didn't have to go without a case in the mean time. This is the kind of service that makes me want to do future business with this seller.

A+ all around! JAVOedge Cherry Blossom Book Case for Amazon Kindle 3 (Twilight Purple)

After I receive my Kindle, I knew I would need a cover to protect it. After much research, I decided on this one. I love that it's an animal friendly cover and the design is simply gorgeous. This cover has a nice feel to it. Another plus for me is that it's the type of cover that you slide your Kindle into and not one that attaches to your Kindle with metal hooks. For this price, this cover is a must buy!

I looked at tons of covers before selecting one. Reviews are important to me. I read a lot of covers looked nice but felt cheap or the outer covers cracked when you folded it back to read. Also a lot of covers have elastic bands holding the kindle in at the corners, covering some of the buttons or not feeling entirely secure.

This cover if amazing. A perfect size slot for the kindle that slides in and fits snug, no slipping out. The cut is perfect that every button is visible. It's slightly padded for protection, I love the pattern, and it seems to be made really well. I would absolutely tell you, buy one of these before any other! I got the blue but I don't see it offered anymore.

Very cute, a little thick for protection, folds back easily so you can use it how you want. The only complaint, sometimes the cover gets a little in the way of the up button on the 5 way and it casts a little bit of a shadow on the top line of the book from the cover when you are reading with a lamp. I like it overall, those are the only 2 things not perfect! I wouldn't not-buy it because of these things.

Being new to the Kindle world and having spent good money on it, I wanted to make sure I protected my investment. And I'm happy to say that I've done that. The fabric is denim-like in texture, meaning I don't fear it will somehow slip out of my hands. The interior fabric, for the most part, is suede-like and helps to protect the screen of the Kindle. And the ease of just slipping the Kindle in, rather than having to use clips to secure it in place means I won't somehow scratch or mar the Kindle. Plus the magnetic closures, how smart is that! You don't see them unless you look very closely but you most certainly feel them hold the cover closed. LOVE IT!

I love this kindle case. It's so much more fun and unique than most of the cases I saw and the pattern hides dirt and signs of wear and tear. I fold the cover back to make it a bit easier to hold, but it works well and hasn't given me any problems.

I spent hours searching for a trendy case that was NOT made of leather. Finally, I found this case. I love it. I almost never take my Kindle out of this case.

-My Kindle 3g slides from the top down and fits snugly. (No metal hooks!)

-Case can be folded back with out fear of it cracking or breaking.

-The magnet keeps the case closed very securely.

-The cloth is durable, high quality and is stitched well.

-You can easily charge your Kindle while it is in the case.

Would I recommend this to anyone? Yes, I would. In fact, If I had the capability of getting a different case I would not. LOVE IT.

I am so happy with this Kindle jacket. The material is sturdy and very pretty. The Kindle fits really snuggly inside without covering any of the buttons. The front cover easily folds behind for easy one-handed holding. I highly recommend it! - Kindle - Kindle 3 Cover - Kindle Accessory - Light Weight

Home Theater - home theater receivers, hdmi

The sound from my ten year old Onkyo TX-DS474 was now inferior and I had read very good reviews of the Onkyo SR 507, so decided to pre order the brand new SR 508. It arrived from Amazon on April 29th. I used the built in equalizer to set up the speakers, connected the receiver with brand new HDMI v1.4 cables and connected it to my Dish satellite receiver, my Panasonic BluRay DVD player and my Panasonic HDTV. The sound was excellent. Whereas before we had to turn up the volume too loud to follow dialog on some shows, or else it was not clear, with the SR 508 the sound was so much clearer that we could keep the volume much lower.

After about three days I noticed that although I would assign the input as cab/sat, the receiver indicated ipod (now no ipod dock was connected to the receiver) but the sound still came through from the satellite box. Strange but no problem. Then exactly one week after receiving the receiver, in the middle of watching a show, the picture and sound went blank. No pushing of different buttons on the remote would make it work. My first reaction was a bad HDMI cable, so I changed it. Nothing. I switched to the DVD player, but again blank. So then I hooked up the satellite box and the DVD player directly to the TV by separate HDMI cables, turned on the TV speakers, and the TV works again. Obviously the SR 508 suddenly failed and would not even work as a pass through. I am returning the set to Amazon for a replacement. If the replacement works fine for a reasonable amount of time, I will update this review.

I chose Onkyo partially because of its RIHD feature in conjunction with Panasonic. In my experience that only works so-so. Turning on the BluRay DVD player did switch the receiver directly to DVD. But turning it off does not switch back automatically to cab/sat. Turning off the TV also turns off the Onkyo, but not vice versa. You still have to turn on the Onkyo receiver separately.

One unexpected problem with the receiver is that the zone 2 input works only with an analog signal. On my DS-474, I have set up output B to speakers in my screened in porch to be able to listen to CDs or TV there. The B speakers work with digital. Now all my signal inputs for zone 2 are digital, so it appears that the zone 2 feature is useless. Bummer!

I should specify that I am not at all techie, so there may be work arounds that I don't know!

Update#1: The unit failed Thursday evening, I requested a replacement online from Amazon on Friday noon, it arrived at my house on Saturday at about 2pm. I'm sure everyone would agree that that is outstanding customer service from Amazon. I have now (Sunday) installed the replacement unit and again it appears to be working great. Provided it continues to do so, I will add a second update and change my rating to four stars. I remain disappointed that the zone 2 is not digital, hence not 5 stars.

Update #2: Four days after installing the second receiver, it also failed in the same way. However, at the bottom of the "Troubleshooting" page in the user manual, I found the following comment: "The AV receiver contains a microcomputer for signal processing and control functions. In very rare situations, severe interference, noise from an external source, or static electricity may cause it to lock up. In the unlikely event this happens, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet, wait at least five seconds and then plug it in again."

That worked and it has not locked up again in the last ten days. However, I certainly take issue with the "rare circumstances" and "unlikely event" and I can't imagine any special event that may have caused it. My receiver is in a cabinet with the plug behind it, so unplugging is quite inconvenient. This said, the sound from the receiver is really clear so, if this problem does not recur frequently, I will be happy with the purchase. I'm changing my rating from one star to three stars. Onkyo TX-SR508 7.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver (Black)

I bought this to replace my Sony receiver I purchased from Amazon 3 years ago (almost to the day). While there was nothing "wrong" with my Sony receiver, I quickly realized once I plugged the Onkyo in, that my surround speakers were not being utilized as they should be.

While I am not an audiophile, I do have some quality speakers, and I do like having a quaility sound while watching movies (and playing Xbox). The sound is so clear and crisp with this receiver. Further, the set up with the 4 HDMI inputs made my stereo cabinet so much cleaner, and I got rid of all of my YRW and RBG wires. I am sure I could have invested another $300 and really got some really high end equipment, but honestly, the Onkyo is worth it. The funny thing is, I spent the same amount on the new Onkyo as I did on the old Sony, and the difference is just amazing.

The on-screen set up is great. It makes customizing the inputs and the equilizer so easy. And the speaker test really lets you know what where you need to place you speakers. What else can I say about this product? Honestly, this is the best purchase I have made in a long time. I think the 4 HDMI inputs alone make this a must-have over any other receiver similarly priced. I almost bought another Sony instead of the Onkyo (mostly because I have never purchased anything other than Sony receivers), but I am glad I made the switch. Now that I have experienced Onkyo, I think I have made a life long switch.

If you have any hesitations about buying this product, please feel free to send me a message, and I will try to answer your question before you buy. And if you have never bought an Onkyo before, try it first, and I am pretty sure you will like it (I would almost guarantee it). If not, return it to Amazon. They are really good with returns. But I doubt you will even want to return it once you get it set up. - Home Theater Receivers - Hdmi - Receiver - Home Theater
