Blackberry Accessories

I wanted to replace my iPod Touch/cellphone combination with just a cellphone and I wasn't interested in the iPhone. I opted for Blackberry but then wanted comparable headphone quality to what I had with my Touch. Not having a remote on the standard headphone cord was not going to cut it for listening to music on my Blackberry. (That's just a personal preference.) These are in-the-ear-canal headphones and not like the earbuds I had for my Touch. I worried because I had problems before getting the in-canal headphones to stay in my ear. I was surprised at how well these work. The sound is decent and satisfies my needs. I've used them for almost 2 months now and haven't experienced any problems and the remote on the cord is a big plus. For me, it's easier to control than the equivalent iPod earbuds with the remote on the cord. They are definitely not worth the retail price of close to $100 but are worth it at a discounted price. BlackBerry Premium Multimedia Headset with Case (3.5mm)

I really like this headset, good sound, but the manual says that it contains an internal battery to allow the button functions to work. Like 'skip' 'previous' 'vol up' and 'vol down' Once the battery goes those functions no longer work. You can still use the headphones and the play button, but that's it. Battery supposedly lasts 2 years with regular use. Very disappointing. My buttons no longer work, and if the product has been sitting in the warehouse, good luck with the 2 year battery

Was looking forward to using this on my Storm 2, but it failed. I have a Verizon Storm 2 running 5.0.0.320 and apparently someone dropped the ball on making this compatible with that software release. Getting audio is not a problem, but the only control that works is the play/pause button. The skip forward, skip back and volume controls are all dead. With that said, it only gets 1 star no matter how good any other functions are.

I thought it was a problem with the headphones so I had Amazon send me a new pair--same problem. Then I checked the CrackBerry forums and saw the pattern that other Verizon people were reporting. Many of the report trying to get help from RIM, but they offer no support for accessories apparently. So, back it went.

The earbuds were a little weird the small amount of time that I used these. Grateful for the many sizes, but it was hard to get a good fit that did not want to fall out of my ear or feel like I crammed a peanut down my ear canal.

What time I did spend with it listening to music they produced an excellent sound.

Bought this mostly for in-line control features to control my Bold 9700 when it's holstered. The complaints that I have with this headphones is mostly the lack of bass and that the lapel clip keeps coming off. Before this I was using the Sony h.ear earphones with my Bold 9700 to listen to the music stored which which to me was not a high baseline of comparison. The call quality is ok but I wish RIM fixes the ringing issue on all their Blackberry devices when using any headset and not just mutes the music if an incoming call comes in which causes miscalls.

The other accessories are a plus especially the case but I haven't had the need to swap out the other parts that came with it. The right-angle connector is again a plus but feels that it sticks out farther than I'm accustomed to. The gun-metal highlights on the headphones are a plus. Also wish Amazon noted down that it's in an OEM packaging.

I was looking for a headset for my Blackberry curve and when i came across these on Amazon I decided to give them a try. I've tried other hands free devices like Bluetooth's etc. But these are snug in my ears, the convenience of the media controls are awesome, they come with a very nice leather carrying case, different colored ear attachments, and also an array of ear pieces to fit your size nice and comfy. So I would definitely recommend these for you if you were like me :-) Oh yeah....these babies bump your music so clearly if feels like I'm in a concert.

I bought this as a replacement to my android headset that came with my nexus one. I was completely blown away by the sound quality and comfort.

the leather case to keep the headset in is a nice add.

this really is a premium, good quality headset.

I just changed cell phones, opting for the Blackberry Storm 2, and needed a headset not only for calls but to listen to my music. I never expected I'd find anything allowing such quality by way of ear buds, though. I use a high quality over the ear headset at home that is about the best one can buy, IMHO. To my great surprise, the Blackberry Premium Multimedia Headset might even beat that expensive headset in sound quality and range.

I highly recommend them.

I've had some pretty amazing results using this when making calls in noisy environments. The mic does a surprisingly good job. It's also nice to have a case to neatly wrap these suckers in instead of trying to cram them into my pocket. The controls have a light hollow plastic feel but they work just fine with most apps. The larger size makes for easier operation without looking. Over all, they're not a bad buy but there ARE two things you need to be aware of:

1. These are "canalphones." I know many people prefer having in-the-earcanal headphones these days but I don't. In fact, I now know I HATE canalphones. I hear myself breath and chew. So if you're an asthmatic cow and don't want to be seen wearing studio monitor type headphones in public, sacrifice a little audio quality and opt for earbud style headphones instead.

2. This "premium" multimedia headset is only as good as the device it's connected to. Apparently, my Curve 8320 isn't quite the portable audio device I thought it was. I wasn't very impressed with the "superior sound quality" when attached to my blackberry but my Sony MDR-V900s didn't fare much better. Attach these blackberry premiums to my ipod and they're almost decent. Bang & Olufsen they aren't but for the price, they're not bad.

I do hope the higher end Blackberry lines have better audio capabilities otherwise I don't see the need for this product. My rating is based strictly on the product itself and not my personal preferences or my preconceived notions about my blackberry device.
