Memory Card Reader - usb card reader, card reader

Having been a Windows PC user for most of my adult life, when I got my first MacBook I didn't know what to do without a card slot for transferring my photos! This was so inexpensive that I was extremely skeptical, but it works perfectly. Plug it in, instantly the Mac recognizes there are photos on the card and iPhoto pops up, and everything I want to transfer is super easy to select and move. It give me the option to delete or keep the photos on the card after copying them to my hard drive.

It actually feels a little flimsy so I feel compelled to be a bit careful with it, but it seems to be working great and not so fragile. Even got knocked around a bit in my carry-on during my last trip and still works like a charm. Dynex DX-CR6N1 - Card reader - 6 in 1 ( MS, MMC, SD, MS Duo, xD, MS PRO Duo, miniSD, RS-MMC, microSD, MMCmicro, SDHC, MS Micro, microSDHC, Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo ) - Hi-Speed USB

This Dynex DX-CR6N1 - Card reader - 6 in 1 ( MS, MMC, S... is a very good product to have especially for the different card selections that are out there these days, also the price was what that made me seal the deal for this product,I couldn`t find a better price any where in town.

It fits a memory card from a camera that doesn't work anymore, and I needed to retrieve the information quickly. Very quick, finds the memory card right away and it comes with software. The good and bad, it has security for removing files. Great; However, I can't get the software to load on Windows 7 properly. You need to have the software installed to delete whats on the memory card, and every time I load the software it says no hardware found. Maybe a 64bit issue but once I get it to work i'll post back.

I just purchased this product and it works exactly as described. It's small, compact, and has a rubber cover over the slots to keep it clean. However, I purchased it at Best Buy for $20, half the cost of what it's currently selling for on Amazon. - Card Reader - Usb Card Reader - Recommend

Motorola Charger - charger, motorola

As an earlier review noted, plug in this charger and nothing happens. My RAZR doesn't even see it. I ordered two; neither would charge my phone. (One of them rattled; something loose inside.) Contrary to what another review said, this charger is *not* the same as the one that came with my phone; though similar, it is not the same, and it has a different model number (see the label on the charger itself). I also ordered a car charger but I'm not going to risk using it on my phone. Did I return these items? No, I just threw them away, because at these prices, with shipping and handling both ways *not* refunded, I'd probably lose even more money returning them. (Too bad we can't give a "0 star" rating.) Motorola Mini USB Wall Charger for Motorola Phones

Considering the price is about $20 below what you'd pay at Best Buy or Circuit City, you really can't go wrong with this charger. It is also much smaller than the version that came with the Razr, which makes it great for travel, or in my particular case less bulky allowing it to easily plug into a surge protector next to chargers/plugs for other devices. This charger also works on my Blackberry - one less thing to have to deal with.

This charger worked for about a month before it just went dead. It was a replacement for the OEM charger that lasted almost five years. I just plug my cell phone into my laptop for recharging now, using a USB cord. It's more reliable than the charger, and costs me nothing which, coincidentally, is what this charger is also worth.

I bought this for charging my Motorola RAZR while at work and it does not work. I plug it in and the phone registers that the charger is attached but hours later my phone is still not charged. When I use the charger that came with my phone it charges the phone in less than two hours so I know there is something wrong with this one. I personally am very unhappy with this purchase and cannot recommend it.

UPDATE: I ordered a travel charger directly from my cell phone company and, while it looks exactly like the one I ordered via Amazon, it performs 100% better - it charges my phone in about 90 minutes. So I now know for sure that this one is defective. 85 cents might sound appealing, but if it ends up in the landfill then it's nothing but junk.

Motorola Mini USB Travel Charger for the T305 Bluetooth Speaker

If the Motorola T305 Bluetooth speaker has any problems, it that it only comes with a 12 volt charger for your car and doesn't come with a 120 VAC charger so you can charge it overnight in the house. This charger solves the problem nicely.

I bought this adapter as well as a car charger before I read all of the reviews. I also noticed the Motorola Genuine Product Guide and thought, 'nah, I should be safe; all of this stuff is available on Amazon.' It wasn't until AFTER I placed my order for both of them before I realized that some of the sellers were selling knock-offs. I received both products today and after comparing them to the product guide I can gladly say they are both genuine! I couldn't believe that I was able to get this for so cheap! Never again will I buy from my cell company first; thanks Amazon and thanks AccessoryOne!

I first ordered this because it was cheap. Now I know why. The first time I ordered, the charger never came. I contact the seller and they did send another one out, which didn't work. Not worth the hassle. Just get a charger from a reliable company. - Motorola - Cell Phone - Charger - Motorola Charger

It fits my NookColor perfectly. Very nice termination and the materials look of good quality. It is very light and fits well in a small purse. Will search for other colors to change according to seasons.

I am very happy I got this product through Amazon and not through any local and expensive vendor. JAVOedge Cherry Blossom Book Case for the Barnes & Noble Nook Color (Twilight Purple) - Latest Generation

This cover looks just like it is pictured. It fits my wife's Nook Color well, and she says it seems to be durable. She likes that it isn't as heavy as the leather cover I have on my Nook, yet still seems to protect well. The only drawback is that there is a pen holder along the inside spine of the cover, and if there is not a pen in the holder, the front cover tends to fold too far across the front of the Nook Color. It seems strange to have a pen holder for an e-book reader, but there it is. It's an easy "problem" to solve...she actually just keeps a pen and a memo pad in her Nook cover.

This book case is really great. And what I like most about it is it does not get dirty or scratched like the black cases out there. My friend has a black case and it looks destroyed. This case is material and holds up.

I love this case, it is beautiful, high quality and really well made. I covers my nook well and protects it great. I absolutely love this case it is the best case by far I have seen. I have looked at a lot of cases and I am so glad I got this one. - Flip Style

Ipad 2 Smart Cover - ipad 2 accessories, ipad 2 smart cover

great looking and very slim, you can barley feel there is something there on your ipad 2.

Protect the sides without going over the edge, and it clips to the ipad 2 perfectly and securly

and best of all it has this nice soft touch that has a grip so you can hold the ipad with one hand securly without worrying that it will slip from you hand.

and the price including the shipping is cheaper than smart feather by incipio, witch Is $35 and the incipio model will keep the smart cover attached in a way that if you need to remover the smart cover to play games in landscap mode like I do, than you have to remove the back cover so you can remove the smart cover, while in the greatshield model you can attach and remove the smart cover with ease without removing the Back cover, witch is perfect at least for me

the buttons are exposed perfectly, and the smart cover when closed is perfectly covering the screen, one thing though, it can't be open easly except from the volume button area because it has no edge there. but it is not a big problem

one thing is different than the pictures available above is that the speaker area is actually covered in grill and not completly exposed like in the 1st picture (one customer added a picture with the true grill and that's how it exactly looked) but it doesn't reduce or change the speakers experiance at all, as i'm typing this review while listening to classical music as crisp as usual :-)

Oh and one more thing, the top also is changed from completly exposed area to an openning for the power button and for the aux input and the mic.

this cover makes the ipad handling experiance much more pleasant to the hand, and it does not have any sharp edges that makes it painfull to hold like the ipad 1 original cover that was made by Apple

worth the price and protect your ipad 2 in a great way, and regarding scratch proof, well, I can't judge now, maybe in few months after handling it in different situation I might update the review to tell you about it.

until then I Recommend this cover because I've looked for a good cover in a lot of different places and this seems to be the best in quality and price wise. GreatShield Smart Cover Buddy Snap On Slim-Fit Case for Apple iPad 2 - Silky Satin Black

I purchased two iPads and ordered only one of theses cases to see if we would like. Needless to say, I just placed an order for the second one. It complements the Apple Smart Cover very nicely, particularly the leather model since this case has a silky satin feel to it that allows you to get a good grip. I am not sure how resistant it is to scratches, but it seems a lot better in this respect than a clear case that we were looking at.

If you already have an apple magnetic cover, this completes the deal. It snaps on the back instantly (instructions neither included nor needed), stays on well, and should protect the back from scratches and reasonable impacts just fine. It has a very nice satin-y feel, much nicer than one would expect at the low price.

This case is awesome! I just got it today and it is exactly what it was looking for. Its is very low profile, has a soft feather feel to it and does not get in the way of the Smart Cover in anyway. Perfect for anyone that does not want a bulky case. - Ipad 2 Accessories - Ipad 2 Smart Cover - Ipad 2 Smart Cover Enhancer - Ipad2 Case

Microphone - sound card, audio

This review will be sparse as my recall of the events surrounding the install of this sound card are few. I remember, vaguely, opening the packaging and maybe four seconds of pondering if I should install the driver cd (did it come with a cd?) before the movie I had playing started coming out of my speakers. Setup was 1-step, plug in (on Windows XP Home).

It has a microphone and a headphone/speaker port on front, is probably 3-4 inches long (does stick out a ways from the computer). I'm able to yank (yes, yank) headphones from it without pulling it out of the usb port (barely, just keep in mind).

I wanted something that was cheap and simple, this fits the bill. It came with a small usb extension (less thank 6 inches if I recall) and a cap (now in the trash). Sound quality is as good as original sound card (vostro 200 factory default) that I fried. StarTech.com USB 2.0 To Audio Adapter

At the time of my writing, there are only 2 other reviews; one who's worked perfectly and loved it and one who's didn't and hated it. I would have hesitated, therefore, to buy this for myself, but had seen a majority of very positive reviews for this product on Newegg (Amazon offered free super saver shipping when purchasing with another item, so I saved over $6 using Amazon!). Mine arrived, plugged in, works 100% and quality is perfect (complete silence when no audio is being played, as opposed to my built-in motherboard audio which was always static filled). No drivers needed, Windows 7 saw it and installed it. Excellent for Skype. Nothing else to say, a great product.

When the sound on my laptop suddenly quit, I envisioned many $ to investigate and repair it. On a whim I Googled "USB audio" and up popped this item. It was the least expensive of a half-dozen or so similar items so I chose it, figuring that if it didn't do the job I wouldn't be out much. It arrived promptly and I plugged it into a USB slot, plugged my speakers into one of the two outlets and ...instant sound - and of high quality. I'm very pleased with it.

I use this little device when I want to use my headphones late at night to edit music recordings I make. I have had no problems at all with this little device. Just plug it into any usb port and plug in a set of headphones BEFORE you open an application that will play a sound. That way it becomes the default device that application will use. Use your systems volume control to control the sound.

Purchased from Antonline through Amazon, it did not work first time. Antonline refused to take back, their reason was I damaged the "package when opening to get the item out!! Also I downloaded the driver when it did not work to try and correct things, this was another reason they refused to replace. If and only if I could send the item back in perfect packaging so they could re-sell to some other unsuspecting person would they agree to replace it. What a rip-off, I asked them how a person could open the package without ANY damage and try to use the product. It came with a disc, but if you use it, they won't let you return the product. So why even send a disc?? Complete piece of JUNK from a craphole seller. Amazon did honor their warranty so I did get my money back, but the seller is at fault 100%

This adapter is the first external sound adapter I bought so I cannot say how good it is compared to other similar products. But my experience is OK. It's working well for windows7(though you have to struggle setting it up). You have to install one driver for each USB port. It doesn't work for linux, at least my distro(Ubunto 11), unfortunately. The sound quality is... better than nothing. So in general. When you need to buy a adapter, usually you have no choice, right?

Unlike cheaply made adapters from China, this adapter works flawlessly from the moment you plug it in to your PC. It also has a very sturdy case, which can take a beating without breaking open like other cheap competitors.

This usb audio adapter works great on my Macbook pro. I needed an interface to be able to use a microphone headset that has too low of mic input signal to work with the mac's audio in port. I just plugged this into the mac, plugged the headset into the interface and it was working. Sound quality is excellent and very quiet when no sound is coming from the computer.

I give this 5 stars with a caveat attached: Use the included short extension cable to prevent undo force on the port on the laptop and to keep from blocking any other ports as this is fairly wide.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for an external sound card.

This ones very easy to use, just plugged in. I heard some noise at back ground and the sound is not stereo. The length of the entrance is too short to be plugged into the USB port. Not very impressive with it. - Sound Card - External Sound Card - Audio - Microphone

Multifunction Printer - ink jet printer cartridges, ink cartridge

I use these in a Canon IP5200. It creates great quality pictures, but does have a few limitations. Anyone thinking of buying an inkjet printer, should always check the price of the ink! A great deal on a printer can quickly turn into a money hole. It has been my experience that these cartridges, while less expensive than other brands, do not yield as many prints as advertised.

These cartridges also have the computer chip built into the tank, which I have had a few issues with. On more than one occasion, the printer stopped recognizing the cartridge and would constantly give errors that the cartridge was missing or empty. In both cases, I contacted Canon and they sent me out a replacement at no charge, so kudos to Canon for that.

Amazon is without a doubt the cheapest and easiest place to get these. Add the savings from the low commitment 'Subscribe and Save' program and no other retailer even comes close. Canon CLI-8 3 Pack C/M/Y Value Pack (0621B016)

With free shipping, Amazon definitely has the best deal on these CLI-8 inks. The 3 pack is especially useful, since the 4 pack comes with photo black, which I seem to never use. I have 6 blacks still which I purchased before the 3 packs were introduced.

I don't know why it's so hard to find this product in the stores, but I haven't found it anywhere except at Amazon. Other than that, it's required by the Canon printer we use (which is a good one and I really like it) and I'm glad Amazon carries it.

I own a Canon MP530 printer. It is by far the best printer I have ever had but buying ink for it locally is sometimes confusing and expensive. With the free shipping buying the CLI-8 ink from Amazon.com is generally both cheaper and much easier. Plus Amazon carries the colors in different package arrangements so I can get the colors I actually need. Why shop anywhere else?

This ink looked fine as printed in my Canon MP610 Pixma, and buying the 3-pack saved us a few dollars, but either the cartridges and/or the printer are very inefficient -- we don't print much in color, and yet the cartridge runs out in what seems like a month or so. It just seems like a built-in inefficient system to bleed us of money.

I am very satisfied with this product.

In addition, the service from Amazon is quite excellent! If a wrong product is shipped, they make it very easy to return...I received my shipment quickly. Their customer service via e-mail or telephone has been very very good and courteous. Their products are less expensive, I am very satisfied as a customer, and would recommend Amazon to any one.

Received my Canon Ink a few weeks ago. Thanks a lot. Great prices. As a matter of fact lower than most office supply stores like Staples, Office Depot, etc. I'll keep buying from you guys until I get a newer printer.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 - super mario galaxy 2, mario

My daughter was 5-years old when we first played the original Super Mario Galaxy. She would constantly corner me every day so that we could play it over and over, and after we beat it, over and over again. In fact, I have beaten the original game a total of 10 times with my daughter as my trusty side-kick at the player 2 spot, grabbing stars, freezing bad guys, or shooting the occasional bad guy or gold dot to get me a much needed coin.

So imagine our delight when we heard on Amazon.com last June that Super Mario Galaxy 2 was available for pre-order...without a confirmed date, of course, but ready for pre-order nonetheless.

Does Super Mario Galaxy 2 hold up? Does it still manage to capture the heart of a 7-year old girl and her father? The answer is a resounding YES.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 completely operates in its own right by being a stand-alone story. The only nod to the previous Galaxy comes in the form of Rosalina who will appear if you have significant difficulty with a level so that she can actually show you how to pass a level (at the cost of getting a bronze, NOT gold star). Back to the story (or the little of it that there is, a la most Mario games), Princess Peach has been kidnapped by a GIGANTIC Bowser (surprise!). Naturally, Mario is going to rescue her with the help of star power from master luma (star-like creatures with the capability to transform).

Who is there to help Mario this time? Well, this time Luigi is a playable character later on, as opposed to the original Galaxy which forced you to take the torturous path of collecting all 120 stars before unlocking him. Yoshi is on board as well, your trusty steed who can eat red-hot peppers to move quickly and cross water no less, or become a blimp full of hot air, or glow to reveal hidden paths.

The biggest change for us as a father-daughter team is that Player 2 has more to do now. Player 2 is actually an orange luma who follows Mario around. Now, Player 2 (in addition to freezing enemies and grabbing stars) can actually spin as well to knock enemies to the ground or grab coins from remote places by flying over to them quickly and then bringing them back to Mario. Also, making Player 2 an actual, tangible entity in the game (as opposed to a mysterious P2 star that has no discernible presence) makes it even more fun for my daughter who gets caught up in the action because the game itself is usually too hard for her as Player 1. She will actually say things like, "Daddy, you get the one on the right, I'll get the one on the left." It's extremely hard to pry her away from it when it's time for a story and bed.

Has the gameplay changed much? Well, no, the same mechanics are there. It's interesting that the game starts off as a 2D sidescrolling event that leads into somewhat a 3D perspective until it's a full-blown 3D adventure. It's a subtle, baby-step transition and, as an IGN reviewer put it, it pays off in getting those unfamiliar with the original to get into the action.

Despite having the same mechanics of jumping and spinning, Mario has some new powerups. Cloud Mario can create little tufts of clouds to hop up. Rock Mario has our hero turning into a solidified boulder to roll around (and even "bowl" to hilarious effect). Drill Mario allows our hero to drill through to inaccessible areas. And, of course, there's Yoshi who is able to eat his enemies and use a couple of funny power-ups of his own as previously mentioned. Bee Mario, Fire Mario, Spring Mario, etc., make their return.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is smooth, polished and shows the time-dedicated love and attention that was bestowed upon it during its 3-year absence. It takes the best parts of the original and makes them better while taking away what didn't work the first time. They have wisely included more for player 2 to do while acknowledging that Mario is still, front and center, the star of the show. The music is even more fully orchestrated than before. The attention to detail is phenomenal and showcases Nintendo's desire to never compromise by releasing a product too quickly without undergoing the rigorous quality control that this game clearly had.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a delight for children and even a delight for me as a 37-year old father. This is my "daughter and me" time, when we share a fun family night (Mommy likes to watch ;D), night-after-night and it is my modern-day Monopoly. Cheers to Nintendo for taking a winning formula, keeping it more than alive, and breathing fresh ideas into this franchise.

So what are you waiting for? Purchase the game...this is one of the flagship titles, and deservedly so. Super Mario Galaxy 2

Super Mario Galaxy was an astounding achievement in video game design back in 2007, and to this day it remains an excellent and thoroughly enjoyable 3-D platformer. In fact, Galaxy was so good that when I heard that a direct sequel would be coming a mere 2 ½ years later, I had my doubts as to how the game would be a worthy successor without simply rehashing everything that made the first game so great. But while Galaxy 2 is great for almost all the same reasons as the first game was, it still stands out from its predecessor in many ways and stakes its claim as one of the greatest video games ever made.

Galaxy 2's plot is no more or less recycled and predictable as the story from the first game. It's not as though anyone can watch the opening cutscene and think, "Why is that giant turtle thing trying to kidnap the princess?!?" There are no surprises here, except perhaps the fact that this time around, Bowser is absolutely huge. But the beauty of it all is that it shows that Nintendo knows that they don't need an amazing story to make an amazing game. While it might have been nice to see something different, it's hard to ignore the fact that even if Galaxy 2 had a marvelous plot, the rest of the game's strengths would still overwhelmingly overshadow it.

Even in the midst of watching the same exact story kick off again, though, Galaxy 2 immediately states its intentions by starting off with a sidescrolling stage. Yes, Galaxy 2 is indeed a 3-D Mario game, but perhaps its greatest strength is in how it blends together the linearity and very format of many 2-D Mario titles with the open worlds of 3-D Mario games. Most of the galaxies are in full 3-D, but there is a surprising number of sidescrolling stages as well. These 2-D sections aren't just great because they resemble 2-D Mario, but what makes them stand out is how well all of Galaxy's elements translate to a 2-D format. It all works so well that it makes the 2-D areas simply fantastic.

Both the 2-D and 3-D levels alike feature phenomenal level design. The Galaxy team has produced over 50 galaxies for this game, almost all of which manage to bring something new to the table as far as design goes. There are a few new power-ups, including Rock Mario, which allows Mario to roll around at high speeds, and Cloud Mario, which gives Mario the ability to generate cloud platforms underneath himself in the air. These, coupled with most of the power-ups from the first game, offer plenty of creative design features that manage to twist the proven Galaxy formula of planet hopping and gravity-based puzzles in fresh, exciting ways.

But perhaps the most significant addition to Galaxy 2 is Yoshi. In past Mario games, Yoshi's playable appearances have always been in 2-D games, and his playtime is usually disappointingly brief. Galaxy 2, though, puts the creative opportunities that Yoshi presents to use in more ways than ever before. Yoshi can swing on floating flowers and eat enemies, and that's all good fun, but the best thing about Yoshi is that he can also get power-ups from special fruits. A red pepper will make him run at exhilarating speed, a shiny yellow fruit will make him glow and reveal invisible floors and platforms, and a yellow berry will make him float like a balloon. None of this may sound all that original but these power-ups aren't great merely because of the concept they present, but how they are put to use and how the level design forces players to get creative with how to utilize these abilities, and that is what makes Galaxy 2's level design shine.

As I mentioned earlier, Galaxy 2 hosts over 50 galaxies, which is loads more than its predecessor. There is a bit of a trade-off though, in that the galaxies have a maximum of three stars each. Most galaxies offer one main mission and two prankster comet challenges, which are unlocked by finding the comet medal in the galaxy. Those who favor the sprawling open worlds of previous 3-D Mario titles might not view this trade-off as a good thing as it makes the levels more linear, but in my opinion it is a positive change as it opened up a lot more opportunities for the game developers to make more levels and let their ingenuity shine. And this change also reflects the idea that Galaxy 2 is more in the format of a 2-D Mario game than the traditional style of the 3-D titles, and the linearity of the levels reflects the style of the 2-D games. It all works together to make a 3-D Mario title as much like a 2-D Mario game without making it entirely in 2-D; I think it's an clever and profitable touch to an excellent game.

Galaxy 2 has made significant improvements in longevity as well. In the first game, collecting all 120 stars allowed completionists to play through the game a second time as Luigi. Galaxy 2 throws this out the window, though, by making Luigi playable at random points in the game and permanently unlocked after Bowser is defeated for the last time. And once the 120th power star is collected, 120 green stars appear dispersed throughout the game's galaxies, doubling the number of stars in each galaxy and thereby doubling the number of stars in the game. These are not mission-based, though; finding the green stars is basically a massive scavenger hunt, as they are hidden within each level. The green star quest substantially extends the game's length and forces players to utilize every last inch of Mario or Luigi's jumping heights, and the best part is that players are often required to get creative with the level design and figure out how to outsmart it. It's quite challenging at times, but still very entertaining.

From a technical standpoint Galaxy 2 is still the Wii's finest. The animation is sharp and vibrant, transforming the TV screen into a constant visual treat. The frame rate is smooth as can be, and everything is simply a pleasure to look at. The graphics are essentially the same as in the first game, but there really wasn't much, if anything, that needed improvement to begin with. The game also shines with its sound, with great sound effects that are true to the theme and franchise, and even better yet, the soundtrack is simply phenomenal. It does an even better job than the first Galaxy score in bringing classic Mario tunes to life in new ways while also adding in plenty of new themes. It all sounds simply fantastic, mixing the old with the new just as the rest of the game so masterfully does.

So what's wrong with Galaxy 2? Is there a single flaw? I could definitely say that it's slightly disappointing that all three Bowser battles are essentially the same thing. I could also say that the final galaxy, the Grandmaster Galaxy, was too hard to be much fun and didn't feature any new creative twists. And yes, the story is the same old Bowser kidnaps Peach narrative we've watched over and over again. But to count those things against the game as major flaws would be extremely nitpicky. Yes, these ever so slight shortcomings are there, but they are so insignificant compared to the rest of the game's quality that it's hard to even consider them as detracting from the overall experience.

So no, Galaxy 2 isn't perfect. But since when has any game achieved perfection? God alone is perfect; nothing humans make can ever be truly perfect. But it's for games like Super Mario Galaxy 2 that "perfect" scores exist: games that are so excellent and so well crafted that they deserve top honors among their peers. And so that is why this game receives a 10 out of 10 from me. Not because it's perfect, but because it's as good as games get. So is Galaxy 2 perfect? No. Is it one of the greatest games ever to hit consoles? Why yes, I'm glad you asked. Now I highly recommend that you go pick up a copy and enjoy it for the excellent piece of entertainment it is.

Positive:

+ Fantastic blend of the best of 2-D and 3-D Mario

+ Phenomenal level design still twists the Galaxy formula

+ Yoshi adds a surprising amount of fun to the game

+ 242 stars makes a massive and expansive game

+ Graphics are every bit as good as before

+ Even better soundtrack

Negative:

- Those few slight shortcomings I mentioned
