Battery Charger Aa Or Aaa - electronics

I've used Kodak's 1850mAh NiMH batteries for about a year in my Olympus C-4000, and they're fantastic. I can get hundreds of (daylight) shots, or several weeks of intermittent use, before needing to recharge. With its higher capacity, the 2100mAh battery should be even better. These high capacity NiMH batteries work great in frequent use/high drain devices, such as cameras, flashlights, PDA's, CD players, toys, etc. Unlike NiCads, they don't contain the toxic heavy metal cadmium. They aren't subject to any significant "memory effect," so they don't need to be discharged fully before recharging. They will outperform both NiCads and throwaway alkaline batteries in high drain devices, and can be recharged more than 500 times. Their only disadvantage is that they self-discharge over time, losing 1-2% of their capacity per day. Alkaline batteries are still the best bet for low drain devices such as clocks and remote controls. With the appropriate adapters, such as those sold by Star Batteries, you can even use your NiMH AA's in your C and D cell flashlights! For best results, charge these in a charger designed for NiMH batteries. For longest battery life use a smart charger that protects against both overcharging and overheating, and signals when charging is complete. These batteries are green in color, not red as shown. They are made by Sanyo in Japan & are of excellent quality. They last really long. Get only the Kodak Charger & NOT other brand, i had the bad experience in mixing battery & charger from diff brands. Now, i got more of these & use them in toys, kitchen electrics etc. etc. Got some Kodak AAA as well & each charge lasts 3 months or so in my wireless mouse.

I am very pleased with this product in that it performs as advertised. I am using these in a Kodak digital camera and have recharged them several times in the past month. When fully charged they last as long as a non-rechargeable and have already paid for themselves.

Product was originally shipped with package opened and 2 batteries missing. Amazon immediately replaced the item when notified with no hassle.

I purchased these batteries so I would always have a back up of charged batteries for events I wanted to catch on film, however, the batteries were not the ones that work with the charger I had. I am not going to buy another charger just to charge these up, because I already have the longer time charger. So I'm stuck with a brand new package that hasn't been opened, and can't return because I waited too long to return them to Amazon.

Perhaps it is just the difference between 2100mAH vs 2300mAH, but these Kodak batteries do not work near as well as my Energizers in cameras that use 2 batteries.

In my Z990, which uses 4 batteries, they work pretty well.

I've always been happy with Kodak products. They are always superior quality and last for a long time. I'm sure the batteries will be the same.... They work great now and keep a charge longer than the ones I bought from the store. So all is good.

We bought these 3 years ago, and they were great while they lasted. Alas, today they no longer hold a charge. (So much for the urban myth of holding a charge for 1,000 times). Anyway, they were ok for 3 years, and now off to get Sony batteries & charger for $15.00. We are disappointed, however, that the charge lasted only approx 36 times (once/month). 36 <> 1000.

I have both these Kodak Green rechargeables and Sanyo Eneloops. These green ones have been giving me a lot of trouble. So far I cannot run a simple wall clock (one AA) or an electronic lock (four AA), they both work fine with the Eneloops and standard alkaline. I tried refreshing the Kodaks on my La Crosse charger but that has not helped.

So AVOID the Kodak Green rechargeables (this one). I have heard that the Kodak White ones are fine (relabeled GP Recykos). Or just get Eneloops. - Electronics
