Garmin 305 - garmin 305, heart rate monitor
Click here for more information I like this thing quite a lot. I've had it for about three weeks, and have used it on 12 workouts so far. I use it primarily for running, with biking a secondary usage. The main reason I wanted it was for the instantaneous readout of distance, running pace and heart rate, the latter needed for the speed work I want to do this running season.
The core functionality (distance and heart rate monitoring) works perfectly. There's none of the signal drops I've had with other heart monitors. Once the satellites are initially acquired, I've only had one dropout when I was outside. The initial acquisition of the satellites can be quirky and can take some time. The accuracy (according to the readout) is +/- 25ft, depending on how many satellites can be found. I've compared the distance measurement on the GPS with a known, measured distance on one of the trails I run on (the Chicago lakefront path). The GPS always increments a mile when I'm within 5 or 10 feet of the mile marker sign on the path. Well, I guess that's the least I should expect from a $350 GPS unit! Of course it's bigger than a normal running stopwatch, but that hasn't bothered me at all. The heart rate strap is also very comfortable and well-designed.
The display is crisp and has one outstanding feature: The information presented on the various pages can be completely user-customized. The default screen layout is rather poor, but in just a few steps I could replace it with the information I wanted to see while I run. There are almost 40 different data fields you can choose from for display. Examples: current pace, average lap pace, average run pace, heartrate, distance.
The only disappointment is the point-in-time (instantaneous) pace measurement: It varies wildly during a run. I see swings as big as +/- 3 minutes/mile. I'm a marathoner and I know my pace is fairly consistent during a run. I just looked at my run today, and according to the data the first mile varied from 5:57/mile to 12:06 mile. I suspect the problem is either in the averaging algorithm (too short a distance?), or in the uncertainty that results from different satellites coming in and out of view. The variations seem to get worse under tree cover compared with an open area. Luckily there's a lap-average pace that can be presented, and at least that value is useful and more accurate. The bottom line is that you can't look at the watch and say "right now I'm running 9 mins/mile". There is the ability to specify a pace smoothing factor, but I have it maxed out and still see the variations. The elevation readout also seems inaccurate, but that isn't important to me.
Upload of workout data to the PC software (Training Center) is transparent. The PC software is very good for presenting time/distance/pace/heartrate/calorie data. However the maps it shows are very crude. I've worked a bit with one of the online, subscription services (MotionBased). That looks really good and provides some additional functionality beyond the included Training Center software, although I still haven't decided if it's worth the $$$ yet for long-term data storage. MotionBased allows export to Google Earth, and it's tremendously cool to see your running path superimposed on a satellite image. You can recharge the unit through the USB port on your computer, although it's slower than using the dedicated recharger.
I had hoped that owning this device would prove motivational for me, and indeed it has. I can't imagine running or biking without it. Updating my training log is trivial now: Plug this thing into my computer, and it's done. My hope is that a future software update will do something about the pace calculation (maybe a few additional levels of smoothing?). If so, the Forerunner 305 would earn 5 stars+++.
Positives:
Flawless heart rate sampling
Great distance measuring and lap-average pace calculation
Seamless integration with a PC
Fully-automatic training log update
User-customizable display
Negatives;
Wildly-varying pace readout. Garmin Forerunner 305 GPS Receiver With Heart Rate Monitor
With a few one-star reviews, I was a bit hesitant to order this. Now, after two weeks of use (10 runs of 2 to 2.5 miles each), I have no regrets with the purchase whatsoever.
I haven't had any of the problems reported by any of the one-star reviewers. It syncs to the satellite in a reasonable* amount of time, seems to track my pace very well, tracks distance well, and the heart rate monitor seems WAY more accurate than the dedicated exercise machines at my local gym.
*by reasonable, it does take a minute or two to sync to the satellites each time. That's the only thing I could possibly think of improving, but it's not a big deal. Being the super-impatient person I am, I often turn on the watch, set it on my front porch, go back in and change into my running outfit, and by the time I come back out it's ready to go.
I haven't seen the pacing issues others have reported. I'm a beginning runner... but if I keep a solid pace... it reports about 10mins/mile... if I push a little harder... about 9mins/mile... if I let up... about 11mins/mile. It seems very consistent over my entire 2-2.5 mile run.
I have a 2.1 mile run where I've done the same exact route about 6 times... and when I compare the maps of each run... they overlap almost exactly.
I have thyroid and heart issues, and this watch gives me the confidence to know I'm not exceeding my max hr for too long (I can easily get into the 180's) and gives me the feedback and stats to keep me motivated.
Last but not least, I've bought dozens and dozens of items from Amazon over the years, and this is the first review I've taken the time to write - hope that gives you an indication of how happy I am with this product. ;-) - Gps - Heart Rate Monitor - Garmin 305 - Garmin

Holster - thunderbolt, seidio
Click here for more information I was pretty much forced to buy this case because I am going on vacation and there wasn't much else to choose from besides silicone bumper like cases with no real carrying solution. It is a nice case but definitely NOT worth the $50 I paid. It offers some protection (more than a silicone bumper) but I doubt it would protect the phone like an Otterbox or Kraken would. Unfortunately, I am sure those cases won't be available for a 1-3 months. There is no screen protection at all unless you have it in the holster so you will still need a protective film of some type.
If you can't wait and are in absolute immediate need of a case with a holster style carrying solution and you can't find anything else this will definitely work. But if you can I recommend you wait for an Otterbox or Kraken case to become available. I am sure the price point will be the same and you'll get more for your money. Seidio SURFACE Case and Holster Combo for use with HTC ThunderBolt (Black)
The case itself is good enough. It's shaped like a silcone case protecting the back and sides but it's a hard plastic. The case is very smooth making it difficult to hold a large phone like the thunderbolt. I ended up taking some sandpaper to rough it up to make the phone easier to hold. The biggest problem I have with it is the price, this thing is way to expensive. When I ordered it I thought there would be more to it to justify the price but there isn't anything special about it. This should be selling around the $20 price point.
I received my Seidio surface case w/ holster a day earlier than expected. So far this case is actually better than I thought it would be!! It gives a clean professional look, and can be worn with a suit and tie without standing out. It does give some protection, but I still wouldn't want to drop my phone!!! I purchased this to hold me over until the new Ballistic case was available. I still plan on getting the other case, but this one will will definitely get it's use!!
After about a month of use, this case seems to be holding up fine. It's a bit expensive, although, when you consider that it's a slip-on case as well as a separate belt holster/clip, it seems more cost effective. I like the screen facing in when the phone is in the holster, as it gives me some peace of mind against accidental damage, and provides some protection against accidental activation/dialing and privacy breeches. The clips (both the belt clip and the one that secure the phone) seem to be well made and holding up fine. My only gripe is that I wish the slip-case on the phone had a slightly more tactile/rubbery feel to it, a la the Body Glove type cases. The cover is slightly too slippery and at times makes holding the phone a bit like trying to cling to that bar of soap in the shower. Other than that, so far, so good.
When I initially received the case it seemed very nice. No more than 2-3 days later i noticed the outer covering of the case was beginning to peel. I have had it for about 3 weeks now, and it has became progressively worse. I expected much better given how this case is so overpriced! Will be returning this to merchant!
This is the 4th Seidio case I have purchased and I have loved them all. One did crack when I dropped the phone, but it protected the phone from damage.
I've tried to find cheaper alternatives in the past, but I always come back to the Innocase. I recommend it to everyone I know.
They fit the Thunderbolt securely, have a great feel in the hand, where I am confidant that it won't slip and the colors are great (bought 2).
I would definitely buy again for whatever my next device will be.
I had just bought the HTC Thunderbolt online and needed a holster and case for it. I was hoping to find one for it like the hard shell and holster that I had for my BlackBerry Tour, so I went into a Verizon Shop and asked if there was anything available of that type. The clerk told me that since the phone had just come out the day before, nothing had been developed for it yet, he said "Hell, I don't even have any spare batteries for the phone.
I came home and checked on Amazon and found "Seidio Innocase II Surface Case and Holster Combo for use with HTC ThunderBolt" and purchased it and an additional battery for the phone along with some clear screen protectors.
The entire order arrived within 3 days and when I opened the box up, it wasn't the extract same item, although it was close, but, much easier to use. I have been using all three items since that day and I am delighted with my purchase. If you buy the case, get the battery package combined with it. These Thunderbolts are AWESOME PHONES!! My upload and download and speed has been clocked at over 10MB each and I think but wouldn't swear to it that there might be more useful free apps for the Android then the iPhone and Blackberry combined. Anytime I think I need an app for something, I just go to the Marketplace and find one usually right out of the gate! I am thrilled with this phone, but getting to the original point, the only downside is the they suck batteries down faster than my 6 year old daughter sucks down a Vanilla Milkshake at Mickey D's so I always carry a fully charged Seidio Innocell 1600mAh Slim Extended-Life Battery. I'm not really sure that has an extended life, but, having that extra battery sure has saved my butt when I needed it saved. The battery seems to live up to the promise of providing Extended life and it is slim enough for me to keep in my wallet under needed for more Android time.
The screen protectors are no different than any that I've used in the past, just remember to carefully wet the screen down using a Windex type of product, push out the bubbles, the it dry and your good to go. The screen protectors are cut so that they perfectly cover the screen for the thunderbolt and I think they are a worthy investment.
If you decide to buy the package for about $80.00 to $90.00 it has been a great one to me!!! - Thunderbolt - Seidio

Ipod Speakers - bose, portable
Click here for more information I confess that if Amazon had not offered this bag as a "bundle" with my Bose soun dock, it would have never occurred to me to buy one. As with anything you keep on a tabletop, the sound dock collects dust and keeping it protected eliminates that. Eventually the dust will collect in the grid and surely damage it. The bag is great, sturdy, elegant, and it even has a pocket for the socket attachment. You can store your sound dock anywhere and just pick up the bag and carry it with you (the shoulder strap is an added bonus). I supposed eventually I would have bought a bag to keep the dock from getting scratched or damaged; it didn't have to be a Bose bag, but it's simply ELEGANT. Bose® Travel Bag for the SoundDock® Portable Digital Music System (Black)
This is obviously made to fit the Bose Sounddock Portable like a glove. It even has a perfect sized compartment for the charger and a little extra room on top of the speaker to put remote, iPod, Belkin Mini Surge Protector (great portable surge protector) and an extra battery if you buy one.
Nice quality (think a step above the CaseLogic leatherish CD cases).
Look, it's expensive for a bag, I know. But you probably just spent $400 on your portable Bose for the purpose of TRANSPORTING it places, so you'll need it.
It's really slickly designed, everything fits just perfect. And it looks nice. I've brought with me to the park, and it makes a perfect carryon for the airplane.
Highly recommended.
This will be long but it can raise bag to a 5-star.
Two major flaws:
1. The center side pocket under the flap is not large enough to hold the spare battery (ref'd in previous comments). It begs the question: Did the bag undergo any Quality Control?
2. The flap closure which uses two small magnets to hold closed is a joke! What QC testing did they do? Keep in mind that the bag will be holding north of $1K in valuables(iPod $400, speakers $400, battery, cables, etc.). I wouldn't trust this bag to securely hold my iPod as I learn through testing (see below).
#############################
Resolution to flaw #1(battery doesn't fit in pocket):
With the flap open, view the 3 pockets on the front. Let's call them (from left to right) pockets #1, #2, and #3.
Pocket #1 is slender and is well sized for the remote.
Pocket #2 (the largest) is obviously intended for the battery but is short by 1/2 inch in width!
Pocket #3 fits the iPod (iPod-Touch in my case) and fits fine though is a bit loose.
I'm hoping a lightbulb is going off in your head... #2 is not wide enough while #3 is a bit too wide.
So that's how I fixed (kludged) the battery issue. Notice the seam between pockets #2 and #3. The sewing is right down the middle centered between pockets #2 and #3. I carefully cut the thread from that seam and then manually sewed it back. But I sewed it approx 3/4 inch closer to pocket #3 rather then right down the middle between both pockets. Voila! Battery now fits snugly into #2 and the iPod is now a bit snugger in #3. (Picture available upon request).
###########################
Resolution of flaw #2: Flap closure.
Its obvious as mentioned in previous users comment(s) that the flap needs a full double-pull zipper rather than two wimpy magnets in the corners. So in the mean time, try this: Get a Velstrap (2in X 36in).
[...]
At first, I strapped it vertically and was quite pleased that the strap would be held centered by the single small loop at top of bag. However, after loading up bag (speakers, power supply, remote, spare battery, iPod, etc.) I gave it the upside down shake test (QC?) and...
BANG!... My iPod was laying on the counter! It had slipped by the flap since the flap was only being supported by strap in the middle of the bag and the iPod was on the right side (pocket #3). The magnets were useless.
Solution... (though it doesn't look nearly as pretty).. is to orient the strap horizontally across the bag. It now holds the flap firmly closed and passes the shake test. If you're a fanatic about your $1K cargo, the Velstrap comes with two per package so you could always run one strap in both directions. But I'm going with the single horizontal strap. That's all that I could get my wife to part with!
The Bose bag I would now consider 5-star. Hopefully Bose get's their QC department involved even though this item has nothing to do with their specialty... SOUND. But hey, that IS their logo on the bag!
Tom
P.S. I totally agree with comments regarding the power supply prongs needing a home but I simply store in same bag with cables.
First of all, the fit/quality/materials are excellent and the fit of the SoundDock itself is perfect. If you have a portable SoundDock, then you really need to buy this case. But there are a number of design problems that would have been so easy to fix: 1) charger "holster" - as others pointed out, you must detach the prongs before it will fit and there's no good place to put the prongs where they will be safe and not subject to loss. Also, the holster is a very tight fit for my charger - I can't close the velcro w/o damaging the strain relief on the plug. Either they have recently redesigned the charger, or I have a quality control problem. 2) outside flap - the magnetic closure is neat, but I would prefer something more secure, especially since the interior pockets do not have flaps - it would be easy for the flap to open and the remote to fall out (or your iPod!). I also think they missed the opportunity to put a zipper on the flap to store documentation for the SoundDock.
I would still buy it again because of the fit and I can put all the accessories, plus my Nano, video iPod, Pelican case, and earphones all inside and the overall size is still fairly small. - Portable - Bose - Case - Bag

Rca To Miniplug Adapter
Click here for more information It's a practical solution to the simplest of problems. But finding a 25' version of this cable is not very easy to find. Being able to place my Sirius radio receiver close to the antennae source and still able to connect it to my AV receiver across the room was the completion of my entertainment center. Cables Unlimited Stereo 3.5mm To 2 RCA Cable (25 feet, Black) AUD-1200-25
A 25ft RCA to mini stereo cable, what's not to like. Finding dependable cables at this price is almost impossible, yet they were dependable. If you're looking for a basic audio connection from a PC/laptop to your TV/Receiver this is what you need. Excellent pricing and shipping.
When I purchased a used 2005 Honda Odyssey, I was disappointed with its lack of support of iPod and mp3 devices, especially after trading in a vehicle with these capabilities for it, but I wasn't about to purchase and install a new system and lose the six-disc changer or screw up the navigation or DVD systems. When I found that there was an auxiliary port in the back of the van for the last row of seats, I quickly found and purchased this. It does what I need it to and I barely even notice the fact that it is plugged in back there instead of in the front.
I bought this so I can hook up my MP3 to my stereo, since most of my favorite music is now digital. I'm thrilled with it. I can be anywhere in the room or even outside and control the MP3 when it's connceted. One of the best things I ever bought!

Energizer
Click here for more information Hey fellow athletes. If you are using one of the new coded Polar WearLink chest straps, it has replaceable batteries. This is the one you want, and not the standard CR 2025, which is much more common. The size is just different enough that the CR 2025 will not work (trust me!).
Battery works well (of course- its a Energizer) and the chest strap is working like a charm again. Plus the two pack given you a spare for the future. They are pricey little buggers though. Energizer 2025BP-2 Lithium Button Cell Battery (2 Pack)
the batteries are not as pictured. In fact, they are not even in a retail packaging. They are old batteries also.. manufactured in 2006.. I am not sure what the shelf-life is for this battery.
There isn't an expiration date on these.
Item arrived fairly quickly.
Item is not packaged like the image shown. I will post pics.
Item does not have printed expiration date even though website description claims an expiration date, which is concerning.
Convenient, cheap, easy to replace, and these seem to last a long time... What more do you want? I needed them for my speaker remote control, and if you have a product that uses this size I would recommend ordering these as soon as possible - when a store sends you an electronic with a battery already in it often they are really bad batteries and will be dead soon anyway.
They're batteries... They work... end of story.
They were the right kind, and they came quickly... the packaging was completely excessive (an envelope would have done instead of an enormous box (relative to the size of its contents)... but nonetheless, they came, they worked, and now so does my projector remote.

Replacement Blades - mower blades, replacement blades
Click here for more information I ordered the "Rotary Max Power 331714S 42 inch Lawn Mower BLADES for AYP/ Poulan? Sears 13149" for $7.49.
When I ordered "BLADES" for a 42 inch mower I expected it would be the 2 blades required for the 42 inch mower. This says "BLADES" but you only get a (singular) blade. I have ordered lawn mower blades in the past and when the item says "Blade" I order 2, knowing that I need more than 1. This should be changed to say "Blade" on this item. I will now have to order another "Blades" to get 2 blades needed - this will cost another shipping charge.
Other than that the product is what I expected in quality. Rotary Max Power 331714S Replacment Blade For AYP/Poulan/Sears 134149 42-Inch Lawn Mower
These blades are priced as a bargain. That is exactly what you will get. They are thin, unmarked for installation...so it would be easy to install them upside down. But, they are pretty much what I expected. A one season blade to be changed out. But, that is not necessarily a negative thing..they are simply worth what I paid for them.
I purchased two of these lawn mower blades based upon the price being the lowest. Having bought lawn mower replacement parts from this dealer before I expected the quality to be good. However, when I got the blades and put them on my mower they would fit loose, these are the star shaped 5 point type. I assumed that my mandrels were likely the cause and so before pulling my deck I went back and ordered new mandrels, housings and pulleys assuming that would correct the issue. When I got the new mandrels I put one of these blades on one right out of the box and found that the blade was loose to it also. Not by much but enough. enough for the blades to wobble and rattle while cutting. I put them on the mower and tightened them down thinking that I could torque them enough for them to spin true, but this did not work. The bottom line is that the price was great, but the product was not worth the price. Had they been good quality blades they would have and should have fit snug. I am very disappointed. I also contacted the seller by email to mention my disatisfaction over a week ago and have gotten no response to date. Pay the extra money and buy your blades elsewhere.
I purchased two of these to replace the mowing blades on my craftsman 42 inch cut mower. They are an exact fit and cost less than oem or other brands. They seem to be pretty durable and for the price you cant go wrong.
They were delivered fast. Initially when I opened the package I thought the blades were dull and I would have to sharpen them, but I installed as is and they cut wonderfully. I will use these guys again when needed.
So much nicer to order this (qty 2 needed for your 42" mower deck) from Amazon and pay a total of $18 (including shipping) and have them sent to your front doorstep, than to pay twice that and get it from Sears or have to pick it up from a Sears outlet. Now, granted, the Sears blades seem to be a little higher quality, but these blades appear to be good quality for the price, and they came sharpened. Pay attention to the blade orientation when you take the existing ones off so you know how to put these on... there are no directions and no indication on the blades. Bottom line: convenient and a good deal to boot. - Mower Blades - Replacement Blades - Craftsman

Ethernet Cables
Click here for more information My son needed a cord to run X-Box Live. After looking at the cords that were specifically indicated for X-Box, I decided to just find a cord that was of the type needed. I found this very long blue cord that works great, and it's half the price of the other "X-Box" cords. Don't waste your money on those other cords. Buy this one. It reaches easily from my son's room to the computer in our office area. RiteAV - Cat5e Network Ethernet Cable - Blue - 50 ft.
Arrived in a timely manner, great price. The only negative I have is the outer casing for the wire is not very durable. Just don't try to close a door over it or it may cut into the casing, silly me...
I bought this for my computer to get the fastest speed possible for my connection to the Internet. I found this works really good for my modem which is 35 feet away. It allows me to watch High Definition Video from Amazon and Netflix and works really well. I will be buying another one when the time is right!!
I needed a ethernet cable for my PS3 after using the 50 foot 35.00 cable i bought at BestBuy for my new computer, because going wireless is ok at best when your playing a multiplayer shooter. I seen the cheap price and that most of the reveiws were pretty good for this cable.
So i decided to try one. The cable works great. My PS3 does not lag at all while playing online. This cable works as good as the 35.00 dollar 50 foot cable that i bought from bestbuy and cost alot less.
The onley 2 things that the more expensive cable has over this cheaper cable is, the more expensive cable has a thicker outer covering,
and the more expensive cables covering is not as stiff.
If you need a cable to connect your game system or computer to your router or modem, give this one a try.
For the price you cant go wrong.
I bought this cable for my dorm room. I was skeptical it wouldn't work since it was such a low price, but it does! I've had no problems with it. Works great, and is flexible to get around tight corners.
Bought this cable for the bargain. It works O.K., but both end tabs snapped off immediately without any pressure being applied. We have a laptop and have to position the computer carefully before using. We lose our connection constantly. Now we have to buy another cable. Needless to say, it won't be this one.

Bose In-ear Headphones - earbuds, headphones
Click here for more information Out of the box, I was not overly satisfied with the sound quality of these headphones. They had a a bit of a crackle during the highs and I was not very fond of it. I began to research "burning in" headphones and came across and great site that has audio clips of white noise, pink noise, and frequency sweeper. I let it loop through my headphones for approx 6 hours and they sound so much better. I haven't heard a crackle yet. This might be all in my head but they definitely sound a lot better. If you are unsatisfied with the quality at first, try and burn with some different sound clips. I used burninwave.com and they have some audio clips on there. As far as the comfort is concerned, they are very comfortable and I can barely tell they are in my ears. Klipsch IMAGE S4-WH In-Ear Enhanced Bass Noise-Isolating Headphone, White
Great phones for the price. I was hesitant to spend the money but I am sure glad I did. One word of caution, if you don't want to hear everything on your recordings don't buy these, get the cheap ones. These phones let you hear everything. Some reviewers have dinged the cord for being small but I find nothing wrong with it. These phones are for adults not kids. Would definitely buy again.
I recently purchased a pair of the Klipsch IMAGE S4s and have been using them for about two weeks now. And I must say I am very impressed by this product.
My previous set of earbuds were made by V-moda and, although I enjoyed them, I felt there was a bit to much bass for my liking. When the V-modas's bit the dust I based my purchase of the Klipsch on the fact that the stereo system in the office where I work has Klipsch speakers and I liked the clean open sound of them. I figured I'd take a chance that the earbuds had that same quality.
The IMAGE S4s seem to me to have a wider soundstage than the V-moda. What I'm hearing more clearly now is the rhythm guitar in some songs and the background instrumentation in others that I'd never heard before. The best part is that the Klipsch buds do not skimp on the bass response. It's there. It's noticeable. And it's clean. I enjoy anything from classical to country to jazz to classic rock and these buds do justice to them all.
My only problem is with the silicone tips. I can't really blame Klipsch because I've never come across a tip that was "really" comfortable. For me the large tips are too big, the small ones too small and the medium ones not real comfortable. I've ordered a set of the Comply Tx-100 tips in the hopes it may be the solution.
Great sound separation with excellent bass response. Great buds for the price!
I can't understand the people hating these headphones, especially over issues with sound. They have a great range with clear highs and good lows and the midtones are also very clean. Overall they will give you great sound reproduction. I have had one issue where the right earbud stopped functioning after 3-4 months, but being that I bought it from Amazon as a dealer was covered under the 2 year Klipsch warranty. So I highly recommend these earbuds, but make sure to buy under Amazon as that is the only dealer Klipsch authorizes for warranty purposes.
I love these Klipsch earphones. They're so comfortable that I get tired of listening to music before my ears get sore. They have great bass and smooth all around sound. I use them on the bus to and from work, and because the plugs block a lot of sound so you don't need to turn it way up to hear it.
I've used them with a Sansa Clip, Zune 8, and Samsung Captivate. I found that I have to keep the EQ on my Sansa Clip pretty flat or I can actually hear the sound clip/distort -- I don't hear this with lesser earphones. The Zune doesn't have an EQ. The EQ on PowerAMP (Android) doesn't clip and sounds great.
My previous earphones were Sennheiser 300 earbuds. I loved them, but the Klipsch sound much better.
I got the white ones because at the time they were $15 cheaper than the black ones.
Easy fit, comfortable wear, nice bass and highs, alittle lacking in mids but they are DURABLE, stay put when when working out and darn it im pissed i bought these for the wife and not myself. I have the ultimate ears super5 pros and have replaced 3 cables and one cracked earbud in 12 months time. I put them away and use these when there available. These little Klipsh badboys have stood up to all the everyday wear and tear, frequent travel and then some without a hickup. You can even wear these while napping or going to bed witout realizing there in your ears. Definelty recommend!!!
The earbuds themselves are fine - but after about 2 months of use, the cable is separating. Exposed copper. I use these like anyone would- shoving them in a pocket, getting tangled. The plastic on the cable is just way too flimsy. I feel like I wasted my money, because the cable is falling apart and won't even sustain stereo.
For this price and brand, I expected more.
Klipsch has been around for years, so you can expect a perfect product in this category. All ear-buds will endure issues if combined with exercise.
Frequencies are broad and cleanly heard through these.
I would guess the best buds on the market for the price.
Thank you Klipsch!
Pros - Great sound. proper bass, very comfortable even after extended use
Cons - the wire seems a bit weak (although I had no issue yet), somehow this ear-bud's wire get tangled more than anything I had before.
The above cons are minor in compare to the amazing sound quality!
I bought these for $69 (price seems to fluctuate on this product) and was skeptical if it would be worth the money. Cheaper headphones can be found for a fraction of the price. I was not happy with my cheap iPhone headphones, and the upgraded headphones from Apple were terrible. A friend of mine recommended these to me. Wow, these things sound great. Great bass, mids, and highs. You really get full sound out of these. I was worried about comfort also, since they stick in your ear pretty deep. Somehow they engineered these to actually be comfortable when wearing for an extended amount of time. - Headphones - Klipsch Image S4 - Klipsch - Earbuds

Click here for more information Everything you read about this item is true. (Except those who say the watch is the wrong direction once its placed in the holder. HELLO, turn the clock face so you can read it by pivoting the display with your two fingers!) It is a great idea but poorly made. There are decorative grooves that are made into the band. Those grooves sort of "dress up" the band. The problem is when you wear this band, the decorative grooves end up against the skin and the flat side ends up on the outside. I think someone in quality control missed this one. Media on the Go Nano 6G Watch Band Black
I got this watch band as a present and the band and what holds the Nano seems to stretch. This does not lend for a very flatering presentation. The overall effect/idea of the product is great and for the price point it's ok.
this is made of the softest material I ever touch, I am not pretty sure how often do you really need to carry the ipod all the time, but it looks nice a fun, it looks durable too. the ipod fits perfectly on it. - Nano Case - Ipod Nano

Sony Dvd Player - progressive scan, sony dvd
Click here for more information I purchased this item so that I could play DVDs from all Regions (particularly Region 2 in PAL format) and it works like a dream. I can now order DVDs of my favorite UK shows from Amazon UK that are (1) at a much less expensive price than what's being asked for the same product in the US or (2) not yet released in the US. It also plays all of my Region 1 formatted DVDs without any problems. I did order an HDMI hook-up with it. I'm delighted that I have it and am stunned that I only had to invest $49 for it. For the reviewer who cannot get the player to work with DVDs from other Regions, maybe it's a defect in your player. Mine works just fine. Panasonic DVD-S48 All Multi-Region PAL/NTSC Progressive Scan DVD Player
Supposedly a region free player, this not only played selectively only a few foreign dvds, rejecting the others as unplayable, it then started rejecting about 80-90% of all the dvds put into it. Unusable.
So, my wife and I watch a HUGE amount of TV in digital format off of USB jump drives. Our last dvd/usb player kicked the bucket after 2 years, so we decided to look for a different brand. I figured Panasonic makes a decent product, and the specs said this would play DIVX files, so we were good, right?
Nope.
The specs say it's multi-region, plays all different kinds of video formats, etc...
Turns out that's not the case. It'll play a dvd, but that's about it. I tried to play every video format I've got on my computer via USB and DVD-R. No dice.
Gonna return it because A) I need something that will play my videos, and B)it doesn't work as claimed in the specs.
Bummer. Guess you do get what ya pay for.
I purchased this item believing (as shown in advertisement) that it was a 'zone free' dvd player. Not so! Despite the fact that the packaging also claims this, more that half of my American release dvd's will not play on this machine. All of my foreign films do play with no problem, but now I have to purchase an 'American' dvd player for my others. A very disappointing purchase.
I bought this player specifically because the item description says it will play MPEG-4 (MPG4) and DivX (AVI) files.
It will not play either of these formats, nor will it play MOV, MPG, or AVI, which are common movie formats.
I see that several others commented on the same problem - not meeting the item description capabilities.
I am returning mine for a refund.
Ok, it was cheap and it works. The best it will do with 'composite connection' (no S-Video or HDMI) is 480p after setting Video to 'Progressive Scan' in setup. I have only one PAL title now and the best I can get on the big screen is letterbox unless I use the zoom control. Audio seems to handle everything. - Sony Dvd - Sony Dvd Player - Upconverting Dvd Player - Progressive Scan

Unlock Cell Phone - t-mobile sidekick, cell phone
Click here for more information Here's what I think. So far I have seen negative reviews but I've had absolutely no problem. It takes getting used to and its great for loyal sidekick users. I for one, LOVE THIS!!! Okay, being a previous Sidekick user for 3 years helps. I find this has great features, a nice sleek design and is lightweight. Motorola Slide was a bit heavier than Samsung Sk 4G. Samsung version has more features. Two cameras, one on the back and one in the front. This is handy if you want to do communicate via webcam such as Skype. Granted this is still new, we have to wait and find the apps that allows this use of feature. But what's the hurry? Moving on. Android apps, gamings and such to while away the boredom. Granted, the battery life is iffy but then again, I've experienced this with Iphones, Itouch and such but its ANDROID! It takes up a lot of battery life, GET OVER IT! Recharging will be required. However I found that the battery drains a lot quicker for some reason and it took me a while to work out the kinks. I discovered that if you adjust the lighting mode helps. As well goes for Background data synch, receive data needs to be TURNED off! Its right under Account & Sync and uncheck that. That helps a lot. Keep it off unless you want to download apps it will ask you to turn it back on. Oh not to forget the screen is larger for easy viewing. I found that popping the screen open is little stiff since it's on a hinge but we can adapt to it. The keys are wider apart for easy typing.
This Sidekick 4G is awesome. No regrets. T-Mobile Sidekick 4G Android Phone, Pearl Magenta (T-Mobile)
I was looking to replace a MyTouch 3g with a modestly priced touch screen phone. That phone turned out to be the Sidekick 4G with its physical keyboard. And as for the Pros, that keyboard ended up being the only major plus. But other minor positives were a responsive touch screen, long battery life, and the Wi-Fi calling.
Here's the NEGATIVES: It's big, it's heavy, it feels slightly cheap, the USB/charging slot cover is annoying to open, the phone charger is extremely cheap, the camera is only 3g with no flash, poorly placed buttons, poor volume control, the Cloud Text feature is a joke, and the screen is virtually unreadable in sunlight.
Let me explain. This heavy and bulky phone will not fit into any cell phone holder your midsized car has to offer. Plus, it leans quite far out of the cup holder. The plastic case and the big buttons give it a cheaper feel. When going to charge the phone, if you don't have a decent fingernail, you'll never get the USB cover open. The charger is so cheap you'd think it was a replacement knock-off. The camera takes decent pics, but using it is a complete pain. First, the physical camera button is placed opposite the power button. So when you go to take a photo, you accidently turn off the phone. And because of the phone's size, you need to use both hands and your other hand tends to get into the camera shot. The loud speaker can be great when needed, but it should be responsive. I've had the volume one notch above vibrate and the email notification was still audible 10 feet away. The touted Cloud Texting was a major selling point for me so I tried it via my iPad 2 - pitiful. The website layout and text functionality was poor. I'd be embarrassed to advertise it. And lastly, I was floored when I walked outside and literally had to find shade in order to vaguely see the icons on the screen.
I've had the phone for 2 days and it's going right back.
I ordered a cell phone from Amazon Wireless. Because I have a PO BOX, i didn't get 2 day shipping, but it's been 2 weeks and I still haven't gotten it. The tracking information says it was delivered by FedEx to my town on May 2, 2011 and it still states that my phone is in transit. If you need your phone in a timely manner, I suggest you order it straight from AT&T, pay the price and wait for the rebate to come. Now I can't make any changes to my account until I get the phone. Yikes, I made a mistake. - T-mobile Sidekick - Cell Phone - Tmobile - Unlock Cell Phone

7-port Usb Hub - powered usb hub, usb hub
Click here for more information This USB hub works. Over the years, I've tried more than a dozen others, from Chinese no-name to Belkin and Griffin hubs with iPod docks and card readers. None of them has worked reliably, and I have ended up using my precious MacBook USB outlets (why only two??) for must-have external hard drives.
This new hub was a success right out of the box. It instantly allowed the MacBook to recognize everything I plugged in, and it has never hesitated, even with four hard drives running (I believe in backup), plus other bits and pieces. I am soooo happy not to have to wonder any more if I have a good connection.
The unit is certainly not the slimmest, if portability is important. Also, with the seven outlets all on one side, it is less convenient than the CablesToGo equivalent, which has four on one side and three on the other. That said, I now have it set up compactly, and can just forget about it.
The construction is solid, so I have no fear of damaging it with lots of replugging. The USB cable has a solid S Type connector (as is often used for printers), rather than the flimsy little camera style plug, which I assume helps performance. It also has a more than adequate power supply.
Of course, it could be that I just got lucky after years of lemons - but I don't think so. This unit is made to be functional, rather than simply looking slick, and it succeeds. Now I can get on with what I want to do, and not worry about those nasty crashes. 7-Port USB 2.0 Hub, Black
I had a Belkin 7 port powered hub and just couldn't get more than three things to be recognized at once. So, off I go to Office Depot and buy another Belkin hub. Exactly the same problem. One day the thought occurs to me that maybe this hub is underpowered. Not a big enough power supply. I don't have any way to test this, but with this hub, all seven devices connect up no problemo and run just fine. Wish the light had come on earlier and I'd bought this first.
This is a quality product. Good materials, well-made; all ports work; the design is attractive and compact; hub stays on desk, no mounting necessary. Very good price, fast shipping. Considerate followup by Cyberguys to boot -- these people know that doing business is about providing value and service (not just 'making money').
This 7 port USB hub has it all. Works for Mac and PC. Just bought my first Mac and the reviews by other buyers mentioned lots of hubs won't work for Mac. Small enough to be unobtrusive and always easily available to use all the time. I have mine attached with velcro in the back of the shelve my keyboard is on, so it is very convenient to access and out of sight. I plug in the USB cables for my camera, a couple of flash drives, my iPod cable, and scanner, so they are always ready to use immediately. And still have room for more!
Cyberguys were all about customer service and it shows, and a great price too. I now go to them and check out what they have first before trying anyone else. 5 stars for Cyberguys and their USB hub.
LMC
I needed a USB hub when my Mac Mini ran out of jacks and finding the ones on the sides of my monitor became a pain in the neck...literally. The unit works fine.
A couple of suggestions for the manufacturer though: The green indicator LED's on the front are a nice touch but pretty useless since they are so faint that you can hardly tell they're on. Second, three of the USB's should be in the BACK of the unit and four in the front (or some configuration like this). Most of my peripherals needing a USB I keep plugged in all the time. Things like my digital camera and GPS don't and are perfect for the front. Permanently plugged-in USB devices on the front makes for an unsightly tangle of cords which I would rather have out of view.
This unit does require an outlet for its transformer...just one more thing gobbling power all the time.
I usually run out of USB ports or it becomes a pain to keep plugging and unplugging wires from the back of the desktop. I chose this device because it comes with an external power source which is necessary if you want to plug an external hard drive to the hub. Without the external power source, it usually will not have enough juice to power up the portable hard drive. I have used all 7 ports at the same time without any issues. Wireless mouse, camera, portable hard drives and flash drives plugged in all at once.
Great price and a great buy. Recommended!!
I've had great results with this unit as others as well, and I've used almost all the ports simultaneously.
MY RECOMMENDATION (connecting any non-powered external USB drive): If you have an external USB drive not showing up, use short mini-USB cables. With longer mini-USB cables, there seems to be enough voltage loss through the cable, that some devices don't get enough power. Search Amazon for the "RiteAV - USB 2.0" 1ft cables.
Whether on this hub or just plugged into my laptop, the three foot cables are too long. With the short cables, EVERYTHING powers up and works!

Garmin Nuvi 775t - gps, garmin
Click here for more information I love this Garmin Nuvi in every way, except one. I have an Iphone, and apparently this type phone has a problem displaying the caller ID when I am receiving a phone call. It always displays "unknown", which is very upsetting since this is my business phone and it is very important that I know with whom I am about to speak. I did not answer important calls before I realized this was a problem. The ID is given in my "missed calls, received calls, and dialed calls", however. This really bothers me, since the only reason I bought this particular modal was for the bluetooth capability. Everything else about the GPS is wonderful, though! The display is very good, and large enough, and the size easily allows me to put it in my purse when I leave my vehicle. GARMIN NUVI 1370T 4.3-INCH WIDESCREEN BLUETOOTH PORTABLE GPS NAVIGATOR - 010-00782-00
I'm familiar with Hand held GPSs but this was my first experience of one intended for vehicles.
It saved my bacon on a number of occasions, very easy to program, directions very clear and concise, with lots of warning.
As an added bonus the voices provide entertainment for a car load of weary travelers. - Garmin Nuvi 1370 - Garmin - Gps - Garmin Nuvi 275t

Compact Camera - digital camera, canon digital camera
Click here for more information In short, this is a great camera in a very small package that produces good results! I wanted a small portable camera with HD video capabilities that I could take with me when I did not want to lug around my DSLR (Canon 40D + lenses) and this little gem fits the bill perfectly.
This camera replaced a Canon PowerShot SD780IS (Black) that I returned due to constant audio noise (hum) while recording video. Rather than risk getting another defective SD780IS with the same issue (many seem to report hearing the noise/hum), I decided to upgrade to the latest Canon PowerShot SD1400IS (Black). I am happy to report that this camera has no such issue with audio when video is being recorded.
The picture quality of the SD780IS and SD1400IS is roughly the same and on par with what one should expect from such a small ultra-portable camera. Going from 12MP to 14MP is a wash as the sensor is the same size and results are very similar. I have posted several shots of flowers under the "customer images" section of the Canon PowerShot SD1400IS 14.1 MP (Black) and also uploaded several 100% crops of each image so pixel peepers can see the detail that this camera produces.
Let me be clear, anyone that thinks this camera is going to produce anything close to the quality of a DSLR is fooling himself or herself. There is no way that this small of a package (3.6 x 0.7 x 2.2 inches ; 4.6 ounces) can produce the same image quality as a DSLR. If image quality if paramount, one would be better off considering the Canon PowerShot S90 10MP Digital Camera, but you will lose the HD video capability, some portability and spend more money. When I want extreme quality, I simply take my Canon 40D + lenses with me and shoot in RAW.
The Auto mode is smart and I think there is more happening behind the scenes than one would expect. If one takes the same image (same ISO settings, lighting, shutter etc.) in Auto and then in Program mode, the results are similar, but I think the Auto mode wins nearly every time. I have no way to confirm this, but the Auto mode seems to have different compression algorithms depending on the subject and can produce a less noisy image at higher ISO than Program mode can. Inside shots are good but I wish I could set an ISO range to force the Auto mode not to exceed 400 ISO.
Tip: If you are getting blurry images, remember that the minimum focal length is much less 5cm when at 28mm and significantly more 50cm when zoomed in to 112mm. So, if you are trying to get the camera close to your subject, be sure to gauge your zoom/subject distances properly otherwise your subject will be out of focus. Perhaps this would have helped the 1 star reviewer.
Final items of note:
1. There is no viewfinder and quite honestly, the small viewfinder on the SD780IS was useless so I do not miss having one. The LCD is bright and works great even on bright days.
2. There is no optical zoom while recording video, only digital zoom, so one has to decide on a zoom length before starting to record. This is a non-issue for me as many people overuse zoom and usually would have been better off just recording a static shot rather than making me dizzy with shaky-cam + zooming at the same time.
Bottom line: This is a fantastic pocket camera capable of decent images with HD video recording as a bonus. It is small enough that it will get taken everywhere enabling capturing of all those special moments. I would highly recommend it to anyone, so long as they realize the limitations inherent to ultra compact cameras. I hope this is review is helpful.
Update: I forgot to mention that one should be sure to get no less than a "Class 4" SD card (Class 6 would be even better) to prevent any video recording issues (missed frames etc.)
Update 2: Still loving this camera after six weeks of use, I particularly like HD video capabilities and use it all the time. The .mov video files make for easy import into Apple iMovie for editing and produces great results. At a recent event, I was able to get some very nice pictures in low light without using a flash in AUTO mode. I was really surprised at the quality achieved in such hard shooting conditions. Best results are had by not zooming too much as there is less light available (f-stop changes when zoomed). If you are noticing blurry shots, try to zoom less and get closer to your subject.
Update 3: I just ran across the recent announcement of the Canon PowerShot SD4000IS (Black) 10MP, it was just released and the list price is currently more than the SD1400IS but the new 10MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor looks very promising for decreasing the noise that is common in sub-compact cameras. The SD4000IS also has HD video capabilities with the addition of stereo sound and can be zoomed while recording video along with a new "Super Slow Motion" video function and a faster f/2.0 lens. It will be interesting to see what users think of this new camera in the coming months. I hope this update is helpful. Seidio
Click here for more information I've owned many case protectors in my days. Seidio cases the majority of the times, because they are the best I have found yet due to material feel, fitment, minimal bulkiness, etc. My past Seidio experiences have been great but have only been on brick style phones. I upgraded to a HTC EVO Sprint which is a slider. The Seidio materials, fitment, and minimal bulkiness are still present in their case for this phone. I could not be happier and will probably always look to Seidio for future phones.
That said, I feel that slider case designs have to compromise the phone's design. If you compare an HTC EVO innocase to a EVO Shift innocase you will see that they are both two parts but it is the way these connect that are different. The EVO innocase will slip together and encapsulate the whole phone. The EVO Shift innocase will cover the top section and the bottom section. The main attachment is done by small resistance tabs. I feel that slider cases are probably more prone to popping off if dropped or struck. I also think that these tabs may lose their "hold" if the case is installed/removed often. KEEP IN MIND this is not a Seidio specific issue...it would affect most slider cases.
This case may be used with the Seidio Ultimate Screen Guard. Which is an excellent guard btw. Please note that the inner edges of the innocase may put pressure on the guard and may wrinkle up. This is not that big of a deal but I would expect that these parts made by Seidio to work flawlessly together. I remedied most of the wrinkles by removing some innocase material from under the edge. So I can not give 5 stars but I am really pleased and would recommend this.
*In case you were curious: Seidio is headquartered in Houston, TX USA. This innocase was made in China. The screen guard is made in Taiwan.* Seidio Innocase Surface Case for HTC EVO Shift 4G (Black)
I really should have read the other reviews before purchasing this case because the front part just does not stay on. In addition to the reviews for the product on Amazon I read several pages of similar reviews on the Android forums. However, it does appear that Seido realizes there is a problem with some of the cases and are working with individuals to return them. Most of the people who complained about having issues with the first case received a replacement which fit much better. I contacted Seido and I am hoping to be able to get a replacement as well which will solve my problems. If the replacement case works I will be sure to post an update.
I just had to return the case. The front piece doesn't work well at all. It kept popping out when sliding out the keyboard. Very annoying.
On the upside (why I gave it 2 stars), the quality and texture is nice. I owned another Seidio case for my previous phone. I love that one, but it's not a 2-pieces design.
Does not work. Difficult to cram onto bottom keyboard half, and then tiny tabs do not keep it on after shutting phone. To be clear, this is not some recurring problem, but NEVER stays on after closing phone. I understand that the design for sliding phones is more complex, but please note: 1.) A design that commonly does not work should not be released, and 2.) The HTC-branded design DOES work.
I was excited when I got it. It felt & looked great. The back part was easy to install & fit perfectly. With the slide open to install the front part of the case, it easily went on. Every single time when I closed the slide out keyboard the front part of the case would pop off. I tried for about an hour to get the case to stay on, then returned it. The front of the case latches on to the top & the bottom of the screen portion of the phone. It works fine until you close it & the latches come off. Just feels to me like they did not design it as well as they could have. If they had put the latches for the top part of the case on the sides as opposed to the top & bottom, I suspect it would have worked better. I returned it to Amazon the same day.
This case is a very nice case, very slim, and it keeps the phone small. However the front part of the case will fit on when the keyboard is open, but when you close your phone it will pop right back off. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.
This case is nicely designed, it just didn't work too well for my particular phone I am guessing just due to how mine was manufactured. The back plate worked fine, but the top of the front plate would not. This was because my phone has little to no gap along the top side of the phone, I can slide a piece of paper doubled up along the other 3 sides but the top is so tight there isn't room for the clips once the phone is closed. I am going to try to find a case with the front clips along the side instead.
What a P.O.S. - the front section of the case doesn't even fit unless you plan to destroy your phone by prying the sliding section from the base so the case's tabs can engage an edge. And what is with that rectangular cut out on the top edge (I dunno maybe its the bottom edge) of front section of the case? W.T.F. is that suppose to fit?
SEIDIO sucked in this case's design - I mean did they even have an EVO Shift to model it from?

Electrical Engineering - graphing calculator, ti-86
Click here for more information I had used a TI-83 for Precalc, but really needed something a little more powerful for Calculus, so I bought an 86. One of my friends has an 89, but many tests that allow graphing calculators still don't allow a TI-89 because they have "algebraic manipulation" capabilities, plus the 86 is cheaper, so I went with that. I have not been disappointed. It has a much cleaner interface than the 83, and the 83's only real advantage, a strong financial and statistics package, can be downloaded to the 86 as an addon. Be warned though if you do that, the Graph Link cable (to the computer) is not cheap. It's a great calculator with a lot of good features. Those looking for more features can easily customize it by programming it, a pretty straightforward process. Texas Instruments TI-86 Graphing Calculator
I bought this around mid 1997 and I'm still using it to this day. It's helped me through AP Calc, Calc II, Calc III, Differential Equations, Advanced Engineering Math, SATs, GREs, Fundamentals of Engineering exam for EIT certification, and etc...I actually bought a TI-89 around soph year of college just to complement the TI-86.You see, the TI-86 is a SOLID engineering calculator. It's got fast units conversions, an intuitive and FAST menu system BUT it lacks "pretty print", handling of units for math (keeps the units throughout equations, calculators), and integration/differentiation with the variables in place (it doesn't just evaluate it). With the right software, the TI-89 is a very powerful math tool.I used the TI-89 primarily for theoretical math but came in handy for standardized tests as well.I would recommend getting both the TI-89 and TI-86 and start familiarizing yourself with both calculators before you start tackling tests. Check the rules and regs for calculators also - standardized tests should allow the use of the 86 and 89.Overall, the TI-86 is a solid math tool - notice I say TOOL because that's what it is. If you have no idea what you're doing in class, the TI-86 won't give you an A.My recommendation is to get both the TI-86 and TI-89. Just FYI, I'm still using the TI-86 at work. The buttons show some wear and I lost the first line of the LCD because I dropped it in college. Nonetheless it's still chugging along. Also, slap in four 750mAH NiMH batteries. You will NOT regret this because these calculators drain alkaline batteries in half a semester of intensive use. We didn't have cheap NiMH batteries back in the day - TI actually pushed the use of Rayovac Renewals (remember those rechargeable alkalines that only lasted 5 charges?) and our other choice was NiCd. Forget all that. Slap in four Energizer 750mAh NiMH batteries and you'll save yourself a LOT of money in the long run. That means more money for video games and other forms of entertainment in college.
If you are involved with heavy mathematical calculations, you will find that there is nothing better to have at your side, than a trusty TI-86. With this extraordinary calculator you can literally do anything from statistical to calculus work, and even work in the sciences. The interface is simple to learn (speaking in a graphing calculator sense), and the manner in which things are done on this calculator is so much easier than on the older TI-85.If you need to know what points are in a function, enter the function into the graph, and select table... Voila! In nice graphical format TI-86 will provide you with an x,y table with all points you select! Its that easy... TI-86 also does an extraordinary job with parametric equations!I have used the TI-85, and actually was looking for one when I bought this calculator. I couldn't find it anywhere, so I took the plunge and picked up a TI-86... After using it for a semester in university math and sciences classes, I will NEVER go back to the 85!
Any high school kid in a higher math, like pre-calc, Algebra 2, and calculus, is urged by teachers to buy a TI-83. The fact of the matter is that the TI-83, even the TI-83 Plus is dated. The TI-86 offers many more advanced features than the 83. For example, a polynomial solver. This is a built in quadratic formula, which can solve polynomial equations to any order, not just 2. Also, Texas Instruments added constants and converstion features which allow you to, if you are in Physics or Chemistry, which I am, to swich from BTU's to Joules, from feet to meters and not have to memorize Avogadro's Number. To top it off, if your teacher uses a constant that isn't built in, you can add it yourself VERY easily. The TI-86 is basically a combination of the 83's abilities and the 85's abilities. I am taking Physics and AP Chemistry and Pre-Calc right now and I can't imagine this classes without the features and ease of operation this calculator has. I also know that when the teacher gives instructions on how to do things on the 83, because that is the calculator most kids have, the procedure is not much different and is easier most of the time. If you need a graphing calculator, buy this one. It is the best buy hands down. - Graphing Calculator - Ti-86 - Electrical Engineering - Engineering

Ipad 2 Silicone Case - ipad2 case, ipad 2 accessories
Click here for more information iPad2 plus this Fosman TPU (which is smoke plastic, you can still see the Apple logo on the back of the iPad) and I can still use the magnets of my Smartcover. They are weaker, for sure, but still I can pull it alongside this cover, and click, it mates right up, and I can shut the Smartcover (SC). The SC does not stay on as tightly as directly on the iPad, but it's not bad. The SC is straight on and everything. I thought I'd have to cut the Fosman, but I don't have to at all: the magnet of the Smartcover works right through the Fosman! And closing the SC still turns off the iPad and everything (thus the Fosman does not block the auto on/off magnetic mechanism, either.
If you use the SC as an easel, like on the SC video, to hold the iPad up, it tends to unclick--the magnets are not quite strong enough to hold the iPad up as easel (and especially in landscape upright support, which I don't suggest anyway because even without a cover and using it as Apple suggests, it won't fall backwards, but it can fall directly and flatly onto the iPAd glass face).
This Fosman fits very well, very tight, no play, and protects all edges. I adisagree that the holes are not right (last reviewer)... the holes on mine are ideal for the iPad2.
I agree with other reviewers, the other accessories are junk. Stylus? Neck cable? Who cares.
I'd pay the less than twenty bucks for this with shipping again. Apple iPad2 2nd Gen Case - Fosmon TPU Skin Case for Apple iPad 2 2nd Generation + Fosmon High Quality Metal Stylus + Neckstrap
I was desperate to get some type of case to cover my new Ipad 2 when I got it. Unfortunately, there were very few covers out; the ones that were were charging too high a premium for what I thought was inelegant design.
I found this on Amazon. I was skeptical at first, but for the price, I was willing to take a chance. It's actually a pretty darn good slim cover for the Ipad. It does have a little heft, but I think it'll do a great job protecting the device from scratches and possibly even slight drops.
Downsides: Does not protect the screen. That little writing pen that they provide I found next to useless (Tried using it with Goodreader app).
Other than that, its great value and if you're looking for something with no frills, this would work quite well.
I guess there isn't a lot of iPad 2 3G users out there, which they wonder why there is a cutout on these cases that they do not find it useful when fitting with their iPad2 Wifi only.
The cutout on the other side of the volume control, is for the Sim Card slot. I am not sure about Verizon's version, but AT&T gives you a sim card so that you can access 3G data. We have these for our sales team and they often need to remove the card to place it in their laptop or vice versa. Some covers cover the cutout which makes it difficult to remove the sim if we ever need to use it.
Overall, great case and simple design. Not for the smart cover but it is not what it is advertise for.
If you're looking for a cover for the back of your iPad2 this will do the trick. Looks nice and fits well. It has an opening for the new back mounted iPad2 camera. It also has an extra square opening that doesn't apply to anything on the iPad2 (maybe that's for the previous version). Adding this protection comes at a price if you have other Apple accessories like the new Smart Cover or the Apple Dock for the iPad2. The magnets on the Smart Cover don't work with this on the back/sides so it doesn't stay on properly. The Apple Dock connector is so close to the plastic backing that just the few extra mil this skin adds is too much... you can't plug it in. Well, I really like that Smart Cover and want to use the dock so I'll be modifying the skin. I intend to use this skin on my iPad2 around the house to keep the back scratch free so if it works with the extra cut outs I need to add I'll be happy. I've got a heavier leather case on order for travel. This item shipped very quickly from Amazon.
Already prevented a few scratches on the perfect brushed aluminum back of my iPad 2. This skin does not work with the iPad 2 magnetic cover as shipped. I carefully cut a strip off the left-side to accomadate the forward and backward movement of the Apple cover. It worked great and I'm very happy.
VERY happy with this case! It fits perfectly and has cutouts for the back camera, side buttons, plugs and speaker. It's very durable and protects the back and sides of my iPad 2 well! Best bang for your buck as this is significantly cheaper than all other cases I've seen.
the case is great, fits good, feels good, nice quality, and even looks good on the white ipad.
but i guess since it was manufactured before the ipadv2 actually came out itbwas made with an extra cutout on one side. therefor theres a whole on the side for no reason. if you look on the picture of the product youll see that on the oposite side of the camera is an extra cutout. but its no big deal, i like the case! and great price. - Ipad2 Case - Ipad 2 Accessories - Ipad 2 Silicone Case - Ipad 2

Hp Calculator - hp calculator, calculator
Click here for more information This calculator is just what I wanted and needed. I have owned top of the line graphing calculators from HP, Casio, Sharp, TI, etc., but overall I like this one almost the best due primarily to its simplicity and ease of use. I like it especially for trips and outside activities when I can do quite useful mathematical explorations that I don't normally have time for at home or in the office with my busy schedule. It was designed by HP and teachers, first and foremost however, as an aid in teaching HIGH SCHOOL students mathematics in a very user-friendly manner.
PROS:
1) It is simple, fairly light and quite fast (75 MHz clock speed), algebraic equation operating system (EOS), but not with HP RPN, but not bad for the money since the hp 39gs units are now on sale for $63.99 compared with $59.99 for the new HP 35s for example which is a great machine, but which is totally outclassed by this much more versatile unit. The hp 39 gs is now about one year in production having replaced the 39G+ with a much better designed keyboard, etc. as described below and has evolved through 3-4 flavors from the original HP 38 of about a decade ago).
2) Very well organized analysis activities using special Aplets with about a dozen available with the unit and many many more on the world wide web (or you can write your own since programming is also available on the 39 gs). These specialized Aplets include analysis of functions, parametric equations, the famous HP solver system, statistics, etc. (with least squares curve fits available for about a dozen types, such as cubic, exponential, power law, logistic or even a user defined type, etc.!). The unit also has about 200 kb of available RAM and about 1 Mb of ROM for the operating system which is a lot more than the more powerful hp 48gII for example.
3) It will supply three types of analysis for every problem, namely a numerical table of values, a graphic plot (only two-dimensional types however) and a symbolic analysis which is only completely possible for the simplest Calculus cases (polynomials and basic trig, logarithmic and hyperbolic functions). Nevertheless, it also does numerical differential and integral Calculus and it can even supply a Taylor series approximation for your functions. It can also display a fine split-screen view (side by side) supplying a table of values as well a plot which is also very useful (with many useful zoom options).
4) It also handles some advanced mathematical functions (including hyperbolics, etc.) and of course can be used to analyze complex numbers, lists and matrices and can even take the square root of negative numbers directly in a very straight forward manner (unlike the HP 35s)!
5) It also allows the user to make detailed notes and sketches and also interfaces very nicely with a PC using the USB cable supplied with the unit for exchanging information. It also has an RS-232 (serial) as well as an infrared transfer option available as well.
6) It comes with a well written and well organized 314 page users manual and with an even more advanced manual available on the supplied CD.
7) It has a new Flash ROM so that the calculator can be electronically updated if new EOS software ROM's are produced by HP without changing out the hardware.
8) Date and time is always available with the on-board clock (using the DISPTIME command)
9) The unit has a totally redesigned keyboard that has quite an excellent feel to it (unlike the fiasco's connected with the HP 49g series for example and even better in my humble opinion than the revered HP 50g now in production for over a year too which I also own). The overall unit seems to be very well made and should last a very long time too. As always, the calculator special self tests are excellent and are triggered by simple keystroke commands. Also, Typing RULES or AMIGOS in "Home" produces two "HP easter eggs" of people who were involved in the design and production of this great system.
10) It has a completely scrollable operations history in HOME (unlimited within the available RAM memory and also easy to erase when extra memory is needed) that is very easy to manipulate by using the Copy command to recall previously evaluated expressions in order to perform quick "what-if" analysis, etc.
11) It is also very intuitive to operate in my opinion even without HP RPN. It is a great start to get students and teachers interested in doing more math and science too which is a very good thing considering recent trends in North America.
CONS
1) The batteries only last 65 hours according to HP. I can't confirm this fact as of yet, but it uses 4 AAA batteries as well as a common Lithium battery to be used as a backup while changing the main batteries.
2) It is quite thick in comparison to other such calculators and in spite of the supplied high quality slide-on cover (a maximum total 1.22 inches thick with the cover on for protection), HP should have supplied a good case for further protection as has been its standard for many other of its calculators (including the HP 35s). Why just imitate the other manufacturers with a slide-on cover for its only protection? HP has always gone its own way in this field considering how few people really understand or actively use RPN logic every day (which I have previously always preferred for many years now). Most of us now have easily accessible computers and compilers to do most computing tasks. I usually use a calculator at work only to carefully check intricate computer calculations, but when I do I want it to be simple and easy to use, especially since I don't use it every day.
3) It will not analyze ordinary differential equations as the more advanced calculators can now readily do. Also, the statistical applet correlation coefficient provided is only for a linear curve fit (regardless of the fit assumed). The relative error is provided instead for both the linear as well as for any of the other curve fit options.
4) Hopefully its sister calculator, the HP 40gs (with a full HP Computer Algebra System-CAS) for UNIVERSITY LEVEL will also be released in North America soon. HP has recently combined efforts (as of early May, 2007) with a company in Oregon to use the 39GS and 40GS for routine laboratory measurements at high schools and at universities in the very near future. Flat Plug
Click here for more information Specs:
* 18 inch cord length
* the plug head is 3/4 inch thick
* 18 AWG cable
Pros:
The quality of the extension cord is good and it does the job I need it to do (push my coffee maker flat against the wall).
Cons:
* The plug head is thicker then I would like it. I seen slimmer designs
* You will not be able to plug two of these extensions plugs in the same wall outlet (if you need to). It will get in the way of the other cord.
If you are willing to spend a little bit more, I would suggest Ziotek ZT1212590 Power Strip Liberator Flat 18-Inch, 5-Pack. With this extension cord you can plug two in one wall outlet, the plug head is slimmer (0.5 vs 0.75 inch), thicker gauge cable, and you get 5 cords instead of just one. Noise Cancelling Headphones - earphones, in-ear
Click here for more information Recently my old Sony In ear headphones stopped working and so I decided it was time to move onto something higher end for use with my Zune. When it comes to sound, I have always preferred the best sound I can get for the money, as I have practiced when picking receivers and speakers for my home theater systems as well.
This is the first product from Klipsch I have bought but I knew of their quality before hand and that is what drew me to this pair. They definitely lived up to their name with these. I'll start out by saying that the headphones have absolutely amazing sound reproduction quality, though it doesn't have the huge bass "punch" in my head like my Sony's did, it is very balanced. Perhaps this is due to the fact I didn't put the headphones under a burn in period yet, so I will update once I have done that. The bass that currently there though is still very good and it compliments the very good mid and high ranges. In comparison, I have tried many other friend's headphones before and this is by far the best ones I have listened to thus far.
Second, the noise isolation is superb, I can barely hear anything when I have them in, so though this is very good in noisy environments, I wouldn't suggest taking strolls around with them in or running alone, otherwise you will not be able to hear anything around you.
Third, these headphones are extremely comfortable, even after prolonged use with them, you still only can tell they are in your ears because the music is playing haha!
Overall these headphones are amazing for the money, I would recommend these to anyone. 5 Stars.
UPDATE 3/9/11
After putting these headphones under a sufficient burn in period, I have noticed a good increase in bass "depth" and punch to my music, which makes these headphones all the better! I have let my friends use these over the past few months as well and they all tell me that they are absolutely blown away by the quality of these headphones. It gives a new meaning to just listening to music, its more like being surrounded by it, or as if you are in the studio while the artist was recording. Klipsch Image S3 Noise-Isolating Earphones with Patented Oval Ear-Tips (Rebel Red)
Before I write something about the produce, a bit about my affiliation with sound. I am a guitarist, have performed on stage for small scale events in my country and hence I have done a lot of sound checks, adjustments on consoles etc. Additionally, I am fond of good quality music. But who isn't, right?
So I was trying to find a substitute to my over the head Sony MDR series phones, as they are too heavy to carry around in streets while walking and besides, in Chicago winter, your head is already covered beneath layer(s) of stuff.
I ordered these after researching for about a couple of months. When I received the package, I was excited. I opened the pack (which seemed at least 10 times bigger than what was required to pack them), and connected it to my Laptop right away.
First reaction: Shi! I waisted my money on this!. In audio terms, great mid, shrill type highs and totally third grade lows, and volume levels were lower than what I was expecting.
But I was still hopeful so I thought I should give some exercise to the Diaphragm of the phones and put them through the Burn-in process, which I did, by playing Bassy music for about an hour and a half (or less).
I tried them again...
Second reaction: Money well spent. The Lows were good, not too loud, but balanced. mids were, as usual, good, but I must confess, I think there is an extra bit of balancing required for the highs, which apparently are a bit more than required.
I am not sure about comfort as the plastic buds may fit different ears differently and one out of three sets should fit properly. Go ahead, take em out an experiment. I am sure you will find a comfortable size. Unless you have uniquely shaped ears.
Overall, I am enjoying my music (the one that I recorded with my acoustic guitar) and I would recommend this for anything less than USD 30.00
4 stars because obviously, there are better earphones out there with far more balanced sound and better quality and I personally don't have enough reasons and of course, money, to buy all of them.
Rest of the things seemed good and I like the pouch, although it doesn't have a lot of utility for me personally. At any given day I would choose better sounding earphones vs nice packaging and a pouch. Thankfully, didn't have to make a choice here. A good for money deal!
Just a personal thought : Try twisting'em inside your ear to know which position gets the best sound delivered. I personally like to place them in my ears in such a way that the wire goes over my ears. I think I can get more quality tone then.
The sound is fine, whatever. It's on par with the similarly priced Sonys. The main thing is that there's a lot of cord noise if you walk or run with it. The flumping will nearly drown out the speakers at normal volume. Not recommended for active use, but great for sitting quietly and not moving.
Overall, i think these headphones are great. they sound great, have good bass, and are very comfortable. one issue i have: the thin cables transmit a lot of noise, say, when they rub against your sweatshirt. My brother has the image S4s. no doubt, the S4s sound better, but he was really surprised for the value i got for half the price. For half the price i'd say i got at least 7/8 the sound. all that's missing is the clarity that the S4s offer. - Earphones - Earbud Headphones - Klipsch Image S4 - In-ear

Dell Streak 7 - dell streak 7, ipad
Click here for more information I bought this tablet after playing with it in a T-mobile store..i also tried the Samsung Galaxy Tab too while i was there. This thing blows the Tab out the water as far as performance goes..but the Tab has better graphics due to it's 1024 by 600 display. But for me it was no brainer to get the Streak.I was going to get the Motorola Xoom but it's priced way too high & seeing as my Streak 7 pretty much has nearly the same specs as the Xoom i just can't see wasting nearly $900 for the Xoom.
The battery life on the Streak 7 is pretty much my only complaint. But i bought a car charger for it however.Other than that this thing is perfect. The screen responds incredibly well.Games like Asphalt 5 look amazing on it!!! The 4g speeds are incredible.I love being able to go anywhere & use this thing.I even got rid of my Archos 70 internet tablet after buying this item.Plus my brand new Ipod touch(4th gen) pretty much collects dust now lol.Apple won't let you view flash based websites..The Streak 7 has no problem loading the full desktop version of Cnn & Espn websites.Plus this tablet will get Honeycomb 3.0 when it comes out thanks to the Tegra 2 dual core processor..There is no tablet that can compete with this one at the moment. :) Dell Streak 7 4G Android Tablet (T-Mobile)
Bought this Tablet a week ago and I absolutely love it. The 4G is wicked fast and I love the portability of it.
Pros:
4G (technically, not 4G, but just as fast)
7-inch screen is actually all you really need. The larger 10-inch tablets aren't exactly portable. If I wanted that, I'd carry my laptop.
Processing speed is fantastic.
Battery Life is great. I use this all day at work, checking email, taking notes and it lasts until I get home. That's better than most phones if you overuse them.
FULL SIZE SD CARD!!!! Wonderful!!! Can view photos quickly directly from my SLR (jpg, not Raw yet that I know of)!!!
Cons:
Not a big fan of the Dell Interface. However, you can replace that in the market for free. Download the ADW launcher to customize it or any other home screen.
Not set up to tether (make as a hot spot for others) yet. This can probably be done using a market app, but you may have to be rooted to do so.
No HDMI out. Not that I'd use it, but it is on others
No USB connectors. Would be kind of nice to simply attach a keyboard if I have a ton of notes to take. Bluetooth works fine though and the keyboard is pretty nice that comes stock on the Streak.
Can't remove the battery (at least that I know of).
All in all, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. The Cons are just nit picked items to make it perfect. I have owned several Android phones so if you are new to Android, this may take you some time to get used to and find all the great apps. Android isn't as intuitive as the iPad, but it is more customizable.
I have been waiting for a good 7 inch Android tablet for months. I own a Samsung Vibrant so I'm no stranger to dealing with Samsung's poor support. Galaxy s tablet was a no go for me. I used the Dell streak battery 7 twice in a t-mobile store and compare it to the Xoom at a Verizon that was just across the street. What I found was...
Pros: Dell Streak 7 (DS7) has a Tegra2 processor in it which future proofs it a bit
Supports 4g if its available
Runs very snappy once the launcher is changed. I recommend ADW or Launcher Pro
Solid build and its "portable" where the Xoom and iPad really aren't.
Supports full sized ad cards
16gbs of internal storage. 1.8gbs for apps, 11.4gbs for general storage
Cons: the DS7 has a poor battery. It can be managed to get 7 or 8 hours with light use, but anything beyond light use and I literally watched the battery drain away over a few hours after a full charge.
Proprietary usb/charging cable is a poor choice. Its far too short and it doesn't allow for charging through usb from a computer. If I'm incorrect about charging from a computer then please tell me how. I never got it to work.
The battery can't be replaced
The screen could be better. Most Android phones are at a 800x480 resolution but at a 7inch form factor the image quality isn't always as good as it should be.The viewing angles aren't the best either but weren't as bad as some reviewers at other websites made it out to be. For instance, my dvd rips still looked pretty good overall but on the other hand, the NookColor has a better screen than the DS7 and its $200 less.
With all of this in mind I'm a bit torn over whether I should keep the DS7 or
return it. I customized it and it runs really well playing back dvd rips and it handled my music well after I installed a superior 3rd party app. Connection speeds were good over 4g when it was available and the price isn't too bad. I guess, I would feel more confident if Dell would confirm a date for a Android 3.0 upgrade or even if the DS7 will receive the upgrade. My unit has even been stable after bombarding it with apps, content and data, really running it down going through apps.
With all things considered the DS7 is good for anyone that is looking for a 7inch tablet that runs good but doesnt have to be the cutting edge. Its a tough sell though, now that the iPad is $399 making the bigger screen seem not so bad. If Dell could have just improved the battery I could more easily forgive the screen. I could tailor the DS7 to suit my needs but I may return it and wait for the G Slate instead.
