Sony BRAVIA KDL 60NX720 Reviews

Especially with KDL60NX720 3D TV screens from Sony are not reflective. Although Sony TVs are the best, but compared to Samsung, Sony lacked a bit of sharpness and black levels in the images. Now Sony has overcome that shadow OptiContrast panel clarity of the images like Samsung black levels. The images processing is amazing, with bright images and great black levels. Black is really black not blue like the old model.

Sony OptiContrast Panel

We have linked regular DVD and Blu-ray to TV and set HD from this image 1080/24P (Blu-ray) vs. 1080/60P (DVD). We test with the launch, the Dark night and Shrek. DVD picture quality with almost the same picture quality Blu-ray. Black levels, texture and freshness of stunning images have been achieved by the OptiContrast panel and the engine X-Reality this awesome 3D TV, but DVD movies are some different.

When we are connected to the DVD player TV in SD normal mode, the TV automatically updated images to HD. We said some doubts on the SD content at first, but the TV came with better SD image processing than earlier versions of Sony TVs.  We do compared to other TV Samsung LED 46D8000, we see that Sony has improved the board image processing. Updates to SD TV content in HD content. It's the best part of this TV. Sony and Samsung have kept some benchmarks (standards) for TV. Sony did not dare to 2010, the reflective screen, the Samsung has surpassed Sony matte finish. With this model, NX720, HX820 and HX929 Sony in reflective screens and reached incredible levels in black and bright images.

Another advantage of this TV is Corning Gorilla glass. At first, when we hit NX720 shield hard with my hand first, the image with flowers, and returned to normal. When we knocked lightly on the Samsung screen with the middle finger, the image seemed wildly and shook a lot, which could break easily. Sony marked notes in the Corning Gorilla Glass TVs. We have ads on the strength of Sony and Corning Gorilla Glass saw, but still be seen in the long run, even if the glass is stronger than the TV. Someone really needs to try to break the TV and see how this screen are.

We tested the sound quality is good. One great thing about Sony offers a 5.1 channel audio output. We have Comcast HD DVR cable connection. HD movies come with 5.1-channel audio, and television offers an exact replica. I tested with/without connecting home theater. Also, the sound is very good without speakers. Another place where the values marked on the opponents of Sony, which provides a 5.1 channel output with an optical audio output. Other TVs only offer two channels of audio via the optical audio output.

The conversion of 2D-3D image is very good. Yet test the functionality Blu-ray, but so far is converting at its best. The original movies in 3D are the best to watch. It seems that Sony angle to the off-vision problems. The 3D effect in the off-angle is better than the TV line-up today. But if you sit in the far corners as the corners and the 3D view seemed a little uncomfortable. 3D TV for all off-angles is a problem.

For the functionality of the Internet. The Internet content is good, but there are fewer applications for Sony as Samsung. Netflix and YouTube video are very good to watch. We do not get the remote control as a QWERTY Samsung, but you can with multimedia applications on the computers of other great iPhone and Android phones.

Do not forget update firmware for this model from Sony support or you can be of the same on TV after connecting the TV to the Internet via Wi-Fi will be updated auto. We do not have test Skype features. It is nice to have, but we still like to use Skype on computer or laptop. In the future, we think the Web Camera is should come with TV space.

Summary: Sony has pretty much done it again. The picture quality is very good. With all the features and built in Internet access, you should be hard to beat at this price.

Ipod Speakers - ipod dock system, ipod dock

Don't buy this player.

Like some other reviews have pointed out this unit can fail suddenly. About about a month of use the speakers suddenly stopped working, no sound would come from a docked iPod or from the aux input port.

A quick search on the net informed me this is a common defect of this unit and customer service is no help.

Customer service (the manufactures, iLive) has not responded to emails. iLive IS208B Stereo Speaker System with iPod Dock (Black)

I bought this for myself to use at work, for my iPod, and was very pleased with the size and how it sounded. I especially liked the style, it's rather cute. Not sure about the EQ button, but the remote is a blast to use. My supervisor even wanted one. It comes with brackets to fit different sizes of iPods. I was quite impressed. It's worth the money.

I bought one of my adult children an expensive Altec Lansing speaker system for his iPod a few months ago and he loves it. I purchased this item for myself thinking I'd be settling for an inferior product because I wasn't willing to spend big bucks on a more sophisticated speaker system. Well, I was WRONG! This little iLive System/Dock packs one heck of a great sound and performs nearly as well as my son's $300+ system. The music is surprisingly crisp and clear and voices bellow from the speakers. You can't go wrong here...don't let the price fool you!

This speaker set is a great value for the price. It can fit really nicely on a bedside table or shelf. It comes with a lot of trays so it can fit almost any iPod, except for the Shuffle and the iPhone, I believe. The back light on the clock is kind of bright, but it dims when not in use. You can also just cover the back of it (where the LEDs show- the brightest part) if it bothers you. In case of a power outage there is a back up battery compartment so the clock doesn't lose the time- but the speakers will not work on batteries. The remote it comes with is quite small and a bit finicky- you have to press a certain part of the button or else it won't work, and it doesn't respond right away, so scrolling through many artists is a bit of a hassle.

This is a great set of speakers for the price, making it a great value.

EDIT -10/31/2010-

As I said above, the speaker system worked great- until now at least. Lately, the volume seems to spontaneously fluctuate (the numerical value of the volume isn't changing, just the volume itself). Furthermore, some of the higher notes in many songs just refuse to play at all. It seems to be certain pitches only, though.

So, for longevity's sake I took off a star, but 2 years life isn't that bad for speakers, I suppose.

Someone else's review said "You get what you pay for," and that is the truth. The player worked great for the first 4 months. After that, I got a low tone buzz out of the speakers and now they hardly work at all. The speakers were never dropped or moved since I first plugged the unit in. Keep your receipt because the warranty is only for 90 days. I will not be buying anything else from this company. I am very disappointed and would not recommend anyone buy anything from this company.

My old iPod dock I used outside in the summer died. I spent quite a bit of time looking for a not to expensive replacement with a remote. Needless to say, they are hard to find.

When I saw this had good ratings and a remote, I bought one right away. I got it today and played it for over two hours straight now and LOVE IT!

Pros:

1. Great price (my old cost me $50-60)

2. Great sound (better than my older, expensive one)

3. Nice design (hey even has a clock!)

4. REMOTE!!!! Which by the way does anything and everything you can imagine - shuffle, skip to a new playlist, repeat, play, pause, turn on/off, play video, volume, etc. etc. (old one skipped songs, and did volume, pause, and mute)

Cons:

1. It's a bit bulky/heavy - my old one was small and light with a built in handle, this has NO handle, so you have to put it in a tote bag to carry it outside, hey no biggy, just be careful.

2. Cannot play it on batteries, you HAVE to plug it in. This means stringing an extension cord out to my deck and rigging it so no one trips over it but eh, not like I have some super duper landscaped yard and deck that a long orange cord is gonna ruin.

3. Can't see the clock really but again, I have a clock on my deck, I have clocks all over my house, not really necessary.

Overall, I give it 5 stars because it has a great sound (did I mention equalizers - cool!), great price, does what I need and I can ignore the minor annoyances. Anyway, it's worth it just for that remote, LOL.

Highly recommend this for someone looking for something decent for around the house or outside and you don't want to spend a fortune. Did I mention, it has a remote?! - Docking Stations - Ipod Dock System - Ipod - Ipod Dock

Portable Fan - mini fan, small fan

Yes, this little puppy really does work as advertised. Just wet the sponge, turn the unit on, and point the air stream at your face.

Ahhhhhh...

The Handy Cooler appears to be well built. The fan is very quiet. You can put the unit on a desk or tabletop, and it will blow a nice stream of cool air at you.

I like the way you can rotate the air head ninety degrees, giving you greater flexibility in positioning the unit. I also like the little water bottle they give you, which holds two "recharges". Yes, they have figured out how much water you can add to keep cool without water dribbling from the unit. They figure you can go from thirty minutes to three hours on a "full" sponge, depending on your environment.

I have told the company that makes the Handy Cooler that they need to introduce a shoulder holster, so you can wear it around and use it hands-free. In the meantime, I am going to see if I can rig up some sort of shoulder sling or something that will suit this purpose.

At any rate, if you hate the heat, the Handy Cooler is the real deal -- cool relief to go. HIGHLY recommended.

My only gripe, as another customer commented, is the high UPS shipping charge. A lower-cost USPS shipping option would be welcome...

And yes, I use NiMH rechargeable batteries, and they last for hours on a charge. Ahhhh... Small Fan & Mini-Air Conditioner: The Original Handy Cooler in blue by Genexus. Genuine version marked with official logo: Handy Cooler. NOTE: To prevent receiving a counterfeit/knock-off, select an authorized seller with care.

I have suffered from allergies for a couple of years now. I can't work in my office unless I took an antihistamine. I saw the great reviews for the handy cooler air cooler and I wanted to give it a try. As it describes, it basically emits humidified air as well as cools the air down. I got the package and it was really easy to set up and use. I brought it work work and placed it on my work desk, plugged it in my laptop for power, and directed the air to my breathing area. It would be too chilly to turn it on full blast, so I set it at 60% power which gives a good balance between the air cooling and air humidifying. Now its been 1 week since I haven't took antihistamine and I can still get through my day. I am not sure if it is to do with the cooler air, or the humidified air - or a bit of both. It does require you to add water into the filter every few hours. So don't be fooled by thinking it doesn't require your attention.

I'm in the Navy, therefore I sleep in a tiny, tiny, often hot space with no air circulation. I ordered this because there is only so much night-sweat and dude-funk one can take in this sort of environment. It just came in the other day, but it appears sufficient to cool a cramped, curtained, coffin-like enclosure! The noise at high-speed is a total non-issue; trust me, the engines drown it out completely. If you're ordering one of these for your sailor, I recommend the pink one. The guys who've seen it all want one, but nobody is going to steal something in pink.

Honestly, I wish it were less expensive, but the build quality is solid enough that I think it'll survive until I get back, and that's really all that counts.

I suffer from Hot Flashes induced by Cancer medications and HRT withdrawals; I found this product to be exactly what I need. I spent a ton of money on small personal fans, all endorsed or made by major retailers like Coleman, Brookstone, Target and many more. I should have invested in this product first. My hot flashes come on about every 45 minutes, 24/7. I have been told by my doctors this can be expected for the next three years. My daughter found the Handy Cooler online and sent me the link. I found the product to be very intriguing, opposed to the pile of personal fans that were cluttering my desktop, end tables, car, purse and trash can. I ordered it immediately.

This little cooler provided immediate relief within seconds of adding batteries and water to the sponge. Now when I start feeling warm I turn on my Handy cooler and the cool air starts flowing. I use it everywhere. It prevents me from turning into a giant mess. I'm on the go and very active indoors and out, this product has been fantastic, for me personally a life and sanity saver. I would recommend this product to anyone. I think it is fairly priced for a personal fan that provides more than a breeze but an actual Cooling effect. Thank you, Handy Cooler.

I don't tolerate heat well at all and when I made plans to attend an all-day outdoor event in Eastern NC a few weeks ago, I knew I had to bring something other than just a sweatband. Stumbled across this on Amazon and decided to give it a try. It is terrific! It fit in my normal-sized fanny pack with an extra set of batteries and the little water bottle, along with a small still camera and a Flip video camera. By midmorning my t-shirt was soaked and I had already wrung out my headband twice, so I found a little shade and fired this guy up. It is just amazing - the fan alone would be great, but the air blowing out of it is genuinely cool! Not like your car A/C blasting on max, but still unbelievable. I ran into several people throughout the day who looked and looked and finally said "what IS that?" and I explained and let them try it. I think I made a few sales. Within 20 minutes I had wrung out my headband and stashed it away for the last time that day.

If you're going to be out and using it consistently all day, load up with new batteries in the morning and take an extra set.

I like this so much that I decided to order a replacement sponge (the one the comes with it advertised to last about a year). They come in a two-pack for $10. I thought that was a little pricey for pieces of sponge, but OK. When I saw that the shipping was an additional $12 for two lightweight slices of sponge, I wrote a nastygram to the manufacturer. They wrote back. They are embarrassed by that and are working to develop an alternative that won't cost so much (UPS is going to charge something to deliver a box, no matter what's in it). I work in IT in an order fulfillment/shipping operation and I know it takes a while to put a system in place, so bear with 'em - they are trying to get the shipping costs down to a reasonable level. And no, I have no interest of any kind in this company! I'm usually pretty cynical but got the impression these folks are trying to get it right.

All that said, this product is worth every dime I paid, shipping included. I would buy again, and I would recommend to a friend. - Small Fan - Cooling - Mini Fan - Personal Fan

Kindle 3 Covers - e-reader, ebook

I was worried about getting this but the case is nice, sturdy and well made and what a great price. I did bling it a bit but that's beause it is sturdy enough to do so.

Had bought a jelly for the kindle but now don't need it. Latest 3rd Generation Kindle 3 E-Book Reader Black PU Leather Case / Cover - by Abacus24-7

While I agree with the rest of the commenters that this little case is both economical and looks pretty good, and does its basic job of holding the kindle, I have to comment on something I haven't seen brought up so far - the overpowering chemical scent!

I know real leather has a scent, but this is not *real* leather, and whatever chemical was used on/in it has forced me to leave my kindle out in the open unprotected, while I put the case out to air (that didnt work), and finally I dunked it in some hot soapy woollite water - it was that bad. Im hoping the bath helped, but I took the risk of ruining it because I dont know where this piece was made, or if the chemical scent I was smelling could eventually cause me or my family harm. I'll see whether or not it is usable in the morning. Im a little disappointed because it really does look good.

*****

UPDATE

I did some research and found that this chemical scent is mentioned when reffering to PU 'leather', it is not really leather and it is prohibited to call it so in some countries overseas. It is said that the scent will fade over time. One thing that I wouldve really appreciated with this item is more information on where it was made and with what materials. NO information came with the case, and if it was made in a country that does not care to use material that isnt dangerous - how would I know that? What kind of quality control does Amazon do for the items featured on its site?

I was surprised to see a leather case for under $6 after shipping, and by the picture, it appears that the case holds the Kindle 3 better than cases with four elastic or leather bands in the corners. When the case arrived, I slipped my Kindle in the top and then frowned--what was to keep it from slipping out the top? I turned the case upside down, and the kindle slipped right out. But I fixed this problem by taping a piece of Velcro to the top of the kindle and the inside top of the case. Now the Kindle is secure, but I think a little bit of foresight on behalf of the designers of this case could have avoided this problem--maybe a leather strap. The case closes shut with a magnetic clasp--I'm not sure if I like this as it can open easily, but then again, if it is packed away, it would probably be fine, and then the convenience of opening it and closing it easily is a bonus. So, for $6 and a small piece of velcro, I'm very pleased to have ordered this case and would recommend it to whoever is reading this review--just get yourself some Velcro ahead of time.

The cases that Amazon offered seemed very expensive to me, so I tried to get some alternatives...

When I got to this product I found it quite nice, but I was a bit unsure about its quality. Then, I received it, and I was really satisfied. The Kindle fits perfectly, seems not to move, and the quality looks fine at least for now.

The Kindle definitely needs a case (otherwise, it's very uncomfortable to carry, and it seems really vulnerable), and this is a great option for a great price!

When I ordered this case, I wasn't expecting much. It was far less expensive than the other leather cases available. The reality is that this case fits my Kindle 3 perfectly. I don't need to remove the Kindle from the case to do anything.

It takes a split-second to open and start reading, which was critical for me since much of my reading is in short periods on public transportation.

The leather feels good in my hands, which I didn't expect at this price point. The stitching doesn't look like it was hand-done at great expense, but given the price point, I can't imagine that there is a better case available.

For the price this is a great cover. The kindle fits well, haven't had it slip out at all. The only drawback may be that the back speakers are a little muffled by the case, but I don't really use them, and I figure any cover will do the same. The kindle on it's own was just too hard to hold and lug around the house, I kept changing pages on accident. I use my kindle all the time for boooks, RSS feeds with Calibre and instapaper. Can't fit it in my back pocket any more with the case but that probably wasn't the smartest thing to do in the first place. Again, for the money this thing fits the bill perfectly.

Firstly, I made my son happy with the purchase of the Kindle just for him. He loves to read. I was amazed at how well he was taking care of his new "toy" but I wanted to make sure that he also had an adequate cover. This case is tight fit. However, you're not intending to remove the Kindle from the case and place it back in multiple times. Everything remains accessible and it still keeps the device looking stylish. Excellent value for the money. - E-reader - Ebook - Ebook Reader - Kindle

LG 47LX65000 Reviews

47LX6500 LG 47-inch LED LCD TV 3D Moreover, our relationship that this series may be available for the best TV picture on the market. For consumers who have waited for LCD/LED technology, would be the point where the benefits of replacing your old set, the disadvantages outweigh develop. The 3D capabilities has by the fence, but we never make the jump without the improvements due to the inherent 2D. The black, contrast and refresh rate offered capabilities of this TV.

This series offers many features in addition to 3D that is not available in older high-end HDTV (Internet connectivity, automatic updates of the firmware, return channel via HDMI, the weight and thin profile, etc. ..). Equally remarkable is that the screen burn any large and dynamic. In addition, this TV is great when set up, not only from carefully selected angles. Sincerely, "Espresso Color" the black look when the sentence is in direct sunlight (not great viewing experience ...) or you shine a flashlight on the fairing.

We spent much time on the different types of programming and tinkering with the settings for images, we offer you the viewing experience of this set. We can not say it better than other types of LED, but the point is that it was there. A picture is worth a thousand words, and it is impossible to articulate all the differences, but this set will not be disappointed when just the top line of the plasma.

However, a lot of technology in the manufacture of LCD/LED series, including these, as well as plasma and be careful with your settings. The most striking difference in the visual experience of this set (and all series 1080p, with a higher refresh rate of 60Hz), out of the box is the softness created by (default) technology associated with defining 1080p true motion. The images are so crisp and clear, that the actors and objects appear. This is great for sports, fast action, animations and games, but it creates a strange feeling when watching movies or watch television show.

The set has a great capacity for processing sound, but speakers can not do everything. It is very easy to connect a sound system to this set that has what we are. If you use HDMI (high-speed cable), connect all the components, you can create a single digital audio cable for this TV to any audio receiver or home theater sound bar and listen to all its components. Television seems perfectly alternating. The audio system is always on TV, but it sets the tone for everything that is connected to the TV via HDMI. This is cool and popular.

Finally, the 3D is really effective. For a long time we felt the advent of 3D TV (and movies) was one thing, and we must say that we know how this TV works well are surprised. The technology is so new, and there is much to see really hard to judge and compare. There is a spirit from time to time, but that seems more with the media as a whole. Some titles are not displayed correctly, but do not really know what to look for defects. 3D is really clear and very effective on this set when viewing 3D Blu-Ray movies with good content.

Summary: This is a 2D Super TV - some things better than our old technology, not so good in others. 3D looks good for us. We recommend this TV, especially at this price with the glasses and Blu-ray Disc provided. If you are seriously dedicated to subtly deep black and are ready to prevent the use of the boundary of the burning television, LG LX6500 TV is a good choice.

Unlocked Cell Phone - cell phone, motorola

I ordered this phone to replace a worn-out Razr that I've had for a few years. I love my Razr; it's the perfect phone for someone who does not need a fancy iPhone, Blackberry, touchscreen, etc. I expected a completely brand new phone, unlocked, direct from the manufacturer.

The phone was locked (it needed a code) and had a "Refurbished" label. T-Mobile and Amazon could not help me so I called Motorola. I provided the MSN and IMEI codes (one-of-a-kind ID numbers assigned in the factory) from the phone, and he said the codes were not in the database, meaning the phone had been sold by a carrier or refurbished.

I asked Amazon for a replacement. The replacement phone did not have a "Refurbished" label and did not ask for an unlock code; I inserted my SIM card and made and received calls. However, the phone has AT&T logos, screensavers, browser links, etc. While it was technically unlocked, it was not what I expected. The next morning, all the keys and buttons stopped working. The phone was a complete dud after less than one day of use.

This time I asked Amazon for a refund. I guess I could ask for a third phone, but I'm sick of this and I found a much better price and warranty on the exact same item at another retailer.

This page does not state that this phone may be refurbished, may have carrier branding, or may be locked. In my experience all of these things were true. Two different customer service representatives told me that every time they send me a replacement, it is from the same batch that Motorola sold them so it may have the same problems as the phone I'm returning.

Bottom line: Amazon admits that, when you order this item, they don't know if you will receive the product described on this page. Motorola RAZR V3 Unlocked Phone with Camera and Video Player--U.S. Version with Warranty (Silver)

I bought this phone in July,2009 and it stopped working in Jan,2010. Phone comes with 1year warranty.

We left message on the phone number provided on warranty card - no one calls back.

Sent email to address provided on warranty card.. email does not get through.

So don't count on warranty as it suggests..

Having used the razr v3 for a month or two at this point, i have no significant complaints. The reception is reasonable, better than the 3 year old Nokia 6822 that my wife uses, but not as good as many other phones of newer makes and models. The phone when first turned on begins in Spanish but automatically switched to English as soon as the network was accessed.

The speakerphone is not worthwhile and is only used when absolutely necessary as there is poor voice quality on the other end and the output sound is scratchy and sounds as though the speaker is blown. Another point of frustration I've experienced with the razr is an increase in the voice echo when speaking with other cell phones, although I'm not certain if the fault is the phones or my current networks' issue.

Overall, I feel like this phone is a reasonable purchase for 100 dollars for an unlocked phone and I'm satisfied with it. In fact, I'm considering purchasing another to upgrade the reception of my wife's service, but not so sold on the value as to make it a no brainer-type decision.

Other functions such as bluetooth, camera, video camera etc. work as expected and provide satisfactory results.

I was expecting this to be a new phone, not branded by any carrier. It came packaged with plastic stickers like a new phone, but looked dirty inside like a used phone would. It shows the AT&T logo on power-up and shut-down, and has "AT&T Mall" apparently permanently installed on the menu. (Which would be okay if I was going to use this with AT&T, but I'm not)

The phone seems to work fine, but it's sure not what I thought I was buying. If I had it to do over again, I'd go for a used one on Craigslist instead.

I bought this phone for my mother, knowing that it was not the newest phone on the market. However, after testing many other phones, my mother who is partially deaf, found the RAZR v3 the easiest for her to hear in both her good ear and with her hearing aid. Also, the speaker phone is exceptionally clear.

I purchased this cell phone from Amazon and it was sold as new. This cell phone purchase was to replace a cherished RAZR that an elderly parent had and absolutely loved. I wanted a new phone and so I purchased it from Amazon LLC and not from one of the hundreds of other sellers on Amazon. The first time my Mom called me it had a loud screeching sound in the background and that never went away. It also wasn't "new" as it had it five quick notes written in Spanish on the phone. Someone at Amazon didn't bother to check these phones or they would have found mine and many others here weren't new but probably refurbished phones. Phone never worked properly and Mom took it into an AT&T store and the rep was nice enough to check it out. He found the phone was defective and advised returning it for a refund which we did. So the lesson I learned was even Amazon doesn't guarantee you a "new" cell phone even if the listing says it's new. - Razr - Unlocked Cell Phone - Motorola - Cell Phone
