Click here for more information I am a stay at home Mom with 4 children. I have been buying diapers for the past almost 11 years and Pampers Baby Dry is hands down the best diaper on the market, and believe me I have tried them all! All of my kids have been "super soakers" when it comes to pee. These diapers way out perform any other brand including major brands and department store brands. The major selling points for me are:

1. They are thin, easy to pack 5 in a diaper bag.

2. Easy to unfold with one hand (if you, like me frequently have to use the other hand to keep baby still)

3. tabs are easily opened without extra unfolding and don't rip off like several other brands.

4. Doesn't leave residue on baby or smell like pee when really soaked.

5. wider in the front to prevent baby from peeing out the side (and my kids are experts at this)



One thing that may be helpful is to remember that Pampers fit better on children that are long and skinny. If your baby is short and really chubby in the bottom, then Huggies will fit your baby better. This, I believe, explains the few complaints about Pampers not fitting or leaking.

I made the huge mistake of buying the baby dry after reading through the reviews. I thought that for the price, why not try them. What a huge mistake! I should have just bought a smaller amount to try them first. Instead we have been using these for over a month now and I have had to clean up a poop spill at least every other day. My baby was 4 months old when we started using these and since she is not eating solids yet, the poop is pretty runny. The baby dry don't absorb the runny poop and it tends to just go right up the back side of the diaper onto her outfit and usually whatever or whoever she is lying on. It's just not worth the money saved! I will only buy the Swaddlers from now on. Hope this helps someone wondering which to buy Swaddlers or Baby Dry, DEFINITELY go with the SWADDLERS!!

It must depend on your child because I tried the cruisers after always using baby dry on my son and they failed us several times. I went right back to baby dry and no more leaks. I have also tried other brands and I loved Huggies for my daughter but they don't work for my son. Funny how each is different. I am a mother of 4 and Luvs worked for my other son. You just go with what works for your child. I also have noticed that they work differently for different ages as well. Good idea to try a few out before you buy the jumbo packs.

Like other reviewers suggested, the size description is wrong. My five month old is about 15 lbs and a perfect size 2, and this size 1-2 is only up to 15 pounds. I'd say it fits up to size 1 1/2 comfortably. Pampers sells a size straight size 2 in smaller packs. Pampers diapers are great; easy to re-strap if you don't do it right the first time. The smell is pleasant, and the design cute sesame street characters. I recommmend, just make sure your baby is just barely out of size 1 to get this size 1-2!

I used to use the more expensive Pampers Cruisers but thought I'd try the Baby-Dry to save some money. I bought a pack at a local store first to make sure the fit and performance was good. I liked them just fine. Nice stretchy tabs, much like the Cruisers. So I ordered from Amazon. I ordered three cases to take advantage of a promotion Amazon was running. But the diapers I received must be old stock, before Pampers put the "flex" stretchy sides on the Baby-Dry diapers. The older expiration dates on the Rewards code confirms this. Maybe they've gotten rid of the old stock; then those newer diapers would rate 4.5 stars. These non-flex diapers barely close to fit my baby whereas the flex ones were plenty big. It irks me that Amazon posts a picture of the "flex" diapers and delivers a different,inferior product.

I love Pamper's Swaddlers. I've tried Huggies and both Pampers brands, and out of all of them Swaddlers are my favorite. That being said, the Baby Dry diapers are terrible. With Swaddlers you can adjust the fit, and the diapers are really soft. Baby Dry diapers feel like they're recycled and and I really dislike the sticky waist straps. They're shorter so you can't adjust the fit as easily, and the waist is always loose--with a boy that's a very bad idea because he tends to get his clothes wet through the TOP of the diaper instead of the sides now. I can't wait until we use these up because I will never buy Baby Dry again.

I have three children in diapers. My oldest is 4 years old and is autistic. We have not been able to potty train him yet.

We tried several brands only to find out that Pampers Baby Dry was always the one we went back to. No question! No leaks! But the cost of our diapers just adds up. Amazon has the absolute cheapest price I have found - in stores or on-line. And free shipping, and I got (...) off with a promotion for baby items over (...) prurchased. I made out! Click here for more information I have just finished my diaper trial period with my 6 week old son. I tried Pampers Swaddler's Dry Max, the old Pampers Swaddler's, Huggies and Up and Up, all in size 1. My son is long and lean. He is breastfed, and has a large BM every 2-3 days. This is important when choosing a diaper. He does not have sensitive skin.



Pamper's - I see little difference in dryness between the new and the old diapers. The old Swaddler's had the wetness indicator, but the new ones are very firm when wet. I prefer this, because I do not need to unbutton his pants to see the wetness indicator, but my husband prefers the stripe. When he has a BM, both old and new Pampers leak around the legs approximately 50% of the time. Neither one leaks urine, but both must be changed every 2 hours or so. I think the Dry Max version is slightly better with urine. They are cut rather large around the legs, which isn't great for his chicken butt.



Up and Up (Target) - Good diaper for the price. My go to diaper when we're home, but I don't entirely trust them when we're out. Again, the diaper is cut large around the leg openings, and leak during a BM about 50% of the time. No wetness indicator on the size 1, but diaper becomes firm when wet. Diapers slightly better than Pampers for urine. Not as soft at Pampers, but the baby doesn't seem to mind. A little difficult to put on. My mother won't use them because she finds them too stiff. Diaper tends to bunch up in the front when it is wet. He looks like he could lose his diaper when he's wet.



Huggies l'il Snugglers - This is my diaper of choice. Diapers are cut trimmer, which is great for a leaner child. If your child is chubby, this diaper is probably not for you. Diapers are soft inside and out - about on par with the new Pampers. Tabs stick well, and do not bunch. Holds in BM 100% of the time, and does not leak urine. Some moms report increased diaper rash with this diaper, but my little man has not had this problem. Diaper is firm when wet. No wetness indicator. Diaper stays put through all the wiggling.



I keep both the Target and the Huggies on hand all the time. I have a large case of Pampers that I'm working my way through. They're fine, but just not the diaper for my little guy. I recommend you buy a few smaller packs and try them all side by side. You may find that a cheaper diaper works better than the brand name ones. The baby will be just as happy, and you'll save yourself some dough.

Edit (12/4/10): When writing the original review, I should have mentioned that Swaddlers did not always have the DryMax technology. This review was based on comparing the DryMax to the original Swaddlers. The original Swaddlers had a color indicator on the front of Size 1 diapers, which was great for new parents - even though the DryMax does poof out when the baby wets the diaper. The original diapers also had a much softer powder scent. We are currently going back and forth between Pampers Cruisers Dry Max Diapers, Size 4, 140-Count and Pampers Baby Dry Diapers, Size 4 (22-37 Lbs), Economy Plus Pack, 176 Diapers (Packaging May Vary) (the kid grew!). I am still not a fan of the odor associated with DryMax (Baby Dry does not have it), but they certainly are thinner. Ultimately, we ask ourselves - do they leak? do they smell weird? does it cause rash? Unfortunately the DryMax seems to always be a yes to the last two questions.



Original review: My husband and I purchased the Swaddlers to use with our newborn (born March 1 of this year) and were quite pleased until they changed to the DryMax. There is no longer a color-indicator for wetness, they smell horrible, and worst of all our son becomes absolutely miserable the moment he wets the diaper. We certainly don't want our child sitting around in a wet diaper, but when you purchase more expensive diapers you expect your child to be comfortable in them.



If they don't at least offer the old version again, we will not continue to use Pampers. It's a shame because it was such a great diaper!

like all the other reviews.. the new dry max is truly worse than before. the true test? i had owned my last bag of the original, soft swaddlers and finally finished them. the first night i started my 4 months old baby in the new dry max swaddlers, he leaked. i thought maybe my son is outgrowing the size or drank too much breastmilk, but he leaked again the next night. once i read other reviews of the leaky diaper, i was convinced it was no coincidence. the new dry max seems to puff up a lot once filled with pee, more than the old ones. and they do leak! i was a pampers loyal customer with my first child and also my second one now.. but i am thinking about switching to another brand of diapers. and yes, old cruisers from 3 years ago use to have the netted lining and they slowly got rid of it and started stocking the new type of diapers with no netting (thinner and smelly) and it does seem like they just slapped on the new name and finally 'officially' rolled out the 'new dry max cruisers.' sooo sad and disappointing. i loved pampers especially for the special netting-liner in the swaddlers and how soft they were. i felt like my babies didn't get diaper rash as easily because that special netting would catch the seedy yellow poop better and not let it rub on their bum-bums as harshly. Click here for more information Pampers have been the only diaper that never leaked with our baby. However, I've been advised by our friends that Costco's Kirkland brand is equally superior, and MUCH cheaper, and have been using them for about one year now. I actually think that they are manufactured by the same company.

After our son was born the hospital used New Born Swaddlers on him and we loved them. They had a yellow stripe on the front that indicated when he had urinated which is sometimes hard to tell with new borns. But the Swaddlers we picked up in the store do not have this stripe, but the number on this site matches the number on the pampers bag the hospital ones came in.

The Dry Max diapers tend to leave the gel beads on my child's skin. I hate Dry Max diapers, so I scour the internet looking for Pampers Diapers without it. Thankfully I found this listing & was so happy with the purchase. The wetness indicator on the diaper helps immensely and they rarely leak.

We think these diapers are the best. Twin boys were just over 5 lbs at birth Huggies NB seemed to leak. We did not Dave any problems with Drymax, in fact, we thought it worked great to keep the boys dry. Many times the diapers were wet and soiled but their bottoms were pretty clean. The stool was trapped on the other side of the mesh.

I bought two boxes of 240 diapers because we were using 16 or more per day. We had a hard time finding enough in local stores. But the boys grew faster than anticipated and we had a few left when it was time for the next size.

Diapers are still not leak proof if the penis isn't tucked down, or if they have a very large bowel movement, but I think that is the case for any diaper

These were my favorite diapers when our son was born. He is four months old now and the swaddler line has been demoted from my first choice to second, behind the Cosco Kirkland brand diapers. The Kirkland brand is amazing and I would highly recommend looking into those if you have the opportunity. If you are looking for the Swaddlers diapers that have the yellow line, look for the boxes that say something about being hospital issue...we found some on Amazon, but it's impossible to find these in the brick and mortar stores...unless you buy Huggies.

I learned that different stores can carry different versions of the same product - if the walmart pampers swaddlers are a lot cheaper than target, for instance, it may be because pampers is making a "cheaper" version for sale at walmart.



These are the diapers used in the hospital when our son was born & actually have the "hospital product" logo on them. The price was definitely better than in a local store, & they arrived very quickly. Signing up for "amazon moms" gave us an additional discount as well. great buying experience - I will continue to buy diapers here.

This is a review comparing the newborn diapers I used for my twin girls. I used over 300 newborn size diapers in 3 weeks and here's what I think of each brand I used.



Pampers swaddlers sensitive: I used these first. I liked the nice green line in the center that tells you when the diaper is wet because for those first few days, baby pee is sometimes too small to see by looking into the diaper. I did find the cut to be a bit awkward for the babies fresh out of the hospital. I had to fold the top of it wouldn't cover their cord



Huggies Pure & Natural: I loved the cut of this. It's pricey but I think it was my favorite despite the fact that I couldn't find any color-change pee indicator so I had to change when it looked like we needed it



Pampers swaddlers: The softness of this was heavenly but I did have a blowout in this. The only blowout in 300



Huggies little snugglers: My least favorite. The color-change-for-pee line is not that sharp for me plus this is the diaper that makes me believe all environmentalists that diapers are full of chemicals. Occasionally I take off the diaper and I see some crystals on babies' tush. Definitely chemical-full and not my favorite.

We had been looking for the same type of diapers that the hospital was using when our baby was just born. We bought some pampers newborn swaddlers at Babies R Us, Target, Walmart, but none was like the one from the hospital until we found these. They delivered a bit late (a week after we ordered) but the product did come in as described on the description and we were happy.



Product is amazing. We used Huggies a couple of times, and our baby keeps leaking with huggies. Pampers managed to keep all dry all the time.

We used these diapers with our first baby after we were given some by the hospital. We were devastated when we couldn't find them for our second. All we could find were the ones with 'dry max'. When my husband found them on Amazon, I freaked out. I know, it's just diapers, but finding a quality diaper is a huge deal!!
