Makes my teeth and mouth feel clean, and the benefits to the gums will be of long-term benefit. Looking forward to my next dentist visit; curious to see how much less plaque I'm going to have and the healthier gums.



Most of all though, using this in the shower makes it really easy to WANT to clean your teeth. I'm not a teeth-cleaning nut, but this thing makes me want to use it -- I can't take a shower w/o using it.



An extra little benefit is that the unit can come in handy as a pressure washer. Good for cleaning the shower and especially in grout areas. I'd recommend getting the 6' unit if you want this capability; also, if your shower is next to the sink, the longer hose can allow you to use the unit there.

This is a fantastic product! You should Google the link between gum disease, heart disease, and diabetes and you will find a mind blowing link. Bacteria enter your body from under your gums and travel through the rest of your system doing all variety of bad things to your internal organs. Who knew!

This product installs easily right at your shower head and serves as a really great way to blast away the plack...much more powerful than an ordinary water pick because you are dealing with water at house pressure.

It tickles a bit at first but you will get used to in in a couple of months. I was able to reduce my 5 millimeter pockets in the back of my mouth to zero in six months.

If you are really tricky and breath through your nose as you clean your gums you can sometimes smell the bacteria being flushed away...yuck.

Trying to maintain dental prophylaxis preventing disease by keeping the teeth and mouth free of food particles and plaque becomes more difficult the older we get. Bruushing and flossing doesn't quite get all of the particles so water jets seem to be a better method.



The sink top water pik versions are problematic; the self contained handheld ones don't have the jet power needed and the tiny reservoir needs to be constantly refilled; the large ones tethered to a tank are bulky and require care to not spray the pik's stream all over the bathroom.



The ShowerPik is ideal. You use it while you shower. Connected to the house water supply, the ShowerPik has all the pressure one needs to really clean teeth. The variable valve is easily installed between the water supply and the shower head letting the user (1)keep showering while diverting water to the Pik, (2)use only the Pik or, (3)turn it off to complete showering. Some experimentation with the valve is needed to find the right pressure for your needs. Warning! Make sure you turn the ShowerPik valve off when you finish the shower.



The ShowerPik is not safe for little children because of the power of the stream and amount of water released.



I highly recommend the ShowerPik for its great utility and very affordable price.

This is one of those products that make me wonder how I ever managed without one. I actually look forward to "showering" my gums with this device at the end of the day. I've never used a standard countertop oral irrigator, so I can't compare them, but one of the great things about the ShowerBreeze is that it gives you great freedom to move the nozzle around in your mouth and explore without worrying about the water flying everywhere. The pressure can be quite strong, which tickles at first, but you will eventually learn how to harness that energy. One caution: I found that spraying behind my rearmost bottom molars for a prolonged period seemed to dislodge or displace part of my gumline, or perhaps it caused (or cured?) an inflammation of the gum. In any case, this resulted in horrible, chronic halitosis until I stopped spraying back there for a week or so. The moral: It's possible to irrigate TOO aggressively with this thing and not even realize it because it feels so good. I use a more indirect approach now, like aiming the jet more at my teeth and letting the spatter irrigate my gumline. My only other complaint is that the whole hose thing is unsightly and looks like something you might find in a retirement home. But it gets the job done.



UPDATE: I loved this product at first (originally 5 stars), but the lever that switches the water flow from the shower head to the irrigator hose wore out after about 18 months because it is made of cheap plastic. This is a major design flaw in my opinion. I recommend buying an H2Oral Irrigator instead, which integrates the switch into handpiece. It is cheaper, easier to use and seems like it will last indefinitely.

Like many people, I find it hard to break bad habits and even harder to form good ones.



Oral irrigation in the shower with ShowerPik is so easy. I like how it feels and since I'm in the shower anyway, it's so easy to use my ShowerPik regularly.

Click here for more information I've been using a Waterpik for several decades now, and while the effectiveness of the product -- excellent for oral irrigation and toughening the gums -- has been consistent, the design and quality of the product have faltered. My first Waterpik, purchased in the early 1970s for sensitive gums on the recommendation of my dentist, lasted far longer than my more recent purchases. Sometimes the motor gives out, and sometimes the hose gives out.



That said, no product lasts forever. But what really annoys me is the design of the current product. First of all, instead of two "picks," Waterpik now gives you one "pick" and a "tongue cleaner." And when you attempt to purchase replacement picks, you must buy them with the tongue cleaner as well. Furthermore, the design of the current model is too big and bulky, not neat and compact as it once was. And lastly, the only way you can close the Waterpik is by removing the pick every time; the top will not fit over the bottom otherwise.



Bottom line: It is still a good product, but it becomes increasingly inconvenient with each new iteration, and I think the market is ripe for the competition.



Update May 2008: This Waterpik finally went the way of all moving devices (the cable from the implement broke), and I purchased the newer "Ultra" model. Many of the inconveniences of the "Personal" model have been eliminated in the Ultra: The Ultra has a much smaller footprint, the jet is positioned better, and it has a top to cover the reservoir when not in use. Even though it is about 50% more in cost, it is worth it to me (despite the blue reservoir, which doesn't match any of my countertop accessories).

I recently purchased this item and am very pleased. I am a person who HATES to floss. After twenty something years of irregular flossing habits, I decided that I needed to do something. I read many reviews about WaterPiks, the Conair model, and a few others. I decided that this would be the best choice.The Good:Provides a very clean feeling.Does not hurt.Easy to use.Attractive.Quality Design.It holds a lot of water.You can mix mouthwash with the water.The Bad:Surprisingly Loud.The coiled tube gets twisted and can be annoying to correct.The "pause" button should be a "go" button.All in all, I am happy with my purchase. I recommend this product.--Note: My mother was a dental hygienist for twenty years. After I purchased this product she informed me that people who overuse waterpiks can cause unwanted damage. Gums form a natural V in between the teeth, and excessive use can cause that tissue to recess. The key word is excessive. Use the product no more than two times a day.

Look at the photo carefully. See the tub up on top where the water goes? It's not attached permanently. It just kind of wobbles up there with a small gasket around the hole in the bottom where the water is fed into the motor. In other words, if you were to remove or bump the tub while it has water in it, it will spill over everything. Also, you can't leave any water in it and place the mouth piece in its holder or set it on your counter for a moment, as it begins to slowly drain water if it's not held higher than the level of the water--a syphoning effect occours.The tube that extends from the unit to the mouthpiece is cheap and way too short (hardly 3 feet) and it's so strongly coiled it ends up hardly being able to reach 2 feet.The motor is very loud and sounds like an old rusty boat motor and shakes itself around my counter. (I learned setting it on a towell helps to immobilize it, and quiet it a bit, which is good because I'll also have a towell ready in case I bump into the tub.)Why then do I use it? Well, because it actually works! Once I mastered the art of using this half-baked contraption, I found my mouth, teeth, and gums are cleaner than ever. The stream of water it puts out is very powerfull and "Piks" up where brushing and flossing leave off. I'd gladly buy a better brand if one existed, but to my knowledge, WaterPik are the only ones making such a machine. I think that explains why WaterPik has cut so many corners making this thing--no competition! No one else wants to make them.

I hesitated before purchasing this, just because of the unsatisfied comments others have made. But let me tell you, I now understand why they all made those comments and can say with conviction, THIS PRODUCT IS GREAT! I also experienced water leakage and no water pumping through. Both are simple fixes.



To prevent the water leaking, PROPERLY and FIRMLY place the reservior onto the unit. Doing so creates a seal and it wont leak. If it does, it wasnt placed on properly. Try it again, you will eventually get the hang of it. I only had 'leaks' the first couple days.



As for it not pumping any water when it is turned on, you just need to read the instructions. It says you need to PRIME it by removing the pic, placing the hose lower than the reservior, setting it to maximum, and turning it on until water runs through. This isnt a one time thing. You need to do this each night you use it; by doing so, it will work fine. If you dont, then water wont pump through until you PRIME it again. It only adds a few seconds to your routine, but nothing to be complaining to the company about.



The unit is a little noisy, but again, not enough to complain about, unless someone is trying to sleep.

Even after flossing I'll get additional food out of my gums and in many cases this is the only device that can remove painful food jammed underneath my gums. The whole thing collapes for traveling, is the only unit I know of that has replaceable batteries,and with new batteries has a very powerful spray. It is also very easy to refill and I liked that the engineers designed the cap to snap on and off instead of breaking off. I bought one and liked it so much I'm buying one as a gift for other people.

This is the newer version and I found it to be better than the older version (Panasonic EW1270AC Portable Oral Irrigator). It has 2 instead of 1 speed setting and the tip has a better design. Happy with it. :)

I have used this product for a little over a month now and so far I have been completely satisfied with it. It's easy to use and has ample power to get rid of food particles that cannot be removed with a toothbrush. It is also good for flushing out food particles that get caught in gum pockets.



I mix my own concoction of warm water and mouth wash even though the instructions say to use just water. My mouth feels totally refreshed and that's what I am looking for in an oral irrigator. I have always owned a Waterpik which is also a good product however I like the fact that this product uses plain batteries which eliminates the need for a charging adapter and it also collapses for easy storage. I am glad that I made the decision to give this product a try.

I bought this intending to use rechargeable AAs with it, but the instruction booklet says not to because of possible corrosion. This was a disappointment for me and I may try rechargeables anyway.



It seems to work pretty well and low speed is a nice option for dispensing ACT or other mouthwash to the gum line and between teeth (working quickly-note the instructions suggest only water and always emptying the unit after use). The on/off switch is extremely stiff though. On high speed it is much less powerful than a standard waterpick but still effective.

wow, with 2 AA batteries, the oral irrigator pumped out apretty strong jet of water and that was at the lower of the two speeds! I heard that this was better than flossing and I tried it and it sure could push out all the little bits of whatever between the teeth! I was surprised how much stuff! However, learn to keep your finger near the switch button since the water will squirt all over you once you move the mouth piece away from your mouth! The base is quite large -not appropriate for kids



I sometimes mix the water with listerine to do two jobs in one! I am really happy with it and so will my dentist!

I've been using a Braun-Oral B stationary water pick since 1999 and I'm totally satisfied with it. Unfortunately it was recently broken down after so many years of service. I wanted to buy it again, but the model was discontinued, perhaps because it was so durable and they couldn't make a good sale out of it. After reading many reviews, I decided to buy this Panasonic portable water pick, keeping in mind that it has a disadvantage of being 'bulky', especially for my kids. I don't mind this, because I've already ordered a WaterPick WP100 for them, as they are now a bit more grown up and stay on a different floor in our house.



The product arrived on time in a thorough packaging, though I believe the high quality of its plastic would not require such a thoroughness. Being prepared to see a bulky thing, I was not very surprised with its modest size when it was in the package. It was just 6.5 inches high. However, I admit that when I expanded it for use, I said "wow". It became ~1.5 times higher, which is 8.5 inches. I'm now sure that my 8-year-old son wouldn't love holding it in his hand. However, it should be OK for my daughter, who is only 6.3 feet height, because it is just right with me, who is not too much higher (I'm an Asian guy of medium size).



What I'm surprised most with this product is that its pulsated stream of water was just of the right size and power, the same like of the Braun-Oral B I used before. The only difference is that with Braun-Oral B I had the ability to adjust the power step-less. However, I always had to watch the dial to stay at the right low and high points that I later found other family members of mine also use. With Panasonic, the water is just right for normal cleaning when I turn it on, at the first speed. At the second speed, it is also just right for clearing of more 'stubborn' debris. I can imagine how much research had the Panasonic engineers done to find out this point. Still, this is not everything. I must say that every detail of this product shows its quality and rationality. The pick is turnable so that you can adjust it at your right angle, but it sits tight enough to not rotate spontaneously. The hose inside the tank made the unit usable at any angle. The power switch and battery lid are very well water-proof. The lid of the tank is also very good. Once I rush to meetings and just throw the unit in my drawer without discharging redundant water. In the car, I realized that there were some important paper together with it, and I rushed back just to find out that nothing happened. There was no water leaking.



All in one, this portable water pick is paying off for its value of money. I would recommend it not only for travel, but also for use at home. Click here for more information At the ripe old age of 54, I have braces. The Orthodontist recommended oral irrigation as superior to laborious flossing around the braces.



Being a guy prone to do a lot of research prior to purchasing anything, I did the whole research thing and found that all oral irrigation machines, no matter from what company (WaterPik, ViaJet, Interplak, whomever) all have lots of negative reviews. It seems they are all prone to leaking, breaking, tipping over and a host of other issues.



That being the case, I decided to start at the low end of the pricing scale and see if the cheaper machine with pretty good ratings would work for me. So I bought the Conair Interplak WJ64.



Yes it is cheesy feeling...very cheap in its construction. It is also very light weight, particularly the base. When attempting to remove the reservoir, the base usually comes up off the counter right along with the reservoir so it takes two hands to remove it...one hand holding the base, the other grabbing and lifting the reservoir. This is not that big of a deal, but it is indicative of the lightness of the unit.



The reservoir is just the right size for a single rinsing of the mouth but the small size does make the overall "footprint" of the unit small too. That is a good thing as it does not take up a lot of space on the bathroom counter.



As for the tip holders on the unit...forget it. The tips easily fall out ending up on the counter/floor. Stash the un-used tips in a drawer and save yourself the daily frustration. I only use the standard tip and suspect most people would do the same. For my usage, the other tips don't serve much purpose as I also use an electric toothbrush and don't need to use the other tips.



The pressure from this machine is totally sufficient. I have settled on a pressure setting in the mid-range of the possible settings and at that setting the stream is quite strong. No issues with pressure (or lack of) for me.



I do not like the "on/off" button on the handle... it is really cheeesy feeling and I'm just waiting for it to break. It hasn't yet, but then again, I've only been using the machine for two weeks.



For the price I paid, nearly half the cost of other oral irrigation machines, I'm quite happy so far. It does have a 2 year warranty which I consider generous. So if it breaks, the warranty should cover it. If it doesn't break in two years then it'll be one heck of a value because I like its performance in spite of the limitations I've already mentioned.



I was going to by a Waterpik initially, but after reading so many complaints about how the quality of them has gone downhill, I decided to try this one first. I'm happy with my decision. I will update my review if anything changes my opinion such as breakage or leaking.



I was tempted to give only 3 stars because of the "cheesy" factor, but am going out on a limb and awarding 4 stars since the performance of the machine has been more than adequate so far and the price is excellent.



UPDATE: April 29, 2009

I've been using the Interplak Water Jet daily for 8 months. It has not leaked or broken down. Still going strong and I'd have to say it has certainly paid for itself at this point. My dentist is happy with the health of my gums and says I couldn't be doing a better job keeping things clean. That's good enough for me. I had to take a trip a few weeks ago and was without my water jet, and I really missed it. It's a great and reasonably priced device.





UPDATE: December 8, 2009

Well, it's going on 18 months and the Interplak is still performing flawlessly. There has been no issues with this little thing at all. It has proven to be a fantastic bargain given it's performance. If you are looking for what is possibly the best value in oral irrigation machines, I'd have to say that this is the winner.



UPDATE: Nov 14, 2010

After 2 years of braces, I'm happy to say they are finally off my teeth as of about 3 weeks ago. I'm still using the Interplak Dental Water Jet and it's still chugging away. I do have one developing issue with it however. Several months ago I started noticing a small amount of water underneath the unit after usage. At first I thought it was just some water dripping because of spillage of the water reservoir. But I now think that someting is leaking inside and finding its way out through the bottom somewhere. The unit still works but it just has a bit of water, probably a teaspoon or two after each use. I have not taken it apart to see if its something that can be easily remedied or not. I'm not too worried about it because if it can't be fixed, it's not that big of a deal and I'll continue to use it until it croaks. I've gotten two years plus of using it at least 2-times per day so if I need to buy another oral irrigation device to replace this, I'll likely buy the same thing again as it has worked so well and was so fairly priced. And my dental hygienist continues to praise me during my twice yearly exams. This has completely replaced flossing for me and I still get high marks from my dentist. Click here for more information I received this product and found in the instructions that you actually have to remove a part from your faucet in order to put the product on. Once I did this (which I was not happy about) I found that the product did not fit. Be careful before buying as you may run into a similar problem. I contacted the seller and said they would refund the product price but not any shipping costs to me or the cost it take to send it back to them......with a policy like that it is not worth the hassle. The seller should have disclosed in the item description that it only fits certain sink sizes and that you would need to remove a part from your faucet. It is not simply a screw on the sink procedure as described in the description.

I ordered the pro floss and tried it. I love this easy to use cleaner, that you just connect to the water faucet and go at it. It cleans better than the electric water pik for half the price. This product is highly recommended, even my breath smells better now. I know my dentist is going to be upset when I start having less visits.

My dentist suggested I get a water pik to keep my new whole mouth implants clean, and he stated such a device would remove most food particles. I found this dental waterjet oral irrigator on the amazon.com site, and ordered it right away. It was priced right, looked easy to use, no water tank, controlled by a faucet, I really liked the idea. It arrived a week ahead of the estimated delivery time, and turned out just as advertised, only better. I love being able to adjust the water temperature, there is no mess, no fuss - the perfect product! I am getting another one, to keep in reserve just in case. I recommend this seller and this product most highly.

I did a lot research and found this to be very reasonably priced. I like that it uses the faucet and not a reservoir for the water. The attachement converter is simple to put on and conveniently stays on so when I use the irrigator I just have to snap it on the faucet adapter. The only thing I'm worried about is that the hard parts of the item are all plastic... and the plastic seems like it could be easily broken if you are careless with it. Otherwise, it's great! Easy to adjust the water pressure, since it is controlled by your faucet handle and a 4-position dial on the handle.

I purchased this oral irrigator last month for my husband who has gone through many of the models that sit on your cabinet. When the last one broke, I began to look for a replacement. After searching many sites I found this one. The reviews were very positive and I prefer to buy from Amazon (don't believe they have ever disappointed me). My husband loves this irrigator and I like (love) the fact that it doesn't sit on my cabinet all the time. The white attachment is always there but really not a distraction. Highly recommend this product.

It was very easy to install, I used my kitchen sink since I could not get the bathroom aerator to come off. My one complaint is that the hose is so tightly twisted that once the water pressure increases inside it I end up fighting to get it adjusted to go in my mouth. I do think it is a nifty little thing and it makes my gums feel massaged. It sure was alot cheaper than the models with the containers you have to fill.

This is a nice water flosser. So much less expensive than a Water Pik. It comes with two color-coded, easy to change heads (his and hers). Easy to hook up (and yes, the adapter does need to stay on your faucet, but it's not intrusive) and use. I love that I can adjust the water pressure and temperature easily with the faucet controls. The first time you use it, keep anything that can't get wet away from you! I've gotten used to it and don't soak the bathroom anymore : ). The only thing I wish it had is an on/off button (which is the only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars), as starting and stopping without spraying water everywhere takes some getting used to. Overall, very pleased with it and would recommend it to others.

I love simplicity. This item offers a simple, effective way to clean between your teeth and protect your gums by using the water flow of your faucet to set water temp. and force of water flow. When you finish, just slip it back in the plastic bag it comes in and store it under the sink. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that my dental hygenist says that she puts mouthwash into her battery operated water pic to freshen her whole mouth. This product does not allow this function. However, I really like it.

Awesome water pick. The adapter will fit both standard inner female faucet threads and outer goose neck male faucet threads. Excellent pressure and a pure sense of clean. Does and excellent job. Highly recommended!!!

This product works as described and it's great that it does not need a power source. It took a little experimentation with the washers to prevent the adapter from leaking but it was possible to get it leak tight. Click here for more information I've been using an oral irrigator as part of my dental hygienics for a long time. I use to be a Waterpik fan for many years until recently. My first Waterpik lasted over ten years. Fair enough for a home appliance. So about a year ago I bought their new model; big mistake. The cheap brittle hose snapped after a few months. Being a technically savvy sort I was able to get the machine apart, and reattach the hose. Then it started breaking at the handle. That took a little more finesse and some Super Glue. After the third time it broke off at the handle, I had my fill with a poorly made product.



So I went in search of an alternative. Oral Breeze's Quikpik QuickPik - Dental Oral Irrigator was the answer for me. It attaches directly to your faucet where you can adjust the water pressure and temperature with you faucet. It does require you to replace your aerator, but that is not a difficult task. Once you've done that, you can simply attach and detach the unit at will.



Oh, did I mention it's made like gang busters and has a life time warranty. And talk about customer service: I had a small problem with one of the tips (it comes with two), so I called Tom at the customer service number. No problem, he sent out two new tips at no extra cost and included a little gift of Therapics to boot. Wow!



I love this thing, no electricity , no ugly thing-a-ma-tub in the bathroom taking up space. I'm a convert, but I guess you figured that out by now.

I bought this to have a quieter waterpik for late night use, so I wouldn't disturb people trying to sleep. The sellers sent me an email with helpful tips on gum care and rinsing solutions. The product was very easy to install. Very quiet, and easy to adjust for either hand!

Three issues with it - first is the hose, which is a tiny bit stiff and can be awkward to turn if you don't hold it just right. It can be a bit fiddly to adjust pressure and water temperature, as these are controlled by your faucet handles. (if you live in a house like mine, the water slowly gets too hot, then quickly gets too cold, etc) Last is the spray. Possibly I'm still learning how to use it properly, but I end up with a very fine misty spray all over the place.



In all I'm pleased with it as a backup waterpik. Note if you want to travel with it, you'll have to do some disassembly to any faucet you plan to attach it to.

I've used a Water Pik for years but hated the noise and the big "box" sitting on the sink. When the plastic tubing, which can not be replaced, got a hole in it I saw the Quick Breeze on the website and decided to give it a try. First of all, it's much cheaper, takes up no space on the sink and is quiet....all pluses. I love it. It's a great alternative. It does not pulse like the Water Pic but I think it does a good job irrigating teeth. There was a small white piece that was not in the directions when we installed it. I was having trouble with the plastic tube coming off when there was too much water pressure. I finally discovered that if you push the tube on FIRST, as far as you can, then slide the small while plastic piece over it and push it as far toward the pic as possible it holds it on even under high water pressure. Now it's perfect.

I have been so pleased with the performance of this item. It is easy

to use - no tanks to fill, no batteries to charge. It is completely

portable - just screw the adaptor onto any bathroom faucet and you are

good to go. Adjusting the pressure can be a little tricky but really

no big deal once you get the hang of it. I am going to recommend this

to friends and family.

This oral irrigator is well-engineered, well-constructed, is quiet, easy to use, inexpensive and functions beautifully. It uses top-quality materials and is guaranteed for life. It makes all those other clunky, loud, rickety, clumsy contraptions, ah, not so good.

After two waterpiks died, we tried this and are happy we did. Works really well, and since there's no battery, we expect it to last a long time. The only downside is that you have to remember to move the lever back to the regular faucet position or the spray goes everywhere when you turn on the water.

This thing greatly helps to keep your gums healthy, but bear in mind that YOU STILL NEED TO FLOSS!!! As others have noticed the documentation wasn't perfectly clear about that issue, but I asked my dentist and he said flossing is still required, bit of a bummer... I've noticed though that I don't need to floss for as long to get all the junk out between my teeth. Usually just a couple of passes with the floss is enough for this thing to blow out the garbage, definitely worth it IMO. Only problems I had with it was the short tubing and that I found only 1 of the tips worth using (the other was too restrictive so not enough water would flow through...). Make sure to hold the tip pointed such that the stream of water is directed down/up below the gumline, and not touching your teeth, otherwise it won't be able nearly as effective at keeping your gums/teeth healthy!! - Oral Hygiene - Waterpik - Water Pik - Water Pick
