Mitsubishi WD-82838 Reviews

This TV has been upgraded from my Toshiba 65" rear projection. All I can say is WOW! amazing in every way. I havn't a single complaint, and I am so pleased that Mitsubishi has a firmware update making it compatible with almost all players out there without the 3D converter.

I use the Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray for 3D content, and is just fantastic. The color is excellent and it feels as if it were right there in the action. The Mitsubishi 82838 supports 36-bit "Deep Color", as my Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray. With the two of them with 36-bit "Deep Color" is truily experience "breathtaking". The Avatar look great with this player and the TV. This TV have never done justice in the store, because they are typically configured correctly, and most are placed on a shelf and support when you find yourself looking at the image that makes them less comfortable than the seats properly.

Personally I do not like LED TV in the store. Most stores have a refresh rate of TV on television so high that any movie I've ever seen of them seem wrong. When an image is more clear that life is literally the deployment of "realism" of the film. It 'a little' "hard to explain .. Maybe it's just me.

I bought the optional WiFi adapter and it works fine, I just hope to add support for YouTube to their list. Bar 16 loudspeakers on programming Sears diamond gives a good overall effect. I also like the fact that television has a secondary entrance on the back so you can get that waiver low needs. The TV has the ability to use the soundbar on TV as center speaker channel in a surround configuration through the "Line Out" outputs. TV is supplied with a microphone to calibrate the sound bar. We pass through a series of noises to determine their room and the listening position for the microphone.

This TV is absolutely amazing !!!!!!!!! We love that is so huge and fits perfectly into our wall. The image is sharp and so is the noise. This is an excellent choice for us. All our friends are surprised by the size, and our grandchildren love it because their cartoon characters have the same dimensions lol.

I replaced another Mitsubishi projector I owned for 10 years and I look around for LEDs, which studies the Internet on the TV, and I could not see spending $3000 to $4000 on a LED camera much smaller. I replaced the TV was a 65" and I decided I'm going a little bigger and I am so glad I did. It's great TV to look for a striking image. HI DEF looks great and is a very cool 3D blow you away. I went with glasses OPTOMA DLP Links 3D ZD101 and worked fine sitting 21 meters from the screen. There is no need for the package start of 3D/adapter Mitsubishi has updated the firmware to buy. This TV gives you your own theater. to buy it and regret it.

      Reviews

After yesterday the creation of our new Mitsubishi 82-inch WD-82738. First, the TV was packaged very well, no harm, and a hell of a big box. Having owned DLP TV in the past, I can honestly say this is by far the best we've ever had. The picture is bright and clear, considering how the price of a television consumption has become so easy, I would say this TV as a business.

The things that I had small problems, but I list them. During the first hour after the connection to your TV have no sound. I had a pretty picture, but no matter what I did with the TV's audio settings do not produce sounds. Since I took my satellite receiver does not know if it was just the receiver or TV ... so I connected to the Internet. Again, no sound. At this point, I was ready to call Mitsubishi when I read a paragraph on the back only to the installation manual .... Reset system. Given the power button for 10 seconds and restarts when the TV ... It was the sound! I think it would be nice if they made this 'a little' clearer ... wasted a lot of time before diagnosis, I realized it was something that needed to be done.

Only other negative point ... has stated in an optical digital audio output ... Optics is not ... or if it is certain that I do not believe that other optical connections or cables you already own. But it is always connected to a surround sound system so I think this feature is not so important ... but that should change in advertising.

I am an a/v nut. My other TV is a 10 foot projector. I love this TV. The picture looks fantastic. It makes my 60" phillips I had look terrible. I have not purchased the converter box for the 3d but it's coming soon. The audio is good. The remote is not great but I use dish network's remote anyways.

There are some MINOR critiques. I can say is it takes over ten seconds to start up every time you turn it on, for the projector inside it to light up the bulb. You get used to it, and it is not a big issue. The other thing is that the screen (which is very good at not casting reflections with it's matte finish) is flat in the center but has a slight crown in the corners, which is visible if you're looking for the matte reflection (as it's EXTREMELY well hidden, and only seen when you look for screen's reflection).

Where else are you going to find 73" of screen at this price? And it's incredible looking as well.

I have been casually shopping lcd's and plasmas but went with DLP because the pictures on the new flatscreens these days have outpaced Hollywood and it is hard for me to get into a movie when all I can see are make up lines and blemishes on the actors, (Bruce Willis looks OLD on an lcd! kinda depressing cuz that means I'm getting old too) and all the obviously fake sets. Even the CGI looks hokey IMO. Having said that the mits has a BEAUTIFUL picture. Crystal clear and crisp even in daylight. With the 73' watching sports it's like the play starts in your living room and they score in your dining room----AWESOME! At $1199 by far the best bang for the buck of anything out there right now. The speakers suck, suck, suck so you will want to hook it up to an amp. 3d ready means you have a choice of buying a panasonic 3d bdp which decodes to their checkerboard signal or you pony up some bucks to mitsubishi for the adapter. The 7 and 8 series mits come with a 3d firmware update so the mits adapter is hopefully coming down in price for us cheapskate 638 buyers. Mine was built 9/2010 and did NOT come with the cheesy looking grey speakers. Not as much screen control as the higher end models but this was a non issue as the presets all look fantastic. Bottom line this is the perfect pricepoint monitor for home theater or sports.

        Mitsubishi WD-65638 65-Inch 3D-Ready DLP HDTV

This will be short and sweet. I bought this TV a couple of weeks ago. Big TV. This morning I connected the PS3 Starter Kit and my 3D. The 3D quality is phenomenal. And as good as what I saw in the theater. The best thing is to Mitsubishi DLP is the technology used in the same theater. It 'also cheaper than other brands. So if you are considering a 3D, I recommend Mitsubishi . I've seen Samsung, Sony and Panasonic and the only 3D TV is good and maybe a little 'better than the Panasonic (but too high a price). If you own a PS3, 3D ready, if you do not need to buy a Blu 3D ray. This is certainly the way to go. You will not be disappointed ....

Wow. My Blu-Ray and HD-DVD collection is alive again. Every night, this beautiful destination to combine television with my system around nearby field and experience of the film! Donnie Yen has never started so well. This is my first HDTV at all. I was on board from the beginning. I do not like 3D, so when half the resolution of scanning in 3D mode does not concern me. I bought this to have a big tv and that's what I got. After calibration with spears and calibration Munsil Blu-ray, I tried what I feel is actually a better experience for me to get to the cinema. I have the TV only 1.5 times the screen width away from my couch Central. The screen is actually two-thirds of the site on the one hand, if the correct distances.

I saw some clarity to customers the derogatory remarks and color TV. The TV looks amazing. I respect the plasma screens and even though I like the softness of the plasma, I chose this TV instead. The size can not be beaten. Especially at this price. Does not stop for two weeks. I understand that I will have to replace the bulb once in a while. A friend of mine has a 60 inch DLP and it seems about 60 hours per week. It took three years to claim a replacement bulb. He said it was simple and light bulbs are only $ 100 now. The choice is yours. Mitsubishi actually cleaner than the LCD display black, but is more sensitive to ambient light reflections.

Television reacts much faster than LCD TVs of video games. I have a PS3, Wii and 360 in my living room. Even if the Wii is not HD, the refresh rate of the DLP and television in particular, is much more efficient than LCD models, and then the Wii Remote feels more responsive. Twitch games like Contra: Rebirth and HardCorps: Uprising benefit from this lack of motion blur even involuntary. Games such as Transformers: Battle for Cybertron and Dead Space is able to play without starting the contrast now. I used to have to turn off the backlight to see in dark areas of my LCD TV. Not anymore. I am a happy camper and I continue to be surprised when I turn on the TV.

        Mitsubishi WD-60738 60-Inch 3D DLP HDTV

I bought this TV back in September 2010. I'm in love with it. The picture quality is great, the color is vibrant, honest and is not heavy. Amazon delivered, but not established. I was able to lift and move a property. It easy to use, great picture, and generally good value.

Purchased this TV for a reason - 3D. Should have done my homework in advance. Well - I did, sort of. I trusted another opinion on a player Panasonic DMP-editor BDT110P 3D Blu-ray - 3d said he worked well with this TV. It was obvious they had never experienced before 3d. I thought it was the new 3D, I do not like, so I'm back. I have consulted with the support of Mitsubishi and was told that I have never received a complaint on a Sony. So Walmart (one way) - I bought a Sony BDP-S580. What is good is that they were content for FREE for 3-D - this is the original, I discovered that 3-D actually worked - that is absolutely amazing. So I bought the Tron 3D - did not work. He was so disappointed that the streaming of 3D content worked, but the disc did not. So I contacted Disney and found that I had to go into the drive and set output to 1080p or 720p - beautiful - again.

In the last player from Panasonic, I rented Tron, the 3D image seemed about a foot back on television, but did not really look 3D. But Sony does! So if you have had the same problems I have, I think you know how I could not find anywhere that the player with the purchase of television.

        Excellent TV and great value!
I am very pleased with this TV. This is absolutely beautiful picture that is much more natural than a pixel Rato (I just made up that word) or Plasma LCD glass. Do not get me wrong, I like the image produced by the LCD and plasma, but at the same time, you will not find one of these 60" (or more) for less than $1000 ... especially with HD displays 24p and 120Hz update. Why This TV is great value ... you get a lot of standard display with a huge screen size for a great price.

PROS: 1) the extremely natural picture (after some tweeking of course) 2) the on board speakers are actually pretty good, although I still connected it to my Klipsch surround sound (another highly recommended brand) 3) the automatic connectivity theme makes it very easy to connect and change inputs 4) it's very easy to setup and get the colors right (use the perfectcolor feature) 5) although the screen is huge, while watching shows in HD or Blurays the TV doesn't miss a single pixel, the picture stays smooth and natural (the color is very deep and thorough, but make sure you tweek it right, which is easy to do). Even basic SDTV looks pretty good compared to comparable LCD and Plasma competitors.

CONS: 1) THE REMOTE SUCKS (I hate everything about it except the fact that it lights up when pressed) 2) The viewing angle is pretty narrow if you want to keep the picture and color in complete focus. The TV likes to be viewed straight on with a minimum of about 8 feet between you and the TV (although you can see it pretty good at angles that aren't too extreme) 3) it easily catches reflections from lights, windows etc. on it's plexi-screen (although Plasmas do the same thing, in my opinion to a worse amount)4) there is a lack of some inputs (aka S-video) but you can easily buy adapters.

After the TV for a couple of months for a HDMI started flickering pretty bad. I thought it was my HDMI cable so I bought another one. He did the same after a week. So I entered my original cable 2 HDMI inputs and it worked fine. It seems that my HDMI connection slows by dying on me. I do not harbor any stars for this, though, because I bought the TV from a man who has purchased new and used a month before selling it to me because of lack of finances. Knowing him, I would say that probably was not his fault if the connection is short-circuit current (I checked the blog and I have not found other problems along this line). He probably tried to connect a USB cable to the HDMI input or something stupid like that. However, I only need two HDMI inputs anyway, so all went well ... there was no reason to dock any stars.

TOTAL: This TV is easily the best purchase for any set of less than $1000 ... and I would say $1200-1300. If you have enough space to allow the wall with this sit, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

        Nice for the price
I just got this TV, and I was very perticular the ability to communicate in 3D. I got the starter kit and at first I was going to write more, but after I wired the right way. WOW! It 'very deep. The color is excellent and the 3D was like in the movies.

My wife thinks it nuts, because she spends her time upstairs on the Samsung and I'm down on the color Mitsubishi 60". I looked at the ocean and the Sea in 3D, and so good that I spent hours watching it. Now I need to have Blu-Ray, so I can watch DVDs from other 3D. I highly recommend this TV. You should invest in a starter kit for 3D in 3D, but it's worth it ...

Oh Yeah. Its very light weight. The shipping company in Michigan was very good and that television has not only worked, but no scratches or defects on it. I was skeptical at first to order on the intranet, but I have excellent products on Amazon with all faults or problems.
