Gluten Free Cereal Bar - celiac, gluten free cereal bar

These bars are very good tasting and I think very good for you! We got started on them because they are gluten free, and they are the best tasting gluten free product we have ever found period. My wife and I both have one mid-morning and mid-afternoon with our green tea---very good. The only problem is that I requested that Amazon get them several months ago, then I got the notice that they had them, so I promptly ordered six boxes, only to be told they had a limit of one box!! Now its been several weeks and they still do not have any more in???? And its not because they can not get them, because every one else has them available with no limit on how many you can buy??

We get these snack bars so that my kids, who have gluten and casein allergies, can have something to put in their lunch. But now that we have the 6 pack, there are so many around the house, that even I was able to try them. And unlike some gluten-free foods, these are really palatable. Especially good with a slathering of peanut butter on top, if your child isn't allergic to nut products, that is. We took a load with us on vacation to Wisconsin Dells, and they proved a delicious, energy-filled breakfast before we hit the waterparks. And on days when my daughter is late getting ready for school, she can just grab a bar for breakfast as I drive her in the car. In short - quick, convenient, delicious, and gluten-casein free. Perfect for a family with allergies.

These are delicious. We all love these little bars which are 4" X 1 1/2" X 1/2 " and come individually packaged. The tastes reminds me of eating a BabyRuth Candy Bar. They are very sweet and provide a quick pick me up or anythime snack. Great for quick breakfast with glass of Soy or Almond milk. They are covered in chocolate and have a few peanuts for extra flavor and crunch. They are a little sticky compared to regular rice krispy bars , because they use honey and brown rice syrup instead of marshmallows.

**gluten free but does have peanuts

My kids love these (me too) and they are very hard to please. Great snack for schools that don't prohibit peanuts. I have been trying to go organic and better quality foods for us and this company does not dissappoint. Go for it!

I can't speak for the kids, but as an adult, these rice bars make a perfect snack. The peanuts provide protein while the rice and chocolate provide carbs. These bars would be great for anyone with a busy lifestyle. They're not messy, which makes them an ideal snack while working on the computer. They're surprisingly tasty and flavorful. The consistency is very appealing - soft yet crispy. I buy these a lot.

I really like EnviroKidz' crispy rice bars, but these peanut choco ones are the best! They have actual bits of peanut mixed in, which gives them a nice little crunch, and the quality of the chocolate drizzled across the top is good. One caveat: Although these bars don't taste overly sweet, they do have 8g of sugar each. Health food they're not -- but they are a good substitute for candy bars, which tend to be much higher in fat and sugar.

Amazon's price is the best I've found thus far, especially if you do the Subscribe & Save option.

I tried these recently, bought a single box at the local grocery store. When they're room temperature, they're just ok to me. But when they have been refrigerated, they are perfect. I have been buying the berry, chocolate, and peanut butter rice bars from Amazon for years, and they are a great quality product. I am so glad I tried the peanut choco drizzle, and I am adding them to my Subscribe and Save orders. - Celiac - Gluten Free Cereal Bar - Organic - Cereal Bars - Snack Bars - Chocolate

Gluten Free Cereal - gluten free cereal, cereals

So, you're gluten free and you can't eat oats, and maybe there's a corn allergy and or incipient diabetes and all the gluten-free rice cereals have huge amounts of sugar, and what the heck can you eat for breakfast?

This.

It's truly gluten-free, has no sugar, it's not gross, and it's cheap.

Also, being a non-oat eating celiac without incipient diabetes I was looking for a base for homemade honey peanutbutter breakfast bars because gluten free things like Lara Bars cost $1.50 each. I think I may have found the missing ingredient. Very cool.

This Crispy Rice cereal is good but not quite like Rice Crispies. I bought them to make rice crispy treats and they kind of smooched together and weren't crispy. But if you aren't going to use them for that they are great!

I was eating Erewhon Crispy Brown Rice Cereal, Gluten Free for a long time, using it in my granola and also my go-to dish when I'm starving (this is often the case when you are gluten free) which is warming some almond or peanut butter in the microwave and stirring in the cereal. The Nature's Path is much better and doesn't get soggy like Erewhon.

Nature's Path Organic Crispy Rice Cereal is a product that is VERY nutritious----it is made with BROWN RICE which is much more nutritious than white rice and is gluten free It has a crunchy texture, and kids are sure to like it. Using honey or agava nectar for a sweetener in place of granulated sugar makes it even more nutritious. Nature's Path Organic Crispy Rice Cereal, 10-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6)

My 4 year old son who has celiac likes them a lot. Not as much as another brand that tastes like chocolate though, who can blame him. I like that they do not contain too much sugar, but wish they stayed crispier longer and a few added vitamins would be nice. Not complaining though, since this is a SAFE GLUTEN-FREE cereal. :) - Gluten Free Cereal - Cereals - Wheat Free - Celiac - Cereal - Better Than Sex

Organic Snacks - berry bars, organic snacks

These are very tasty. Not too sweet like some bars, but plenty sweet enough. Nice fruity flavor - my favorite of the three EnviroKidz bars. Even if I didn't need to eat gluten-free, these would be a favorite snack.

I don't know how is it that someone took rice and made it taste so good, but I have been eating these for several months now. They are extremely addictive. Sometimes I find myself getting up in the middle of the night just to eat them. Not too sweet, and no stomach reaction from someone like me, who can't tolerate gluten. I have tried all of the flavors, and they are equally satisfying. Of course, this is a processed food and has no live nutrients as they say, but its the only snack I eat really when I buy processed foods!

When I purchased this item the ingredients on amazon did NOT say that it was made with soy oil. My son is alergic to wheat, milk, soy, peanut and eggs. I was so happy when I found this because it was affordable and (I thought) he could actually eat it. When it came I was really upset to find that it's made with soy, not canola like it states. Amazon should fix the discription. I ended up bringing the bars into my classroom and giving them away.

I've been buying these bars at Whole Foods for a while now, they are fantastic! I usually buy the peanut butter ones, which are good but not quite as flavorful as the berry bars. I love the fact that there are actual freeze-dried raspberries and blueberries in the bar, it gives them a subtle kick. I can't tolerate large amounts of gluten, so these are perfect for a snack. The size of the bars is nice, but they are not very filling so they can be addicting...

But it's better than eating a regular cereal bar, many bars these days have artificial sugars and all kinds of scary things in them. At least with these bars, I can pronounce everything listed in the ingredients!

Love 'em!

These things are so good!! I had originally bought them for my daughter (2 years) but she didn't care for them. I think it might have been because they're really big. But my husband and I are addicted. They're not too sweet like regular rice crispies and the berries in them make them even better tasting. Really good treat!

Our family loves these. They have the consistency of a Rice Krispy Treat, and the flavor of a Blueberry Muffin. I like that they are healthier and don't get my kids used to having everything taste like candy. Very impressed. Fair price too.

These are excellent bars. When I first went gluten-free, I despaired at finding a bar that I could tolerate without paying a hefty price. These are sweet without being heavily sugarized, crunchy, and low fat. Better yet, with the subscribe & save deal, they are much much cheaper than buying them in store. - Berry Bars - Organic Snacks - Snack Bars - Wheat Free - Celiac - Kids Snack

Blueberries - cereal, organic

Because of mutliple food allergies I seek out simple breakfast cereals with minimal added ingredients. For a sweetened rice cereal with added fruit, this is an excellent choice. It is low in fat and low in sodium and of course gluten free with 120 calories, 100 mg sodium, and 1 g fiber per 1 cup serving. The cereal itself has a nice crunchy texture. I eat mine with Rice Dream rice milk and thoroughly enjoy the dried fruit pieces.Erewhon Crispy Brown Rice with Mixed Berries, Gluten Free, 10-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6)

Ingredients: organic brown rice, organic brown rice syrup, honey, freeze dried blueberries, freeze dried raspberries, freeze dried strawberries, sea salt, natural flavor.

I have been purchasing this prodcut from Amazon.com for several years and their packaging and shipping of this product has improved so there is little crushing of the cereal boxes in shipment now (some of my early shipment configurations left the boxes distressed). Amazon's price is hard to beat and the service is always fast and reliable.

I thought it would be bland, but not so! Very tasty cereal... comparable to rice krispies, with freeze dried fruit in it... my only issue is the generic labeled 'natural flavors' in it... i have been hearing that manufacturers have been hiding behind that label & putting all sorts of undesirable things in our foods.. but since its 'natural'.. we don't know what exactly it IS in our food. hmmmmmmm.....

plus, there isn't a whole lot of fruit in the box. Some bowls have only a couple pieces in them.. :(

and, the fruit isnt organic, so to say that the cereal is 'organic' is slightly misleading. Still, i like it overall!

I'm not used to gluten free, brown rice cereals but have been trying to incorporate them into my diet because of stomach problems. I didn't like this that much and won't repurchase. I detected a light, bitter aftertaste and the berries literally gagged me. I like chewy berries in my cereal, not extreme dried to the point of crunch/dissolve and they were a touch sour on some and overpowering in taste. Yuck. The sweetness was so miniscule I ended up adding more sugar. Really wasn't for me and just my personal opinion.

As we all know, gluten free food is sometimes horrible! Not this cereal. It's very good. Love the dried fruit, I just wish there was more of it. The crispy rice even snap, crackle and pops! You'll like this cereal. - Cereal - Organic - Blueberries - Dairy-free - Breakfast - Celiac

Favorite Chefs - cookbook, cooking

I just received this book a couple of days ago and I love it! The layout is very nice and across the top of the page of every recipe the five ingredients are listed, so that you can quickly flip through the cookbook and have an overview of the ingredients used. So far I have made:

Rosemary-Parmesan Shortbread - so delicately delicious and addictive, great with wine and I even had a few the next day with my coffee. My son kept finding his way back to the pantry to sneak some extras.

Asian Beef Roll-ups - very flavorful (but I confess I did not roll them up), the next day my husband put the leftovers in a hotdog bun and topped them with the braised red cabbage and loved it that way too. I do think I will grill the flank steak whole next time and slice it after it's cooked. Those thin slices cooked way too fast and came close to being more like beef jerky, but that has more to do with my skills than the recipe. I also think I'll will double the sauce (so good!) and try to use it in different dishes.

Braised Red Cabbage - this was good, but next time I will try to get my helping first instead of last, the crumbled bacon over the top definitely got people's attention! Not too mention the yummy smell of maple ("I smell syrup and bacon!" was heard a few times while I cooked this).

Can't wait to cook some more recipes today!

Yum.

Okay, in all seriousness, yum.

It takes a true genius to come up with Baked Ricotta with Stewed Cherries and make it okay to eat for breakfast! It was seriously just like cheesecake. I love this...

I'm not a huge fan of Claire Robinson's show (I get annoyed easily by cooking show hosts) but I love her philosophy and style. She's French school trained, yet makes things so simple!

The Buttermilk Pecan Chicken was so easy and delish! It's now on my monthly rotation of meals to cook. I cheated a bit though and used a jarred sauce for the noodles which go with it (and added broccoli since I felt we needed a veg with dinner). But oh...I'm enjoying this book. There are little snippets on each page of "What makes this recipe really sing" and "What to toss in if you have it" that are nuggets of information from the author and it's really a great cook book. I'm looking forward to making more recipes from it in the weeks to come!

I received a copy of the book from Hachette Book Group in return for an honest review. No additional compensation has been received and I was not required to write a positive review.

Claire's KISS philosophy (Keep It Simple Stupid) is right up my alley. I like that the recipes deliver quickly and without fuss. I made brown butter banana muffins using up ripe bananas I had stored in freezer. I also made an Edamame hummus (like chickpea) to use up edamame (soybeans) wasn't sure what to do with it. I also made ricotta spaetzle, a nice surprise, b/c I had a spaetzle recipe I liked, but this one is better--very delicate and tender. (Altho' a colander is usually suggested for this, it helps to have a spaetzle maker or a food mill so 'drops' of batter fall into the pot of water easily). The Polenta Fries came out brown and crispy, then dipped into tomato sauce (made mine spicy)--fast, easy, very good! There are many pics in this book which help to inspire. The picture of Prosecco Gelatin Parfait in see-thru trifle cups w/ whipped cream between is calling my name. (Jello for grown-ups--will make that one for sure!). These recipes are elegant and, to my mind, innovative--yet fast and simple. Even though I have countless cookbooks on my shelf, I am glad I bought this one too.

5 Ingredient Fix: Easy, Elegant and Irresistible is written by the new uprising star of the Food Network, Claire Robinson. This cookbook simply helps you put great and delicious food on your table quickly. So, being a hectic mom always running from work, daycare and life, I was thrilled to receive this book as to conduct this review.

5 Ingredient Mix compiles some beautiful recipes using five ingredients or less. The recipes in the book are easy, affordable and quick. What else could I ask for? This cookbook, as it saves a lot of time out of the kitchen, simply works for me. The dishes do not look plain but, simply appear to be exquisite and tasteful. These recipes prove that in order to have a beautiful, lavish meal does not equal long hours in the kitchen.

The book itself is sectioned out in parts categorizing meals from breakfast, appetizers, drinks, main meals to side dishes, desserts and treats. The choices and variety are endless. Robinson also explains her 5 Ingredient philosophy indicating that cooking should be fun, easy, affordable and healthy. She also adds a personal letter to her readers as well as a section informing her readers on what utensils they should have in the kitchen for successful cooking. So, with a quick trip to the supermarket, picking up a small bag of groceries, you can have a restaurant-like dinner on your table in no time. I can't wait to try these recipes but, with the simple cooking in the short time it takes, I am already happy. - Cookbook - Cooking - Favorite Chefs - 3g - Celiac - Fast

Certified Organic Grocery - organic, peanut butter

I was surprised to see that people don't like these. I don't have kids, but I buy them for myself because they're gluten free. I like that they're not too sweet, and relatively low in calories and fat compared to many bars out there. A tasty snack to have around. I'd like a little more PB flavor, but at least they're not loaded with sugar.

I'm Gluten-Intolerant, so I'm always trying to find good-tasting foods that are gluten-free (hah). These aren't too bad. They are supposed to taste like Peanut-Butter Rice Krispie Treats. They are much lighter as far as a "bar" goes - reminds me of eating those round rice-poof cakes. They taste...decent. The first part and last part of the bite is good; somewhere around the middle to end you get a funny taste. No bad aftertaste though. They are nice to have in case you get hungry and need to avoid stuff with gluten in it. All I can say is give it a try and see if you like them. I can see kids liking them a lot more than adults too.

my daughters love this tasty PB natural snack. typically in the stores around here, one box is close to $5. but this bulk buy makes it about $2.70 - a real bargain. already one day, they've finished off one box!

My autistic grandson just loves these bars. Being on a gluten free diet there are not many snacks he can have, but enviro kidz have outdone themselves on these. Ryan asks for them by name "Can I have Panda please?" Highly recommend them.

Well, I have to put my two cents in since some folks have really been discouraging. I love these bars! And I particularly love this flavor--yes, I am a peanut butter fan. I like that they are light and very much like a rice krispy bar. I find them a good afternoon snack (I also love Clif bars, but sometimes I want something lighter, and quicker, to eat). I wonder if the folks who don't like them (if they aren't a competitor) are used to more mainstream foods that overwhelm the taste buds with sugar and artificial flavors. In any event, maybe you should buy a box before you buy a case... ;-)

I was very pleasantly surprised at how good these are, especially compared to regular crispy bars. They have a nice peanut butter flavor that's quite tasty without being overwhelmingly sweet. My 7 year old finished one and then immediately asked if we could start putting them in her lunch or snack for school. They're also a good size, so I'll probably toss one into my bag for a snack on occasion also. One box of 6 bars is over five dollars at my local grocery store; this is an awesome price and I'll definitely be ordering them from Amazon from now on.

This is one of the first food items I found after being diagnosed with Celiac disease over 1 1/2 years ago. It tastes great. I have it as a breakfast bar, snack, dessert, and it's only only 110 calories (something I now have to watch due to weight gain). Chocolate & Berry flavors are equally as good (if not better). I typically buy these in bulk from Amazon; the price is comparable to what local retail stores are selling it for (i.e. Wegmans, Whole Foods, etc.).

This is actually tasty! My son will only eat this brand and the peanut butter flavor. We tried the other flavors and for us they were terrible. It's much cheaper to buy them here than at the Grocery. Well made, tasty, healthy! - Organic - Peanut Butter - Bad - Celiac - Cereal Bars - Breakfast

Wheat Free - celiac, cereal

Let your taste buds explode. If you think this cereal has no flavor, your taste buds have been destroyed from _______. This cereal is manufactured from Attune foods. ALL ingredients are grown/produced in the USA. There are no bait and switch,"natural flavors","spices" or refined sugars. Minimally processed,it doesn't get any better for you then this. Nor does it sacrifice ANY great taste. This cereal is a bench mark other cereals should set bar to. Subscribe and save make it more affordable. Until more people understand that it takes more sales to drive the costs down, great truly natural products will be more expensive. Hats off to Attune foods for not sacrificing quality for the almighty dollar.

As one reviewer mentioned,it does turn mushy rather quick. But would you rather have some lab produced creatively named ingredient to firm them up for you so you can enjoy a bowl of cereal for a half hour or more,or know exactly what your eating is actually good for you?

This cereal doesn't have much flavor (it's not the worst I've had), but what killed it for me is it turns into mush quickly. I love how most gluten free cereals stay crispy, but not this one. I much prefer their regular puffed rice cereal. - Celiac - Cereal - Gluten Free Cereal - Wheat Free
