Oxo Good Grips - oxo, oxo good grips

This can open works like a charm. As others have observed, the first time you use it, you might not think it did anything, but it has cleanly split the soldered seam joining the lid to the body of the can. You can tell you've gone the entire 360° around the lid because the handle starts turning with less resistance. Some have said you have to lift the lid by inserting your fingernail into the split in the solder seam, or by using needle-nose pliers, but that's not true, at least not on the lastest model. OXO actually has included a tiny set of metal pincers on the side of the can opener opposite the turning knob that engage as you move the handles together -- they do a fine job of gripping the edge of the lid so you can lift it away from the body of the can. (They're just not an obvious feature unless you happen to read the very tiny instruction brochure that comes with the can opener.)As with all OXO "Good Grips" products, they've made this one ergonomic for ease of use, especially by people who have difficulty with their hands. The two handles you squeeze to get the can opener seated on the can lid are large and bulky enough to squeeze easily, with a rubbery feel that makes them non-slip. The knob or handle you turn is also large, bulky and rubbery so that it not only doesn't slip, it's easy to hold onto while you rotate it. Because the can opener is gear driven, it turns easily and smoothly as the can revolves.I still have my old Swing-A-Way can opener that cuts the lid out, a gear driven model that I can't fault for its performance. I've kept it around because I'm sure there might be an odd can or two that the newfangled can opener won't handle, but so far that hasn't happened.Another thing -- with this new OXO, since there's no blade cutting down through the lid to pick up food or liquid from inside the can, you have a can opener that stays way cleaner with no blade coated with accumulated black grunge. You can even put the lid back on the can if you want for refrigerator storage of unused portions of what's in the can (though I myself prefer putting leftovers in a plastic container with an airtight lid).I have no idea who thought of this method of opening a can, but it's brilliant -- a true example of thinking "outside the box."

The first day I had it, I wanted to open a can of something for dinner, and tried out my newest kitchen gadget. I followed the instructions, and it was essentially so effortless, and I couldn't see or feel anything happening other than the can rotating, that I thought "I'm either doing something wrong, or this doesn't work." But the fact is, the can was open, and all it took was a bit of a nudge (or the use of the pretty small, but effective clamps on the side of the opener) to remove the top. It totally lives up to its claim of no sharp edges!!! It's on my countertop all the time now, and the old electric can opener may just find its way to a second-hand store.

I wanted a hand-held can opener that would leave no sharp edges, & after reading reviews I chose the OXO Good Grips Smooth Can Opener. This can opener lives up to its name! Absolutely no sharp edges whatsoever, and it is incredibly easy to use. After having an inexpensive Swingaway brand for so long, this one is a dream. I no longer have to fight with opening cans....this one glides effortlessly around the lid---very, very smoothly. I actually look forward to opening cans now! I am amazed every time and wish I had known about this one long ago. Another added bonus worth mentioning is that after opening the can, you are able to lift the lid off & throw it away without ever having to touch it. This can opener opens cans cleanly with no mess, smooth lids/cans, with very little effort to do so.OXO Good Grips Smooth Edge Can Opener is well-worth the [money] paid for it!!!

When I first purchased this about 1.5 years ago it worked great. I love how it does not leave sharp edges. It started getting dull after about 6 months and now takes going around the can 2 or 3 times to open. I am thinking of just trashing and buying another just because I love it's operation so much. To make it perfect they should make it where you can replace the blade.

I can't believe I used to struggle with a super cheap metal no frills can opener. I also can't believe I almost bought an electric one because I was tired of hurting my hands turning impossible knobs. I was trying to stay away from electric openers because they're almost impossible to clean and seem to get gunky really fast. I had almost lost hope. Then I found this little wonder....

The best features of this can opener are:

-Super Easy to turn handle, almost feels like nothing's happening but then pop! the lid is off! I think I gave a little yipe of surprise the first time I used it and my husband thought I'd cut my finger off! No way, I don't think you could cut yourself if you tried using this thing.

-The lid NEVER falls into the can, never again do you have to fish the lid of the can out of the soup or tomatoes, or peaches..

-Super sleek looking, super comfy to hold

-Little metal 'jaws' to pry the lid off the can

-NO SHARP EDGES, nothing to cut holes in your garbage sack, no little fingers getting cuts, it's great.

Do your hands a favor, buy this super easy to use super fabulous can opener. The amazon.com price is a steal for what they sell for in my local stores.

UPDATE: This can opener gradually stopped working, to the point it wouldn't open anything at all. Thanks so OXO's great customer service, I sent it back and received a brand new can opener of a different model that I requested, (the i-series)and love it even MORE than the original smooth edge one I had previously purchased. If you are unhappy with an OXO product, I recommend contacting their customer service to help you. - Oxo - Oxo Good Grips - Kitchen - Smooth Edge - Ergonomic - Arthritis

Sharpening Steel - kitchen gadgets, henckels

This steel is very nice for the price. The length is fine for nearly any knife and the material itself is of a suitable hardness for correcting cutting edges. The handle is easy to hold, and it has a nice heft and balance. Exactly what I would expect from a Henckels product.

Now, a brief clarification: A steel will absolutely not "sharpen" your knife. It doesn't have a grit so much as the steel used is much harder than the knife. (If you have a dull edge you can run it along the finest steel for hours and not get a sharper cutting edge.) What it does do is simply correct the angle of the knife's edge that tends to get bent to either side during normal use. When you run the leading edge of the knife down the steel in the correct manner, a sharp edge should go back to the appropriate angle. If you have a dull blade, you need to hone a new edge. (For that you may consider using a professional sharpening service. this can be a little tough for a novice...sorry!) Once that is done, use your steel each and every time you pull your knives from their home to keep the edge at peak usability.

Keep in mind that you could sharpen a spoon to a razors edge, it just won't keep it for long. Better knives hold an edge for much longer due to the quality of the materials and their hardness. Few of us need an exquisitely expensive set of knives. Just buy a nice set for a good price and keep on using a good steel!

I have Henckels knife which I enjoy using.

I did try other brand's sharpening tool, but it just wasn't as good as original Hanckels. This thing is made in Germany!

Since I paid good sum of money for my knives, it was worth extra money to buy good sharpner. And this really is great price. I saw similar Henckels sharpner at Target for $25.

I am very happy.

It is what it says it is and is great for putting that finished edge on knives. About 6 or 7 passes on each side keeps my wifes favorite kitchen knife razor keen. Also used it on my pocket knife, cuts through boxes like butter.

I recently took a cooking class where I learned how to use a sharpening steel and how effective they are in putting a good edge on you knives. (a few light strokes on each side of the blade at a 20 degree angle is all it takes) My wife can't believe how sharp our knives are now. This was an excellent steel with a molded handle. While not a pretty as the "matched set" this is very functional and our knives don't even notice the molded handle either. I ended up buying another steel for my daughter and now she has sharp knives as well.

This product will not sharpen dull knives, but it will keep sharp knives in great cutting condition much longer. I did not know anything about this type of product before my purchase, but research (and now experience) has shown me that a sharpening steel will remove the burs to keep the cutting edge straight and smooth so the sharpness of the blade does what it does. I notice a big difference if I use my knives a few times without using this product, and then after a few swipes on both sides of the blade they are like new again.

I got this brand since it was a gold box item for me, but I'd recommend any sharpening steel that is at a good price. I can't imagine you'd see much difference in results from different brands, the knives are what really matter.

I've already went through my kitchen knives and touched them all up with a nice edge. This is a fine quality steel. I owned a professional steel already, but it was quite old and I really like the balance of this one better!

How much can you say about a piece like this?

It's a nice size (shorter than most I've used).

It's easy to handle, and my knives (Victorinox Cutlery 6-Inch Chef's Knife, Black Fibrox Handle and Victorinox Fibrox 8-Inch Chef's Knife ) are ready to cut after a quick honing.

For sharpening, I love this tool (and so does Cook's Illustrated):

AccuSharp 001 Knife Sharpener

Have used it over a year. Like the hanging loop. I sharpen with a Tormec wet grinder, then do a final touch-up with this steel. This steel has micro grooves, so a light touch works best. My old Remington 10" carving knife maintains a razor edge with this steel between uses. A final pass with the Global diamond rod ensures a very fine edge. And the price is right. - Kitchen Gadgets - Henckels - Cutlery - Honing Steel - Chefs Knife - Kitchen

Best Bread Maker - panasonic bread machine, best bread maker

We had a Panasonic for a little over 20 years and bought this one because the pan on the old one froze up. I didn't know at the time that I could replace the pan so we threw out the machine. BIG MISTAKE!

We baked only 100% whole wheat bread using the sandwich mode on the old machine and it turned out a perfect, soft and delicious bread. I contacted Panasonic after several failures with the new machine and they informed me that it will not do 100% whole wheat bread and does not have the sandwich mode anymore.

So...now we have a $200.00 dough maker that I use and I have to bake the bread in the oven in order to get it to rise properly and bake through. Every loaf I tried in the machine was heavy, wet and fell after rising. No amount of experimentation changed that. VERY DISSAPOINTING!!

Bottom line is if you are going to bake other breads it might be ok, I don't know. However if you prefer whole grains forget this machine.

I purchased this particular machine less than a week ago because all the reviews were so positive. Now I know why, and I'd give it more than 5 stars if that was a choice. The Panasonic SD-RD250 is just SO easy to use, so easy to clean up, and the booklet that comes with it is most helpful. My first Basic White Rapid loaf was too airy, so I looked up the reason why, used more flour for the 2nd loaf, and it came perfect. I haven't owned a bread machine since the first one I had bit the dust almost 2 decades ago, so I didn't realize how much the technology had improved. I have a whole wheat loaf baking right now and it smells heavenly :-) My family and I love home made bread, and with so little effort we can have fresh bread, with no hidden ingredients, on a daily basis. I love this machine.

The french bread cycle makes a 1 pound size loaf that is better than most bake shops. This bread takes no sugar. Thirty percent whole wheat with pecan, raisin, Molasses, and Cinnamon will rock your morning with a touch of cream cheese after toasting. Machine is the one and only bread maker of the next generation. Happy baker, teloz

This bread maker is a neat little unit that is able to bake bread, as well as make pizza dough and cake mixtures. This comes with a booklet, measuring cup and measuring spoon and has extensive instructions on it's use and recipes to try out. The control panel is fairly intuitive to use and it is very easy to set up the various programs. There are options for bread size, as well as crust colour too, which means you can make the bread tailored to your own tastes and preferences. This has a step by step guide to making your bread so it isn't too confusing or difficult to get started and the results are pretty decent, although I think minor recipe tweaking for personal preference may be worth exploring as well. There is a timer so you can set this to start before you wake up so you can start the day with fresh bread, which is especially nice to do at the weekend when you have the time to enjoy it. There are also trouble shooting hints in the booklet for those early teething problems with using the maker and getting your mixtures right; in fact I found it took me a couple of attempts to get the kind of bread I was after with the more fancy recipes, but once I did I was very pleased with the results. The basic loaf, needless to say, is easy to bake and delicious. This is a piece of cake (if you can excuse the baking pun!) to clean after use and being non-stick coated a quick wipe over is often all it needs. All in all this is a good home bread maker that is easy to use and clean and gives dependable and pleasing results. Well worth considering.

Plastic Bottles - kitchen, plastic bottles

I had high hopes for these bottles, but I was let down from the first minute. I screwed the cap on and tested them with some water, cap fell off and the water poured all over the place. The issue being the threading on the plastic caps is very loose, one thicker ring and a very loose fitting.

They may be okay for storing things, but flip it upside down and squirt and you've got a mess. I thought I got a defective one and tried another with the exact same result. My goal was to hold simple syrup in them for cocktails but the syrup dumps out into the measuring glass as the top falls off.

Awful product, not even worth the shipping costs.

I had been searching for a container to easily dispense various cooking oils and sauces. These are absolutely perfect! The only drawback is that the cap is not connected so it can be easily lost (which is why I only gave it 4-stars), but I only remove the cap for a few seconds as I give a pan/dish a quick whirl of oil /sauce. Plus, at least the closure is pretty snug, unlike traditional oil bottle pour-spout toppers. The 6 ounce capacity is perfect for sauces because I am rarely making much and the larger sizes would waste so much just lining the bottle. They even make for easy measuring (sure beat the crappy pour spouts on olive oil and balsamic vinegar bottles) and never spill or waste.

I bought these to put my week's allotment of olive oil in because they are small and I hoped the pointy tip would allow for controlled dispensing. They do work for me but I have to keep a paper towel wrapped around the bottle and held in place with a rubber band. I don't know if it leaks from where the cap threads on to the bottle or what but even when I wiped the bottle carefully after each use it would still be oily next time I picked it up. When I first got them and was washing them I put water in, screwed on the cap, put a fingertip over the spout and squeezed and no water leaked so it's a mystery how the oil finds its way out. Anyway, I'm happy with the paper towel set-up.

I agree with other posters that they are quite flimsy, so that the top can come off if using them as squeeze bottles form decoration. I cut a larger hole in the tube, and was using something not too thick, so they did serve the purpose, and they are cheap.

Love these plastic decorating bottles. I've used them for adding sour cream on top of soups, but not yet for anything else. They worked perfectly for that, so I assume they would work with anything else too.

The bottle works fine, once you are able to screw on the not terribly smooth screw top. The only real problem is that the closure is a small plastic tip. I could imagine it falling and disappearing forever. Other bottles of this sort have a closure connect to the bottle itself. - Kitchen - Plastic Bottles - Squeeze Bottle

Hard-anodized - anolon, analon

Anolon 'Advanced' is the much higher quality, and, for some quirky reason, is priced $15 less than the Calphalon! I pan-grilled some filet mignon steaks (am savoring them now) and was impressed at the signature 'sear marks'. Cleanup is a breeze and reviewers should note that the Anolon 'Advanced' line has not been plagued with the shedding of the non-stick coating (as both the 'Commercial' and 'Simply Calphalon' lines have been).

This will not take the place of an outdoor grill, but it does bring a taste of summer into the cold winter months. 'Cook's Illustrated' also gave the Anolon 'Advanced' 12" Deep Covered Grill Pan high marks, but this shallower, non-covered grill pan is $25 less and besides, who covers a grill pan when it is grilling anyway?

PS: I'm glad I 'recycled' my 10+ pound Lodge, cast-iron grill to my weight-lifting son for Christmas! :o)

First a little background. I rarely review products, I'm a very good cook and I've cooked professionally in several restaurants.

The analon grill pan is as good as it gets for stove top grilling. That being said it, like all the others it doesn't give you anything close to an outdoor grilled flavor. However, if used properly, it gives you several advantages of grilling: cooking above the fat, grill marks, and a slight grilled flavor.

Using the pan properly is key. I preheat the pan at a strong medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes, lightly coat the items I'm grilling with olive oil--rather than the pan, or a marinade/vinagrette, and deglaze the pan afterwards. I also fill the pan with water right after grilling and have had no trouble at all cleaning it later on.

I've grilled chicken, beef, pork, frozen shrimp and vegetables. I flattened (pounded) the chicken and pork as I think quick grilling best for this sort of appliance, but that's only speculation.

Using a grill pan may make for healthier pan cooking. There's concern now with the carcinogenic aspects of browning and carbonization in fat; since a grill pan lifts the food above the fat it causes less carbonization than does pan frying and therefore less carcinogens.

So, as long as you're not expecting true grilled flavor, you can't go wrong with this pan.

I purchased this pan because I moved to a condo in florida and we can't use grills. I have had a LeCruset grill pan much more expensive ..........that I have been using for years. My Sweets told me I was nuts for buying this pan......... because I was making better than restaurant quality steaks now. I kid you not she never ordered steak when we would go out because she would be disappointed they weren't good enough.

I was hoping this grill pan would cook some what as well as my cast iron..... but with none of the clean up problems. It met all of my expectations and more I just ordered a second one. Anolon you are my new best friend.

I just received this grill pan, and used it 3 times in the first week to cook steaks and pork chops. The pan heats quickly and evenly. It looks great. It's heavy and appears to be well made. The non-stick claim is a bit of a stretch, however. The meat is easly removed from the raised cooking surface, but the small pieces of fat, seasoning, and meat juices get stuck in the crevices. It takes me a couple of minutes to scrape off the debris, even using a special non-stick scouring sponge. I have many other non-stick products that are almost clean after just rinsing alone. I like the pan, but I'm considering returning it, so I can try another product that might require less work.

I do not use this pan a lot - i grill everything. But for a quick cook of veggies and slicing up some steak to cook for salad or something, this thing has worked perfectly. I run some hot water over it, squirt it with a little dawn and then use a plastic bristle brush on it - few brushes and it's clean. It heats evenly and it leaves great grill marks. I like it a lot.

As other reviewers have noted, this is a very well made, heavy pan, that is truly nonstick! I have several other Anolon Advanced pans and love them all.

You DO need to follow directions when working with Anolon Advanced -- that is, keep the temperature low/medium (you absolutely cannot use high temps and expect the pan to last) and definitely preheat the pan before you use it. We use this on mooseburgers (we live in AK) quite often and it's great. Clean up is easy easy easy! If you want a well made pan that will last as long as you adhere to the aforementioned 'rules', you'll probably love this pan as much as I do! Bon appetit!

This product is excellent, especially for grad students where time for cooking is pretty low. Pan heats up quickly and evenly and cleans easily too if you soak the pan after use. Less maintenance than a cast iron grill and lighter too. Works the best with thinner cut meats. Meat comes off cooked well and juicy - not tough and dry. Highly recommended. - Anolon - Analon - Calphalon - Cookware - Hard-anodized - Kitchen

Safety Can Opener - zyliss, safety can opener

I have several products made by Zyliss and have found them to be excellent quality, but this Zyliss Safe Edge can opener is a great disappointment for both ease of use and safety. I have found cans vary in ease of opening, but some cans are very difficult to open with this. After going around three or four times, the lids still did not pry off, but I had to bend them to get the product out. A greater concern is that it leaves small filings of metal on the lid that fall into the pan when the contents of the can is poured out.

I really like the edge type openers and will try to find another.

As others have mentioned, this can opener requires an extra step to get the lid off after it is opened. I found that to be a pain.

After 2 months of use, it has stopped opening cans for no apparent reason. I am thinking the blade has worn out already. This opened is going back.

I will never go back to a traditional can opener. Instead of sharp edges and the chance that a dirty lid can fall into the can, this takes off the lid in one smooth piece. The first time you try it, you will not be sure if you actually opened the can because of where it cuts the can. This is safe for kids to use. I used to only use electric can openers, but hated the sharp edges. You can open your can just as quickly with this and tuck it away in a drawer. It seems that we have so many appliances on our countertops already, so no need to have a can opener there as well. I highly recommend this product. I am surprised it is not more mainstream by now!

As others have mentioned, this Zyliss can opener works in a completely different way than the traditional ones. If it bothers you to have to figure out and change how you do things, as is my wife, you don't want this. However, if you're interested in design and looking for a better opener, this is a great choice. I'll repeat what others have said but with a little different wording and description. I would say that the mechanism pries the entire lid off in the reverse of how it was put on. You lift the lid off intact, separated from the body of the can. The opener doesn't touch the food and there are no sharp edges. While it is dishwasher safe, this opener stays clean. Traditional openers cut through part of the can's top, leaving the lid's edge in place, whereas the Zyliss just takes off the whole lid.

Design and build are excellent: nice weight, good grips and easy to turn. I can't imagine that there is anything to wear out for many years.

I like edge can openers. This one functions well, but I had one previously that functioned better. The only drawback to this opener is that after you cut open the lid, you have to unlock the blade and relock the tip of the can opener on the lid in order to take the lid off. The previous can opener I had would take the lid off in the locked position after the lid was completely cut.

This is a good-looking opener. It feels nice in the hand. The handle is easy to turn. The whole thing locks and has a nice magnetic lid grabber, so you don't have to push your dirty lid into your clean food.

Unfortunately, like others have reported, after going around the lid, it fails to ultimately sever the lid from the can. It does this consistently. I have not had a single lid come clean with this opener. Thus the nifty lid grabber is worthless.

I'm sending it back.

The mechanism to close the opener on a lid is a little strange, and you have to get it just so, but even that process only takes a split second once you work out what to do the first time.

Ultimately, the thing opens cans like it claims to, and does it with a minimum of effort. We have left-handed and right-handed people, big and small, strong and weak, young and old using this can opener, and no one struggles after the first time.

Locking this can opener onto the top of a can might take a little getting used to the first time you do it. After that, you just turn the handle until you are done. I imagine you might need to use it to lift the lid on rare occasions, but it won't usually be necessary.

The blade wheel, which is the black and stainless steel wheel, is set back about 2mm from the sides of the recess for the can, and it also slants to one side. So if the can gets big enough, you will reach a point where there's not enough curve to allow it to fit. The breaking point is a bit smaller than the size of cans you get in warehouse stores or see in restaurant kitchens.

On a typical sized can, this opener is easy to use, does a great job, and leaves a clean cut. But the first time I tried this opener, I had to use considerable force and eventually gave up. I then noticed that the edge of the can rubbed through the opener on one side, and the force was needed because the can was jammed against the opener. DON'T USE THIS ON LARGE CANS!

I'd recommend this for left handed users, even though the blade tilt makes the can opener technically right handed. But you can turn the top handle clockwise with your left hand if you want to. If you turn it the other way, it will slip off. Clockwise is not truly "backwards" as it is with a pseudo left handed cheese grater, or other similar item with a handle on the side.

The bottom line is that aside from the cosmetic damage caused by using this on a big can, I still have a good opener. - Zyliss - Safety Can Opener - Kitchen - Manual Can Opener - Ergonomic - Kitchen Gadgets

Pots And Pans - pan, cookware

I had been toying with the idea of a non-stick "grill pan" for some time, and could never justify the expense... After all, I had a large George Foreman, and used it very rarely.

But I was running out of cookware to shop for <grin>, and began tracking several with the plan of buying the first one that came on at a great price.... I tracked both All Clads, and this one. I almost bought the large All Clad, but discovered they didn't qualify for the Amazon promotion, so that blew that!

Then this one came up at $29.99 and I jumped all over it!

I have done beef steaks, pork steaks and salmon on it with excellent results. Cleanup, though not a breeze, is quick enough. Cooking residue tends to stick tighter on either side of the rounded ribs, but I have yet to need anything more than a little dish soap and hot water on a terry dish cloth.

One caveat - I seriously doubt those with solid top Electric Ranges will be satisfied with this pan. The bottom is not smooth, but rather follows the ridged cooking surface - in reverse. I am not familiar with these ranges, but understand a perfectly flat surface is essential to successful cooking.

Now I'm thinking about the 11" square griddle....

;0))

PK

This is the perfect hamburger or grilled fish pan -- and it also makes great panninis, so you don't have to clutter up your kitchen with an extra single-use pan. Fits 4 burgers at a time and as long as you take care of it properly, sears nicely without anything sticking. More useful than the round shape, and easier to get the spatula in to turn things. Highly recommended.

Pros - Very nonstick, browns meat well even if it's nonstick, easy to clean up, easy to carry, stay cool metal handles, useful shape and size.

Cons - Like all nonstick, can't use high heat.

I've only had this pan a week, so I'm not sure how well it will hold up, but it's performed excellently so far. I used it to sear a whole beef tenderloin (before transferring to a roasting pan for the oven). The instructions said to avoid high heat, so I seared it over the equivalent of medium high heat on my 22K burner. The roast browned beautifully and I got good grill marks in the center (not as much towards the corners, but maybe because I didn't brown long enough).

Clean up was a breeze, with a couple drops of dishwashing liquid, hot water, and a soft bristle brush to scrub lightly.

I've also fried bacon, and the square shape makes it easy to pour out the rendered fat.

It's been easier & faster to preheat this pan than to preheat (& later clean) my range's grill burner, so I think I'll be using this more often than my grill burner.

I like it's lightweight feel, it's much easier to carry when laden with food than my previous Calphalon nonstick 12" saute pan (which always felt heavy & "tippy"), but it can fit just as much due to its square shape.

The handle truly stayed cool even when used to sear the tenderloin, and the round shape makes it easy to grasp (unlike the more flat handles of other pans).

I was given this pan for christmas as I requested a grill pan. First off the ridges in the pan are so shallow that they are mere bumps and the meat lays on the bottom of the pan. You might as well be cooking your meat in a flat bottomed pan, seriously this IS the case. Secondly you cannot get this pan hot enough to cook/sear meat. Remember non stick pans are not supposed to be heated to high heat. It does clean up well that is all I can say for it but if you have a flat bottomed non stick pan you have the same thing. Go to the store and look at these pans before you buy this one. In order to get grill marks on a piece of meat you need that meat to be held up by the ridges and a grill pan should let the grease drain to the bottom, this pan absolutely does neither. The one plus is you can actually saute onions in the pan after you cook the steak which you can't do in a REAL griddle pan, I know because I gave this pan away and purchased a proper cast iron grill pan and steaks taste like they are supposed to, GRILLED! Not FRIED or BOILED in their on FAT!!

Its the perfect size pan and easy to clean. I've cooked Thai stayle Chicken Satay sticks and salmon on it and it makes those awesome grill lines. I love using this pan...its so much easier & faster than using then firing up the outdoor grill.

I saw a friend who had this pan and I used it for chicken skewers which had to go into a hot oven. I liked that it was able to be in a hot oven yet was nonstick. Then I realized it was just what my husband wanted as he is the breakfast chef and had mentioned he wanted a square pan for cooking his bacon. So I bought it and it is perfect for making bacon fast and keeping it flat in the pan, not to mention all it's other uses and easy cleanup. - Pan - Cookware - Kitchen - Pots And Pans - Cooking - Hard-anodized
