After I got this, I looked it over very carefully, comparing it to one a friend got from Apple. This is either the real deal, or it's the best knock-off ever made. It has the same markings and numbers as the original.

The vendor of this charger can get away with calling it original apple because apparently "Original Apple" is the name of their company. This is not the Steve Jobs Nano charger although they have counterfeited it rather well. Nevertheless it seems to work okay and has pretty decent build quality. I'll be back to edit this review if it doesn't last. On the other hand, I'd probably just buy another since the return shipping is more than the initial cost.
I recently purchased an iPhone 4 but unfortunately I was not given the accessories, so I was forced with buying them on my own. After stopping by both, Target and Wal-Mart, I refused to pay retail ($19.99 for USB and $31.99 for Wall Adapter) knowing I could them cheaper here on Amazon. After searching for Authentic (OEM) Apple Wall Adapters, I cam across this one; so glad that I did. The price had me a bit worried about the quality, but this is the real deal! I have had no problems with Syncing or Charging. I mentioned Syncing as it came with a USB Cable too - which was a wonderful surprise (now I have an extra). It even arrived two days earlier than expected. To put it short - authentic Apple items at a fraction of the price ($8.99), included apple USB Cable (saved $19.99) and even had very quick shipping. I'm more than satisfied.
I ordered this the day before yesterday and I got it today. So pretty fast shipping. I ordered this to charge my Ipod Touch 4G because I'm going on vacation soon and don't want to lug my laptop around just to charge my electronics. I'm very pleased with this. It had a couple of tiny scratches on it but they aren't really noticeable and I don't really care. It works like a charm and looks like an original Apple USB Power Adapter. Around 5 bucks so better than paying 30 from Apple. Also seems to charge a lot faster than with the computer. I highly recommend buying this here if you're on a budget. Also this is pretty small so you probably want to keep it put up somewhere if you don't want to lose it.

At the bottom of the description for this item, it says: ' Supported Models and Categories:. Apple iPAD Tablet 3G Version. Apple iPhone 3G Accessories. Apple iPhone 3G S Cell Phone Accessories. Apple iPhone 4 Cell Phone Accessories. Apple iPOD Touch Accessories'. I have a 3GS and this adapter does not work for the 3GS.
I plugged this in to my iPhone. It warned me that "charging was not supported with this accessory." When I then went to unplug it, it literally fell apart. The blades and based pulled away from the box. This is the biggest piece of junk I've ever purchased from amazon. Save your money.
I was nervous about buying an item from somewhere other than an Apple store, but wanted to save a little money. I received my power adapter and charged my phone from 6% up to 100%. It worked perfectly and I am very pleased with my purchase!
