Bellaonline Recommends - flat iron, conair

ConAir's last flat iron was a big fat lemon. I loathed it so much, I refused to buy another one by this company. I went out and spent about eighty bucks for a HAI straighter instead. It's worth every penny, believe you me. But then I tried ConAir's new ceramic straightener. And man, was I floored.

I had to borrow a friend's, since I'd left mine at home. What a surprise! Heats up quickly, and hair glides smoothly past the plates, leaving hair not only straight, but shiny. I had gone to sleep with just-from-the-shower wet hair and woke up with a horrible resmeblance to some feathery 70's boufant do. A sweep over with the Conair ceramic flat iron left me with soft, shiny and straight hair in less than 15 minutes. I've had nothing but frizzy trouble since moving to SW Florida, and my hair refuses to go flat without the use of a good flat iron. I'm happy to say this particular ConAir flat iron makes up for a multitude of past sins, and doesn't put a dent in your budget. Comes with 2 brush attachments that slide on the side of the plates. Also features a "power" and "turbo power" button, which I can only assume means "turbo" is volcano-like hot, which is exactly what it felt like.Conair Flat Iron 2" Ceramic Straightener - Dual Voltage.

Don't waste your 50 bucks on those salon professional ceramic flat irons. this one is just as good for half the price. i only spent 22 bucks on this great item and it works like a dream. i've always had frizzy hair and the amazing ceramic heated iron really straightens in no time. Ceramic flat irons are the way to go. I highly recommend this to anyone.

I wish I would have bought one of these a couple years back when I started growing out my hair. And to think it is pretty cheap too. Wow.

My hair looks great now! I feel a lot more confident about myself and more happy with my hair. Doesn't get rid of all the frizz but that's what frizz lotion is for, right?

This is really easy to use...the comb pick works wonders, while I wasn't too impressed with the bristle pick.

Still, my hair has never looked this good and I owe it all to this gizmo. If you have long, wavey and/or unmanageable hair, pick up one of these today.

I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed with this straightener. From the way the other review were written, I assumed it worked like a miracle for only 22$. I made up a little test of my own to see how good it was. I washed my hair, waited until it dried into a frizzy puff, then put in braids and slept on it. The next morning, I had frizz all over and huge puffy waves.

The straightener took only minutes to heat up, a huge plus. I love the huge plates so I can straighten faster. I first tried a temperature of 10. It worked beautifully on the fine, thin parts of my hair, but on the coarser, thicker parts, it wasn't enough. I set it on 15 and straightened. The waves disappeared immediately but the hair was still a little puffy. I ran the straightener down again and I had shiny straight hair but more volume than I bargained for.

Pros: 1) 2 minute heat up time 2) 25 temperature settings 3) huge plates 4) made hair shiny 5) straightened hair great 6) tamed some frizz 7) really shows off the layers in my hair 8) 2 year warranty.

Cons: 1) Gave my hair too much volume (but that could just be my hair) 2) couldn't tame all the frizz 3) i keep bumping the temperature dial on the iron, thus making the iron heat up all over again, but I think I can just scotch tape it so it doesn't move.

All in all a great value, especially for the price. I think it would benefit those with curly hair but it MIGHT be a bit of a disappointment to thick hair.

I have a-little-past-shoulder-length, curly, blond hair. I have bought numerous straighteners to try to make it straight, and this is the only one that has truly worked. It stays straight when it is humid, and it has these neat combs that attach to it. The boar bristle one makes hair shiny and the comb untangles hair for the fastest straightening. It heats up in no time flat. Straightening my hair used to take an hour or so. Now, it takes 15 minutes. I let it heat for a minute and it is ready to go. It has up to 25 heat settings, too. For convenience, I leave mine on 25. It heats up the fastest and takes the least time. With other straighteners, I have had problems with product buildup on the plates, affecting the heat distribution. This one does not have one single speck of product anywhere on the plates. I am a teenager and I don't have a job, so I watch my money and how I spend it. This is the best money I have ever spent. I higly recommend this product!

I have thick, long hair with a wave in it. I've tried just about everything to straighten it (and I don't care how good you are with a brush; straightening your hair with a blow dryer is impossible.)

This thing WORKS. Wow! Heats up fast, glides through your hair like a dream, and the result is impossibly shiny, stick-straight hair!

I can't recommend this highly enough, esp. for the price. A true bargain! - Flat Iron - Conair - Hair Care - Inexpensive

Massage Brush - hair care, massage brush

I like this type of brush, lost the one I had, then found out how difficult they can be to find. Then I found out how ridiculously expensive they are considering they're made of plastic, weigh almost nothing, are worth about what a plastic key chain prize is worth after popping balloons at a carnival. For some reason, pretty much across the board, they are very expensive and carry very expensive shipping charges, unless, of course, I would by two dozen of them at a time. That would be around 2.3 lifetimes worth of plastic shampoo brushes. Does it work as advertised? Yes, it's a plastic shampoo brush. Low tech, no moving pieces, shoves hair around my head, so yes, it works as advertised. Is it worth the price? No, unless you're into collecting worthless Pez dispensers...and plastic shampoo brushes. Rule of thumb for me now, keep my eyes open if/when I visit a dollar store and maybe get lucky enough to find some, pick up a dozen for what I paid for this one...or make a point of not losing the one I have. Bottom line: if you have to have one, this is one.

The previous reviewer was upset that the handle broke.

I've used shampoo brushes of this sort for at least 50 years, and, in my opinion, the Denham brush is superior to all its competitors.

First of all, maybe one shouldn't consider the "handle" to be a way to grasp and secure the brush, but rather as a kind of spring to hold it against the scalp.

Consider this: the brush is round, Grasp in in your palm with one side against the heel of your hand and your fingertips opposite. The "handle" will be across your palm, but you're actually holding the brush by its outside rim.

Now use the brush to spread shampoo through your hair and to massage your scalp. The brush may rotate a little as it encounters more or less resistance, but that's fine, because the spring/handle is holding it against your head and your fingers and the heel of your hand are controlling the whole thing.

I'll BETCHA the "handle" won't break that way!

The Denham is superior in several ways to other shampoo brushes. The plastic from which it's made is much sturdier than cheaper brushes. Since there is no center post, there is nothing to snag in your hair. The teeth are much less likely to break off than the more flimsy competition. It's really, REALLY easy to clean, because there's no place your hair can accumulate in this thing.

So pop the buck or so extra and get a much better, much more durable shampoo brush that'll last you for years. Better yet, pop for two of 'em, one for your shower and the other for your travel kit.

One of the great bargains and great comforts available through Amazon.

I bought this and I love it.

That is till I told my barber and he hit me in the back of the head and gave me five of them for free.

Ahem...anyway.

I love the shampoo brush.

This model is nice.

Not as nice as free but still...it does the job.

I can't shampoo without one.

The feel of the massage.

Sometimes it hurts if you have sensitive scalp.

Use lightly, don't rake it down your head.

It's meant to massage not hurt lol.

Anyway, if you can't get them for free and you need deep cleaning for your scalp than I highly recommend this brush.

What a rip off: $6 for a single shampoo brush! My former barber sold them to me for $2 each two years ago. Besides that, the advertising is deceptive because the (D6) next to the brand name gave me the impression I was ordering six brushes for $6.

Denman Be-Bop Shampoo Brush (D6)

This shampoo brush does the job; however, the handle always snaps off when running the brush through thick, curly hair. While fixable, it becomes frustrating when it snaps after every other brush stroke and you have to snap it back in. - Hair Care - Massage Brush - Scalp Brush - Scalp Massager

Flattening Irons - flat iron, ceramic

OK, here's what you do....buy the CONAIR INFINITI Tourmaline straightening hair dryer (it's WONDERFUL), buy the Remington T3 Tourmaline flat iron and buy some Chi Silk Fusion or Biosilk. Wet to silky straight takes about 25 minutes total if you follow this advice. After showering, towel dry hair, and put the silk drops on your ends (don't use too much---this will take a few tries). Also spray your wet hair with a heat protecting flat iron spray for good measure. Use the hair dryer exactly as intended (it's not hard at all- I don't get the neg reviews). If you have shoulder-length or longer hair, it's easiest to put your hair in two ponytails (one behind each ear) and dry the ponytails first using this dryer. Then take them out and dry the rest of your hair with the dryer. Only takes about 10-15 minutes this way (and I have VERY thick curly hair).

Use the Remington T3 Tourmaline flatiron on 410 degrees (don't pull it through too slowly---that's very hot). Then when finished, spray a glossing spray on your dry hair and rub it down. FINISHED and your hair will be BEAUTIFUL!! I've gotten soooooo many compliments on my hair since I bought these two pieces of equipment and started straightening this way. I have been SEARCHING for 20 years for an effective way to straighten that doesn't take forever or prevent me from having my morning shower. THIS IS IT PEOPLE. TRY IT!

I did not really believe the reviews on here that this flatiron is better than the 100 dollar ones but, oh my goodness, THIS IS THE BEST FLATIRON I have ever owned. I will never pay for a Chi or Solia again after using this one. It will straighten anything FAST. Unbelievable, I tell you!Remington S-9400 Tstudio Collection Digital Ceramic Hair Straightener with Tourmaline 2 1/4" Wide Plates

I have thick, coarse hair and finding the right straightener is a chore. This product would be amazing if it didn't have two major problems: 1-The ceramic plates have minimal buffer from the edges and therefore can burn you very easily. Even though quite careful and experienced with straighteners, I have already burnt my fingers twice and my forehead once. 2-The lack of a built-in (or detachable) comb makes it much harder for thicker hair to be straightened. Frankly if it hadn't been for the burning issues, I would have given it 5 stars, despite the lack of a comb. The pros are plenty, however, and more than enough to make this product close to the best salon ones, at a great price. The plates heat up very well, the heat setting locks and can't be changed or turned off by accident as in some other products (such as the Conair Infiniti straightener), there is virtually no static and the end result is silky and smooth hair.

Like many of the other reviews below, I bought this at Target because the straightener I went to buy was sold out. Since mine had died the morning before and I have not gone a single morning in about 10 years without straightening my hair, a purchase was required! I bought this one and brought it home figuring I could return it if it proved a flop...fortunately this was a phenomenal accident!

This straightener is amazing. The very first day I was impressed with its speed and smoothness since I am often let down by straighteners that fail to handle my wavy thick hair. A very quick pass or two and I was done and out the door! Later, I was shocked to receive a ton of compliments on my hair. By the time I got home I expected my hair to have returned to its normal wavy state, but again was pleased to see perfectly straight and frizz free hair. I decided to withhold judgment for a couple more weeks not wanting to jinx the product or something...but here I am today writing this review several weeks later with the same smile on my face.

I have tried a Chi and a Solia (those expensive ones that get all the hype) as well as several regular name brand ones including a Conair one (that worked alright) and the wet2straight one (that worked well, but would not last hours later) and nothing was as good as this one! I have already recommended it to all my friends!

Best of luck with the decision as I know all of these things come with a ton of positive reviews to sift through! On price and quality, I do have to say that I cannot see anything beating this one!

I had a Vidal Sassoon 2 1/4" ceramic straightener that I used religiously everyday for 6 years. This week, it died and so I needed to go out and buy a new flat iron. I would have gladly purchased the same flat iron if I could, but it's long been discontinued.

I actually bought this flat iron at Target and got to use it this morning. Compared to my last flat iron, this one just seems to glide through my hair easier. I have really thick, coarse hair that sometimes requires several passes in order to get it tamed. With this straighter, one pass and it was done. I could not believe it! It may have something to do that the plates are tourmaline ceramic vs regular ceramic, but it does heat up quickly and does a great job. Plus, it comes with a 4 year warranty so I'll be using this flat iron for a long time! - Flat Iron - Ceramic - Remington - Hair Care

Shampoo Brush - shampoo brush, head massager

This shampoo scalp massage brush works great. Finger ring holder works flawlessly compared to others who have open ended rings that slip of your fingers. I got this one to replace one I bought from a barber years ago and its pretty similar in quality. The only difference is that the bristles on this one was a little shorter than the one I had. I use one for shampoo scalp massaging in the shower and another one to use as a hair brush. Again, this one was great and the vendor was kind enough to answer my email prior to me buying this item from them. I highly recommend this product and this vendor too.

Great if you're hair is getting a little thin. Massaging stimulates the scalp, gets the blood flowing and stimulates new hair growth. Besides, it just plain feels good. Got one from a friend a long time ago. It finally fell apart and I've been looking for them for ages. Love it.

The pictured items show a closed ring that you slip onto a finger to hold the brush which is more secure than the handle on the brushes that were sent that have two open half rings. The Chinese made products available today are much flimsier than the ones sold under the Goody hair products name that we bought many years ago.

Product shipped is not at all what is pictured. Cheap, hard, scallop-shaped plastic with no finger loop, but rather a two-finger open stirrup that pops off with each use. Very hard, non-flexible bristles, so stiff you couldn't possibly use them on your scalp. Even our dog wouldn't allow us to use it on her when we tried to salvage the purchase and use it as a dog scrubber for bathing her. The quality brings a whole new low to the stamp "Made In China", plus the seller has a NO RETURNS policy. Shame on the seller for deceiving buyers (update the photo to the item you're actually selling) and for not standing behind their product and allowing returns (you obviously know you're selling cheap, sub-standard products)...and shame on Amazon.com for allowing them to conduct business like this and take advantage of loyal Amazon customers.

I had been looking for a replacement for a shampoo scalp massage brush I accidentally left at a motel while traveling. I couldn't find one anywhere locally. I found this 6-pack on Amazon.com. I'm delighted to have these--and, I now have "spares" in case I lose one.

The picture of the brushes shows a ring that you put your finger through to hold the brush, but the ones I received were different. They have a plastic piece (wobbly, by the way) that you put two fingers under, which makes the brush harder to hold. The brushes themselves are fine. - Shampoo Brush - Head Massager - Massage Brush - Hair Care

Best Flat Iron - hair straightener, hair care

I consider myself to be a hair product junkie and expert. You name it i probably know about, have it, or tried it. I have used a Solia Flat Iron for 5 years. She still kicks but not quite like she use to. I can't pin point it. It still gets hot but maybe not as even. Anyway I decided to try some cheaper iron just until I could splurge on another solia or comparable iron. I found this at target. The whole teflon thing made sense to me. Anyone who cooks knows the joy of a non-stick surface. IN theory hair gliding with less friction/strain would have less breakage. My first time using it. I started at around 1/2 way on the heat dial and I realized how crazy hot it was so i turned it down. Mostly out of fear my smoke alarm might go off. First Pass and I was like you have to be kidding me! ?! I am african american and my hair was in dire need of a relaxer and a deep condition. It was dry dry...that one pass left my hair sooo soft and shiny. I had some kind of shock. Then I asked myself how much i paid for this thing?? seriously?! Just get one. It's equal to any of those expensive irons minus the damage. Also, I can leave this iron at a 5 and my hair is pin straight... it smokes/steams a lot. Doesn't leave a smell or fried feeling. I think the iron reacts to left over conditioner and products in the hair and causes the smoke on the plates. I would be scared to put this thing on high. I have no idea how anyone could say it doesn't get hot enough?! Are you trying to burn your hair off? Is it plugged in? Did you let it heat up for a few minutes? There is no reason anyone should need to put 410 degrees on their hair and then to say it didn't get hot enough...

**Update-I think they are selling a different model these days...mine does not look like the one pictured. I will see if I can get the updated product and review that one as well.** Oh and I recently tried my old one after using the Sedu for awhile. When I get the updated model I will edit this review further to include my comparison to the Sedu :)**Remington S2044 Damage Therapy Ceramic Hair Straightener with Teflon Fiber Plates

I purchased this Remington after my Revlon flat iron literally blew up in my hand! I had another Jilbere flat iron as a back-up but after buying this, I've already ditched it. This one is different and I really like the teflon fiber plates. I have fine, wavy, frizzy hair and I usually have to iron twice to get my desired effect, but this iron is so efficient, it took only one pass and my hair is STRAIGHT! Iron get's very hot - heat setting was at 10 and hot. I REALLY like the feel of the teflon over a ceramic or metal surface it does seem to hug the hair better. Also has a swivel cord, to it won't kink and create an electrical hazard (like my revlon did). Controls are in just the right spot too, they don't get in the way at all. I'm glad I bought this!

I was extremely happy with this straightener until I noticed that it wasn't working as well as it normally does. One side of the iron no longer heats up. Becasue this happened 5 months after I purchased the iron, I could no longer return it via Amazon. However, I contacted Reminton's warranty department and they graciously sent out a new unit. Now this is a company that backs up their products. Highly recommended.

This lil sleek flat iron is amazing! My purpose of buying this straightener is because of its "damage control." I love my hair! It's all natural and I don't want to ever damage it anymore by always straightening and curling. This iron is gentle on the hair and doesn't break it as you pass down. I also bought this because I wanted to avoid that "burning" smell on your hair. This one is covered with teflon fiber. Now, I have never used such a thing, but I figured, what do I have to lose. And it works amazing! I put products in my hair, and even when I run the flat iron through, it leaves the scent of whatever my hair product way! It also has tourmaline which reduces the fly-aways! The max heat is 430* and heats up within 20 sec! I got it at Bed Bath and Beyond for $44.99 (probably even less had I used a coupon), and for that price it works just as good as chi or babyliss; and it doesn't damage your hair as much!

I had been blow-drying straight my naturally curly hair since the 7th grade. Well, after two (almost three) kids, I just do not have that kind of time to self-indulge anymore! Also, I live in Florida and always hated the way blow-drying would make me hot and sweaty first thing in the morning. So - I've been wearing my hair natural for a while. And, quite frankly, was getting a little tired of it. So I did a little research to find an affordable flat-iron and decided on this one. I also like that the teflon plates are supposed to be less-damaging - since I still want to wear my hair curly sometimes. I used it for the first time last night and I am SOLD! I read the directions carefully, and it actually says that it heats up in 30 seconds - which is awesome for someone already time-crunched. I have thin, wavy hair on the top of my head and thin, 1" corkscrews on the back of my head. This iron glided through on the 12 setting and straightened my entire head in about 10 minutes. MUCH better results than blow-drying + round brush + brush rollers! And no sweatiness. I also really appreciate that it comes with a lock - to keep out curious little fingers. My hair is still smooth and silky this morning after. I love this thing! - Hair Straightener - Hair Care - Remington - Straightener

Ceramic Flat Iron - flat iron, hair straightener

I have very fine, medium-thick hair that's wavy and all my life I have been struggling to get it to stay straight without frizzies. My hair is straight after blow drying and using a curling iron to smooth it out, but 20 minutes later my hair doesn't look as smooth anymore. I'd never tried a flat iron before but thought that since I was essentially using a large curling iron to smooth it down in the same manner, maybe a flat iron would be the way to go. Since I'd never had one before I came here and did some extensive research into what type to get. I knew that they could be very expensive and was willing to pay if it was worth it, but luckily came across this item. It was so cheap that I figured if it didn't work well, so be it, I wouldn't be broke because of it and I'd just go buy another. Well, there was no need to worry because this thing works great. My hair has never looked this good in my life. The first time I used it I went out and everyone was asking me, what did you do to your hair, it looks great. Even on a day when it's raining my hair stays straight. It used to be that even a hint of rain or humidity and my hair would start to fuzz up, but no more. And I'm finally getting used to it, where it was taking me what seemed forever to straighten all my hair I now have down to a science and it takes just minutes to do. If you're new to flat irons and thinking of getting one of those ultra expensive models, do yourself a favor and try this one first, you won't be sorry and you'll have saved yourself a ton of money. Oh, and my stylist says that Andis is a very good brand, they have been making professional dog and people grooming tools for a long, long time.Andis 67095 1-Inch Ceramic Clamp Flat Iron

This is the best straightener I've ever used--and you can't beat the price either! I have coarse hair that is part wavy, part curly and part straight and is also fairly frizzy. This works like a dream. My hair is so soft, smooth and shiny after I use it (no more waves or frizz). I started using it two weeks ago and every day someone new tells me how good my hair looks. Andis makes a much better straighener than Conair (my Conair was a piece of junk that didn't do anything for my hair). It's easy to use and the different heat settings are great.

This flat iron also makes great curls! I have long fine hair...and a ton of it. I always run into trouble with regular curling irons...it curls great, then falls within a few hours, even with a lot of product in my hair. I saw flat iron curls a few weeks ago and decided to try it myself. The Andis flat iron was the mid-priced one at a local store. My first attempt at making curls with this flat iron was a great success! It is so simple, and the curls are so full and bouncy...and they are staying in my hair...without product!! If you are looking for a different type of curl...go with this flat iron! I am very happy with this product!Andis 67095 1-Inch Ceramic Clamp Flat Iron

I was searching for a cheap flat iron to store at my boyfriend's house so that I would not have to transport my Solia 1 1/4'' Ceramic Tourmaline back and forth each weekend. I wanted a product that looked similar to my Solia since I was already accustomed to using it. I found this one and purchased it due to high reviews. It arrived the next day (bonus points), even though I received free shipping. At a price a little over $17, this item met all my expectations. Some reviewers on other sites have stated that this Andis is just as good if not better than a $100+ CHI, but I highly doubt that is so. When I opened the product from its plastic case, I could tell right away that the quality was not comparable to my Solia which was ~$85. So if you are able to spend the extra dollars, definitely go for a higher end iron, as it is much worth its price. Anyhoos, as for this specific product, it is able to go up to 375 degrees (as stated on its packaging). However, the heat dial on the iron is not in units of degrees, rather it is on some sort of scale from 0-20. First I set the dial to 15, but felt the heat radiating from it from a foot away, so I truned the dial down to 10. It heated up in about a minute. I have found that I could get my hair straight on the first go if I just went slowly with a small section of hair at a time. I had permed my hair into loose waves last Decemeber, and now that it's grown out a bit, I have found the curls to look a bit awkward and prefer to straighten it when I have the time. For reference, I have thick, Asian hair that is naturally pretty straight (but now chemically permed). I was able to straighten my hair in less than 10 minutes, taking care to straighten the bottom, middle, and top portions separately. I used VO5 Heat Defense spray to protect my hair and let it dry prior to ironing. However, I did not feel that my hair was as smooth or as shiny as when I used my Solia. A couple times while I was ironing with the Andis, I could feel the plates catching a couple hairs and pulling them out (ouch). While this product is a good purchase for $17, I am glad that I will only be using this only the weekends and not everyday. - Flat Iron - Hair Straightener - Hair Care - Andis

Beauty And Grooming - flat iron, hair straightener

I have very dry, thick, curly hair and a lot of volume too. Every few months I have to relax my curl in order to keep it under control. I also live in the tropics where heat and a lot of humidity don't exactly help my hair remain frizz free. I was very skeptical when I first bought this product because I had tried many hair straighteners and all had given me poor results. Thank goodness that I was finally proven wrong! This product definitely does what it says it will do and is very affordable in comparison to other products on the market. I flatten my hair after I blow dry it and I have finally been able to tame my wild hair into soft, smooth, silky, straight hair. I have been getting plently of compliments but most importantly, I feel happy with my hair! I have recommended this product to friends and family and they have also acheived wonderful results. I recommend that you buy a deep conditioning treatment (Redken Heavy Cream) and leave it in your for 15 minutes with a self warming cap, rinse out and apply a heat protectant on your hair (Redken Heat Glide) before the process. Your hair will be fabulous!Remington Wet 2 Straight 2" Wide Plate Wet/Dry Ceramic Hair Straightening Iron with Tourmaline

I know this review may not be very helpful to most of you but I am just going to name some problems with this straigtening iron to warn you.I have wavy hair too so some of these problems may not affect you.

-It doesn't straighten wet hair.(It actually does, but my hair is still partially wet and it becomes wavy after it dries)

-It is only COATED in ceramic, after a while of use, it eventually chips off, leaving your hair exposed to even more damage than it has already done.(I'd suggest getting a ceramic plated straightener)

-The straight hair doesn't last. After a day at school, it starts getting wavy, especially if it is humid outside.

-It does damage to your hair. Its not as bad as those $10.00 ones but you still end up with a bunch of split ends and frizzy, damaged hair

There are also good things to it too, and it seems awesome when you first get it but eventually after a short while it wears down. I'd suggest getting a little bit more expensive hair straightener that will live up to the price.

I read the reviews and was quite skeptical since I've tried almost everything to straighten my coarse, thick, curly hair. I get my hair chemically relaxed about every 9 months. But the results keep my hair still curly, just not as bad. I've used ionic hair dryers, flat irons, curling irons, etc. It usually is an hour and a half process and me sweating half of my body weight in the bathroom! But this product eliminated the hair dryer...no sweating! It straightened quite nice! I used a comb in conjunction. That's the only thing I wish it had built in. My hair section was completely dry in the one passage. The entire process only took me about a half hour! Just make sure you condition well and use a good hairspray to ensure lasting results. I used my curling iron to secure and smoothe my ends. I'm impresssed.

I have long, moderately thick, wavy hair with a total mind of its own -- lots of product and/or putting it up seemed to be the only solution to gaining a neat, all-day style. (I'm not ready or willing to take the step of chemically straightening.) I had completely despaired of ever being able to successfully straighten my hair myself, no matter how much I quiz my stylist -- I've tried all kinds of gadgets and products that promise how easy it will be, and invariably end up with a big frizzy bush on my head that I have to pin up anyway.

Well, I bought the wet2straight last weekend, and all I can say is THIS THING WORKS. It IS easy, and it works QUICKLY too. I haven't tried it yet on freshly towel-dried hair, but may do so on a weekend when I have more time. I typically let my hair air dry for about 45 minutes to an hour, while I go about the rest of getting ready for my day, and I use a straightening product (Fructis smoothing milk). In about 15-20 minutes I have glossy, dry, STRAIGHT hair. It is AMAZING and I am so happy!

Note: there are two sizes, wide and slim. The packaging made no distinction about the difference, but a helpful sales clerk said that the wide plates work better on long hair, and the slim plates are better for short hair.

I can't believe all of the bad reviews! This straightener is awesome! I have really thin and sensitive, wavy hair, and all of the other straighteners I've used just made my hair REALLY frizzy, or even burn it! The worst part was, they didn't even straighten my hair one bit!!! This straightener is the only one that worked really well so far. I've been using it every day for a while now. My hair stays straight ALL day. It even added more shine, smoothness, softness, and even VOLUME to my hair! no other straightener has ever done that. I'm sure that there's better straighteners out there but this one works great and is at an affordable price. I would DEFINITLY recommend this straightener for ALL hair types. Personally, I prefer to use it when my hair's wet. I've learned thatit stays straight longer that way. As long as you straighten your hair in very thin layers from underneath, and work your way to the outside, it works great!! At the beginning, it took me about an hour to straighten my hair. After some practice, I got down to only 40 minutes. Now, it only takes me 20-30 minutes to straighten my hair. And I mean REALLY STRAIGHTEN it. Moisturizer - coconut, coconut oil

I had read that organic coconut oil was good for healing skin yeast infections so I thought I'd try it. This is alot of coconut oil for the price!! It smells clean and like coconut ( of course!) It cleared up my minor infection within days. I use the oil all over now because it goes on smoothly and absorbs into the skin rather quickly. Don't leave it in the sun because the heat will warm it to liquid!

This product has several uses. My sister told me about coconut oil and I researched further. Not all coconut oils are the same. This one is great for me because I have used it to condition my hair as well as my skin. Also you can eat and cook with this product. It has the most delightful light natural coconut fragrance. It desolves quickly into the skin without oily residue. Fast absorbtion. Gentle too!

Since Extra Virgin Coconut Oil has so many practical uses, I had a tough time picking one off the internet, but I'm so pleased with my purchase! It's a balm-like texture, but quickly melts with your normal body heat, smells fantastic, goes on smooth but doesn't leave you feeling oily. I use it for a lot of things, but the main thing I'm loving it for is as a facial moisturizer! It's the best! I can put it on after a shower, before bed, in the morning before putting on makeup, whatever... and no oily residue is left behind!

I haven't used this for cooking (I am ordering another jar for that purpose) but I love this product as a skin and hair moisturizer! The smell is amazing, like fresh coconut, but is light and not overpowering. It makes my skin so soft and helps keep my curls shiny and healthy looking. The oil is solid out of the jar but easily melts when I rub my hands together. It makes a wonderful massage oil too. I am sold on this stuff, I can't imagine going back to regular body lotion.

Tastes great and is a great source of energy to have for intense physical activities. I find myself lasting longer and going harder in my workouts when I have a tablespoon of this before I go to the gym. My only gripe is that it's a solid, not a liquid. So I heat it up on the stove for a minute to liquefy it.

this product came fast and was sealed, a lot of people dont mention if a product comes sealed or not but you need to know with coconut oil because if you live in a hot state it will be in liquid form and you dont want it spilling all over the place ok now on to the product when i first opened it, it smelled so good and it does kinda smell like roasted nuts but the smell is not too strong to turn you off and then i tasted it but it had no taste and i havent cooked with it because im using it for my body. after i shaved it put some on and it made my skin smooth and mosty importantly it wasnt greasy you just dont know how much i hate greasy oils that sit on top of your skin and do nothing oh and i put this on my hiarline and it made it feel soooo soft, i know in my previous reviews i've said that im giving up on oils but i was just using the wrong ones the whole time and now i've found an oil that gonna be sticking around

ps. when it arrived it was in soild form so i just put it in the microwave for 30 seconds and it didnt turn into complete liquid but wasnt soild i think its easier to use this way because when you rub it in your hands it turns to liquid anyway

pss. i hate the fact that this organic coconut oil came in a plastic jar it would have been nice if it came in a glass jar

After a very cold winter my skin was horribly dry...so I went online to see what the best moisturizer was and one site said organic coconut oil. I went to Amazon and found what I needed. I have to say it is just wonderful. It can be used for other things besides skin care. I haven't tried any of those things yet, but I really love how it makes my skin feel. And it smells delicious. When this container is empty I'll be getting another. I love it.

I'm not exaggerating, this is the best smelling and best tasting coconut oil I have ever seen. It smells like an almond joy candy bar and tastes so good I almost want to eat it out of the can. try this for yourself and you won't be disappointed. - Coconut - Coconut Oil - Hair Care - Miracle - Moisturizer
