Worked perfectly to transfer user settings from an older XP PC to a new Windows 7 PC. But, directions were poor and included CD software was useless. Finally figured out what to do using Microsoft's knowledge Base.
I used this to transfer all of my files from my old PC to a new laptop (XP to Windows 7). The problem came in getting the transfer to start; neither computer could "decide" which one needed to be connected first, so there was a little crapshoot there. Once the transfer began, I didn't have to do anything - but it did take nearly 8 hours. The biggest downfall, besides the time of the transfer, is that you can't do anything on either system while this is in progress. My suggestion?
